As the release of Patch 10.2 for World of Warcraft is here, players are eagerly anticipating its impact on the meta. Let’s delve into an analysis of the prospective power levels for DPS, Healers, and Tanks in Mythic+ dungeons in Dragonflight Patch 10.2.
To aid you in understanding the landscape, we’ve compiled a comprehensive Mythic+ Class Tier List based on data from the Patch 10.2 PTR. Our rankings take into account each class’s performance in the new Mythic+ dungeons, utilizing log data and personal tests on live servers.
This tier list is formulated on the prowess of each DPS specialization during our m+ testing. Rankings are determined by evaluating the toolkit and raw damage output that each class brings to Mythic+ groups. To grasp the rankings fully, it’s crucial to comprehend the distinctions in damage profiles and the relevance of each class’s toolkit synchronization with other party members. Furthermore, different dungeons necessitate distinct damage patterns; some favor more single-target damage, while others demand a more focused AoE damage approach. All these factors can influence a class’s standing:
It’s important to note that what you’re about to read is an initial iteration of the 10.2 Season 3 tier list and is subject to change over time. No statements made here are guarantees or promises. Note From Creator: I made D-Tier empty because any class and spec can do m+20 – m+23 within the timer.
Note From Creator: In my opinion, warriors could be even worse than B-Tier. The only thing I hate about warriors is magic damage reduction. Each M+20 or higher was full of magic one-shots our prot warrior. This is a complete nightmare… Spell block, reflect, ignore pain, low HP pool, and other minor defensives are not that effective in terms of spell damage mitigation. If you do big pulls or face the boss hard cast mechanics without extra help from a healer or big def CD you`re probably dead in 2-3 seconds. All in all, tanks are doing fine this season so far.
Note From Creator: It is important to mention that I`m not a healer so I can share my experience from logs as well as the Blood DK tank and various DPS spec perspectives. So, the Disc Priest and MW are the best healers in the group so far. If you are looking for comfortable runs you want to find one of those specs. Exceptional performance and total joy each run. The Holy Paladin runs were “OK” -ish but they can’t offer more than that. Druids and Shamans were rare guests and those runs were more like unpleasant experiences. Evoker… hmmm. It was just bad. I can’t tell you why, but m+ keys above 20 were a complete nightmare whenever I got Preservation Evoker in my group. I hope that was just my bad luck… Last but not least, Holy Priest. I`ve done over a hundred runs in M+ for the past 3 weeks and pretty close to the desired 3K rating. Honestly, I`ve never seen any Holy Priest so far.
