Let’s first figure out what this weapon is and whether you need it. The answer to the previous question is 100% yes! Euphony is currently one of the most powerful weapons using Special Ammo (green) in the first slot. Still, it’s important to remember that only warlocks, due to the specifics of their Strand subclass, can quickly and effectively “boost” the damage of Euphony. This is important to keep in mind when you are assigning roles in any raid.
You can obtain the Euphony Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle by defeating the Witness in the Salvation’s Edge Raid, with a drop chance of around 5%. The developers have yet to provide exact figures, but today, we’ll discuss Euphony and how to get it.
Here’s what makes Euphony so powerful:
Without going into too much detail, the more “Threadlings” that damage the boss, the higher your euphony damage will grow. That’s why we need a warlock.
Playing as a warlock, you will need the Mindspun Invocation Aspect, Threadling Grenade, Weaver’s Call Aspect, and, of course, the Needlestorm Super Ability.
Although it may seem complicated, the process takes just a few seconds.
Your steps:
– A few seconds before the damage phase, hold the grenade button to get five Threadlings. Threadlings Grenade and Mindspun Invocation Aspect will help with this.
– As soon as the damage phase begins, place a Rift.
– Use your super ability.
– Start shooting at the boss.
This way, you’ll quickly achieve Twenty-five stacks on the euphony, significantly increasing its damage. There are also a couple of exotic armor items, but that’s for another guide.
In the “Salvation’s Edge” raid, there are triumphs that, once completed, can increase your chances of getting Euphony. These triumphs are all completed within the raid itself, so you need a well-coordinated team that understands what needs to be done. To quickly boost your chances, you and your team should identify and start with the easiest triumphs for you. Most of these will require completing the raid, but this shouldn’t discourage you.
You won’t be able to farm Euphony as the Salvation’s Edge raid is not in the weekly rotation. This will happen when a new raid is released or if the developers change the system. Currently, there is no information about upcoming raids. In the worst-case scenario, we might have to wait a whole year for a potential new expansion. Everything is quite uncertain at the moment. Until then, you will only have one attempt per character to obtain this Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle.
As mentioned above, after completing the triumphs, which should be a priority if you are serious about obtaining Euphony, you need to kill the Witness with all three of your characters each week. You don’t need to complete the entire raid for this; it’s enough if at least one person has a save at the Witness stage.
Euphony is suitable for dealing damage to bosses in raids and Vanguard strikes. However, not all bosses are ideal targets for Euphony. For example, the Witness is a perfect candidate for a quick kill with enough warlocks and proper preparation; ideally, he can be killed in a single phase. On the other hand, the second boss in the Last Wish raid is not suitable for Euphony because his damage phases are too short, and there are more effective ways to deal damage.
There is no need to list all the bosses; understanding the general concept is sufficient.
For Euphony to work effectively against bosses, two conditions must be met:
In conclusion, obtaining Euphony is similar to acquiring most raid exotics before it: you need a sufficient light level and a bit of patience, and you will eventually get it! Regarding Euphony itself, it’s an exciting weapon with excellent damage potential, but only in the hands of warlocks. Other classes will need more time to reach their peak damage, and they might be better off using different weapons. Remember to kill the Witness three times on each character every week. That’s all!
