The Warlock in Destiny 2 is an essential member of any combat group, wielding the destructive power of light and darkness and possessing great potential for supporting their teammates. On the battlefield, whether in a raid or a Grandmaster Nightfall, a Warlock is always valuable, and having one or two Warlocks on the team significantly increases the chances of success.
Warlocks are the scholars of the Destiny 2 universe, drawing on deep wells of knowledge to manipulate the fundamental forces of the universe-light and dark. They are often seen as the archetype, wielding a mix of powerful spells and abilities to both attack and support. Warlocks excel in both PvE and PvP scenarios, thanks to their versatile skill set.
Warlocks have several subclasses, each offering unique abilities and superpowers that define their playstyle:

Roles::
Warlocks remain a popular choice among players, especially in high-level content where their support and damage-dealing abilities are invaluable. The recent expansions have only increased their versatility, making them a staple in most fireteams. The ability to customize subclasses with aspects and fragments has further expanded their role in the game, allowing for more specialized builds that cater to specific needs.
The Prismatic and Solar subclasses are currently the most popular choices. The Prismatic subclass excels as a frontline option, offering great support, survivability, and efficient mob clearing. Meanwhile, the Solar subclass remains a top pick mainly for the “Well of Radiance” ability.
For the Prismatic Warlock build, we’ll focus on utilizing two turrets: one electric and the other of your choice, either Stasis or Solar.
For this build, the exotic gauntlets Getaway Artist are essential. They allow us to summon two turrets simultaneously, providing invaluable support in tough situations.

To use this build, hold down the grenade button. If you’re utilizing Bleak Watcher, this will activate two turrets: one Arc and one Stasis. The Stasis turret will slow and suppress enemies, while the Arc turret deals damage and activates Devour through kills, thanks to the Feed the Void aspect. This setup allows for continuous healing yourself and effective crowd control. Additionally, the “Arc Soul” (Arc turret) will replenish itself with each kill, ensuring you maintain consistent protection.
If you’re opting for the “Hellion” approach, pair it with Phoenix Dive. The gameplay strategy shifts the grenade button slightly, then jumps and activates your class ability to initiate Phoenix Dive, which attaches a Solar Mortar to you. This Solar turret is extremely powerful for its size.
Regrettably, “Well of Radiance” now requires pairing with another Warlock using “Song of Flame” to retain its full effectiveness. Without this setup, the performance of “Well of Radiance” has significantly diminished since the release of the “The Final Shape” expansion.
