The midseason updates have arrived. LepreStore’s D4 team has already tested some changes for most classes, and we’ve decided to create this updated tier list. This will help you make the right choice in your long journey against the forces of Hell in Diablo 4 Season 4 – Loot Reborn.
The tier list includes summarized data on damage output and survivability in the three key aspects of the game: Bossing, Speedfarming, and Endgame Pit push.
Considerations include:
Let’s get started!
It’s important to grasp how our Diablo 4 rankings work, as we follow a traditional system. Each build is carefully assessed and placed into tier brackets according to its performance.
S+ Tier:
These builds are currently considered overpowered due to bugs or broken mechanics. It is advisable to use them cautiously as they may be subject to adjustments shortly.
S-Tier:
These builds are top-notch picks in the current meta, boasting powerful abilities and excelling across all content types. They outshine other options and dominate the meta at present.
A-Tier:
A step below the S-Tier, A-Tier builds are still quite notable. They excel in performance and provide flexibility, making them strong options for various types of content. Although they may not be as dominant as S-Tier classes, they are still competitive and sought after.
B-Tier:
Builds in the B-Tier are considered to be moderate options. While they don’t offer exceptional performance, they are still viable choices for casual play or specific endgame scenarios. Despite their limitations and weaknesses, they remain viable options for some players.
C-Tier:
This tier includes options that are below average, characterized by noticeable weaknesses or limitations compared to higher tiers. These options may struggle to complete endgame content and are less competitive, requiring more effort for similar results. We highly advise considering builds above C-tier for better performance. We will put some recently popular build names in the C-tier so you will know what to avoid this time. Enjoy the game without dealing with underperforming mechanics.

This Tier List evaluates how well specific builds perform in challenging encounters like Tormented Bosses such as Duriel, Andariel, and others. The primary factor considered is the speed at which the build can defeat these bosses, but we also take into account how easy the build is to play overall.
Tier Rank | Build |
---|---|
S+ | Minion Golem Necro |
S | Shadow Minions Necro One Shot Rogue Rapid Fire Rogue Andariel Puncture Flurry Rogue |
A | Flay Barb Bash Barb Thorns Barb Firebolt Sorc Bone Spirit Nuke Necro Heartseeker Rogu Werewolf Tornado Druid Wind Shear Druid |
B | Bleed Whirlwind Barb Double Swing Barb Frozen Orb Sorc Ball Lightning Sorc Blizzard Sorc Hurricane Druid Boulder Druid |
C | HotA Barb Upheaval Barb Penshot Rogue Bone Spear Necro Barrage Rogue Meteor Sorc Incinerate Sorc Stormclaw Druid Infinimist Necro Twisting Blades Rogue Pulverize Druid |
It’s worth noting that many popular builds from previous seasons have now dropped to C-tier and need to perform better. While there are more examples, we believe expanding the lower tier is unnecessary.
If you want to focus on defeating bosses in the game, the most effective choice is the Minion Golem Necromancer build, followed by some Rogue and Barbarian builds. The Golem Necromancer build is straightforward to use and put together, making it an exceptional choice. Just a heads up, Holy Bolt mechanics have been updated and there are no longer trillion hits present. However, you can still easily defeat any in-game boss with just 1-2 golem active skill taps.
When comparing the current meta builds for easy, outdoor, and open-world content, this Speedfarming Tier List focuses on activities such as Tree of Whispers, Helltide, Zone Events, low-level Pit fastruns, and tasks that do not frequently involve defeating large Boss monsters. The criteria for ranking builds are based on mobility and AoE damage, which are key factors in determining whether a build is considered high-tier. The list includes only S-tier and A-tier recommendations, as the speedfarm category does not require a lot of rank differentiation. This list aims to provide clear choices for what’s good and the best for speedfarming.

As you can see, you will not find any minion-oriented necromancers because pets are dumb. Instead, there are plenty of sorcerer and barbarian builds that can quickly move through the map. Here at Leprestore, we can advise you to take a look at any variation (such as bleed or dust devils) of the Whirlwind Barbarian and the Ball Lightning Sorcerer. Easy to play and easy to create. You will never regret choosing these builds for grinding and speed farming.
Behold, the most intriguing section of our guide: The Endgame. This Tier List evaluates the effectiveness of builds in tackling top-tier challenges and The Pit once players have optimized their characters with well-rolled items, aspects, uniques, tempering, and masterworking. Builds ranked higher are anticipated to excel in clearing higher Tiers and obtaining materials more quickly compared to lower-ranked ones.
Tier Rank | Spec |
---|---|
S+ (Pit 150+) | Firebolt Sorc Thorns Barb |
S (Pit 140+) | Bash Barb Flay Barb Heartseeker Rogue Andariel Puncture Flurry Rogue Rapid Fire Rogue |
A (Pit 130+) | Penetrating Shot Rogue Shadow Minions Necro Golem Minion Necr Barrage Rogue Wind Shear Druid Whirlwind Bleed Barb Werewolf Tornado Druid Bone Spirit Necro |
B (Below 130 lvl) | Dust Devil Barb Leap Hurricane Druid Blizzard Sorc HotA Barb Frozen Orb Sorc Ball Lightning Sorc |
C | Pulverize Druid Meteor Sorc Ice Shards Sorc … and many more |
Firebolt sorcerer is a formidable contender, excelling in AoE damage and survivability, but facing challenges against single-target bosses. Nevertheless, it emerges victorious with the ability to clear tier 152 solo.
Bash Barb and Flay Barb have pretty much the same issues and slightly less survivability and damage compared to Sorcerer (level 147). However, the recent level 151 pit solo run was awesome, so you can definitely go with THORNS Barb with unique playstyle. All other builds are significantly behind in push potential. Still, all S-tier builds are capable of completing Pits level 145 and above, and A-tier builds can reach around 140 in the best-case scenarios. At least for now!
Let’s summarize our recommendations for builds to play this season after the rebalance patch, considering performance, time, and difficulty.
Current State of Tier List
Remember, if you encounter any issues with your builds, we’re always here to help. You can visit our Meta Builds Help section to recruit a team of skilled players and ensure that your character will dominate the game!
If you are aiming for the endgame and a Pit push, the choice is obvious – go for a Firebolt Sorc. Be ready for endless hours of grinding and pray for the best masterwork procs in order to get constant fire shield. This build is not recommended if you are new player. Only perfection will bring you close to tier 150 in the Pit.
If you are a casual player, you will enjoy the game using the Ball Lightning Sorc build. It is simple, fast, and fun. Master this build to achieve good overall performance.
Bash Barb, and Flay Barb are the builds you should focus on to excel. It takes a lot of time to master all the necessary passives and stats, but once you do, you’ll be able to easily overcome any challenge and will be nearly invincible.
The recent update shows us the new possibility of Thorns Barb. Unique playstyle and level 151 pit done!
Whirlwind Barb is the best allrounder build. It is fast, reliable, simple to use, and create. “Spin to win” is always a good choice to have fun.
Necromancers did not receive any nerfs this time, but the rework of Holy Bolt elixir will affect their ability to push the Pit. We expect them be able to push at least 10 levels lower than current achievement.
You can select a minion-oriented build and feel comfortable in all aspects of the game. There are two options: Shadow Minions Necro, which is mage-oriented with sustained damage, and Golem Minion Necro, which features a one-shot golem bazooka. Choose the one you like more.
Rogues have the potential to achieve an S+ tier build after the recent patch. We highly recommend checking out the Andariel Puncture Build to dominate high-end Pit.
Check out the Heartseeker Rogue and Rapid Fire Rogue builds if you enjoy playing in a ranged style. All rogue builds are enjoyable to play and with some investment of time in managing your gear and abilities, you can excel at a competitive level across the board.
It seems like Druids are not performing as well as they used to in previous seasons. None of the Druid builds are able to compete with other classes at the moment. Although Druids received some buffs, it remains to be seen if they will become more competitive.
However, we can suggest at least one build for you to try – the Werewolf Tornado Druid. This build has been the most enjoyable one we’ve seen in season 4, while all other builds have been so-so, with no significant performance or fun factor. With the Werewolf Tornado Druid build, you are guaranteed to have at least some fun.
Wind Shear is just plain uninteresting. While it can create higher peaks, the immense boredom can easily put you to sleep.
