Overview

Keycards in Escape from Tarkov are your gateway to some of the game’s most valuable rooms, where high-tier loot awaits. These cards are scattered across different maps, each with its own unique set of spawn points, and knowing where to look can make all the difference. Here’s a guide to locating and using each keycard effectively.

Yellow Keycard

 4.2.-Card-1

The Yellow Keycard has three potential spots in the Labs. On the second floor, it may be found in Room R24 (Cafeteria) on a table by the window overlooking Reception. Another possible location is on a conference table in Room O21 (Main Working Area), also on the second level. Room O11 on the first floor has a workstation where it may appear as well. With this card, you can unlock the secure room (Y21) to control the Parking Garage alarm system. Inside, you’ll find items like weapon mods, a Drawer, a PC Block, and a Weapon Safe. Yellow Keycards are rare these days, selling for up to 2 million rubles, so keep an eye on the Flea Market or check bosses’ pockets for one.

Black Keycard

 4.7.-Card-6

The Black Keycard also has multiple locations within the Labs. Look on a table in Room O11 or near a monitor on a desk close by. You’ll need a Green Keycard to access Room G22 (Sterile Laboratory), where you might find the Black Keycard by a computer. Once you have access to the black room (G12), you’ll find useful loot like medical supplies, a LedX, and sometimes a thermal scope, making it worth the search. Black Keycards can be found on the Flea Market, often in trades involving high-value items like other keycards.

Green Keycard

4.6.-Card-5

The Green Keycard, highly sought after and rare, has a few spawn locations in the Labs. Possible spots include a desk near Room G11 (Infirmary), the reception desk in Room O21, and a shelf in the hallway leading to Room R23. This card unlocks Room G22, a sterile lab filled with loot such as weapon mods, medical supplies, and, occasionally, a Black Keycard. It’s a rare find on the Flea Market, so keep watch for listings that might pop up unexpectedly.

Red Keycard

4.5.-Card-4

One of the game’s most valuable, the Red Keycard has several spawn locations on Shoreline. Check Room 221 in the Health Resort’s East Wing, where it could be on a table with a laptop. Another possible location is Room 218 in the West Wing, where it may appear on a water barrel, and there’s also a locker in the West Wing basement gym where it sometimes spawns. The Red Keycard grants access to Room R23 on the second floor of the Labs, where you can find a Folder with intelligence, antique items, high-end weapons (like the M4A1 and MP5), and weapon mods. With its rarity, this keycard is usually priced between 20 to 45 million rubles on the Flea Market.

Blue Keycard

4.8.-Card-7

The Blue Keycard can be tricky to locate and may not always be worth the effort. It has three spawn points on Shoreline: in Office 112 in the Health Resort’s West Wing (on a cabinet near a TV), Office 104 (on a desk), and an ambulance parked in front of the Resort near the passenger side door. This keycard opens the quarantine zone (Room G11) on the first level of the Labs. Loot in this area is limited to a Medcase and scattered medical supplies, with only a small chance for a LedX. The Blue Keycard’s high Flea Market price makes it a costly investment, so carefully consider whether it’s worth the hunt.

Violet Keycard

4.3.-Card-2

The Violet Keycard can be found in Woods with some patience. The first spawn spot is in a brick house north of the lumber camp, next to an open book on a table. You can also check near the sawmill area, where it may appear in the back or driver’s seat of a nearby car. This keycard unlocks Room R23 on the Labs’ second floor, right across from the Red room. Inside, expect loot like weapons (such as M4A1 and MP5SD), weapon mods, loose valuables, two 5×5 Weapon Boxes, a 4×4 Weapon Box, and items like the Military COFDM Wireless Signal Transmitter and VXP Flash Storage Module. Due to its value, the Violet Keycard often sells for around 4 million rubles, and you can also craft it in the hideout, though it requires three Yellow Keycards to do so.

TerraGroup Labs Access Keycard

4.4.-Card-3

The TerraGroup Labs access keycard is a single-use item needed to enter The Lab in Escape from Tarkov. This card is consumed with each entry, except in practice modes, where it remains intact. If you’re part of a group, each player needs their own keycard to gain entry, with a maximum of five keycards allowed in your inventory at once.

You can find this keycard in various places across different maps:

  • General Loot Spots – the keycard may appear in drawers, rare valuables crates, and common fund stashes, as well as in the pockets and bags of Scavs and bosses.
  • Customs – check the marked room in the three-story dorms for a possible spawn.
  • Reserve – look in marked rooms labeled RB-BK, RB-PKPM, and RB-VO.
  • Streets of Tarkov – possible spawns include marked rooms at the abandoned factory and Chekannaya 13.
  • Lighthouse – the peninsula marked room is another spot to search.

Since this access card is highly sought after, checking these locations regularly can improve your chances of securing one.
