Currently, the Hunter class has regained its status as the most popular in Destiny 2. The introduction of the expansion “The Final Shape,” along with the new prismatic subclass for Hunters, has been a significant moment for Guardians who favor this agile and undeniably powerful class.
Over the years, Hunters have faced numerous nerfs, such as a drastic reduction in the damage output of the iconic Golden Gun and weakened abilities to recover after using Shadow Shot: Deadfall and Blade Barrage. These adjustments, coupled with the class’s inherent fragility, led to Hunters being sidelined in combat groups throughout the galaxy.
However, the Hunter has made a strong comeback, thanks to the prismatic subclass, exotic cloaks, and a new artifact that has shown even greater potential with the release of Act 2.
The Hunter class is characterized by its mobility and stealth, often serving as the rogue archetype in the game. Hunters excel in both close-quarters combat and long-range engagements, offering players a wide array of tools and abilities. Their agility allows for quick movements and evasion, making them difficult targets. This versatility makes the Hunter a popular choice for both PvE (Player versus Environment) and PvP (Player versus Player) activities.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
At the moment, the Prismatic Hunter is the most popular and effective subclass choice. Solar and Void Hunters also perform well, depending on the situation. However, the Arc Hunter is more reliant on seasonal activities and is currently only recommended if you haven’t unlocked the Prismatic subclass.
As of the latest updates, the Hunter class has experienced a resurgence in popularity, particularly with the introduction of the Prismatic subclass. This new subclass, along with exotic gear and artifacts, has revitalized the class, making it highly competitive and sought-after in both PvE and PvP. The flexibility and powerful abilities of Hunters have cemented their place in fireteams across the Destiny 2 universe.
Don’t hesitate to experiment with different builds and try new strategies. Here, we will only cover a small portion of the potential that Hunters have to offer.
Today, we’ll be exploring a build that can be utilized in two main ways: for efficiently clearing out mobs and for delivering significant damage.
In order to effectively deal with a lot of small and high enemies, you need Relativism with Spirit of Caliban and Spirit of the Lair perks, if you don’t have such an exotic cloak, you can replace it with Lair’s handshake.
We can choose any superpower that suits us, except for Golden Gun and Silkstrike, as they are less effective for our objectives compared to the other options available.

Fragments:
This combination of fragments, aspects, and abilities enables us to remain invisible indefinitely using Winer’s Shroud and Stylish Executioner. Gambler’s Dodge will continuously restore your charged melee attack, Combination Blow. To execute this strategy, use Gambler’s Dodge near an enemy, then hit them with a melee attack. The enemy’s defeat will activate invisibility and cause an explosion among nearby foes due to the effect of Relativism.
Also, switch the melee attack to Withering Blade. Then, choose either Still Hunt or Whisper of the Worm to deal significant damage, thanks to the artifact mods introduced in Act 2. Your goal is to activate Golden Gun as quickly as possible, shoot, then throw a Withering Blade at the boss to gain the Radiant buff, and then use a sniper rifle to shoot the boss. This strategy will maximize your damage output and help you top the DPS charts.
The Hunter class in Destiny 2 offers a unique and engaging experience for players who enjoy fast-paced, skillful gameplay. Despite facing challenges over the years, Hunters have consistently been a popular choice thanks to their dynamic abilities and adaptability.
