In 10.2.7, the Mythic plus pool of dungeons includes the 8 most recent instances presented by Blizzard in Dragonflight, making the Season 4 best class Mythic plus tier list a must for every dungeon crawler. Luckily, here, at Leprestore, we have prepared an extensive tier list with explanations for every role so that you can choose which spec you want to play in Season 4. Embrace the power your class offers, and prepare yourself for the challenges Mythic dungeons can pose!
Back in the day, Mythic Plus mode was an enhanced version of Challenging mode from Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor expansions. Its unique features include limited time, gradual scaling of different variables like the health of mobs with the rise of the key level, and, of course, affixes that affect each run severely. Keeping this in mind, here are a few factors we find most crucial while defining the best class for Mythic Plus in the 10.2.7 update.
So, when you are trying to define the best M+ DPS for Season 4 of Dragonflight, it is important to keep in mind that all the factors we mentioned are tightly connected to the two affixes, Tyrannical and Fortified. For healers and tanks, it is also the case, but they are highly dependent on secondary affixes too. Tyrannical and Fortified define whether you have empowered bosses or packs of mobs respectively, and therefore specs with adaptability and a variety of builds can feel better in M+ overall.
Your performance depends on the affixes. Tyrannical this week? The bird’s gonna hurt!
First of all, Mythic Plus mode has a rather effective way of counting your progress through the M+ points you get for completing dungeons. Therefore, when we define the best class for M+ in Season 4, the primary factor is the M+ rating. Raw damage may be deceptive as each week is quite unique in how much damage specs can produce. There are affixes that target range players, while others require melee to slow down on damage from time to time.
However, we will still provide separate tier lists for the M+ overall and for Tyrannical and Fortified weeks. It is crucial as otherwise, you may think your spec is universally effective each week, but in fact, sometimes you may lack a lot of damage, and therefore your efficiency won’t be as good as you expect. Moreover, keep in mind that there are legendaries possessed by certain classes as well as items with unique abilities that also affect their position in the tier list.
Building a Mythic+ DPS tier list is not an easy task as although the M+ ranking is available to have a look at, you should understand why certain specs and classes perform better than others for particular weeks. That is why we will try to cover the crucial inputs after the tier list below in order for you to have a better understanding of why a particular spec appeared to be so high or so low.
Rank | Overall | Tyrannical | Fortified |
---|---|---|---|
S-Tier | Augmentation Evoker Fire Mage Shadow Priest | Augmentation Evoker Fire Mage Shadow Priest Retribution Paladin | Augmentation Evoker Fire Mage Shadow Priest Frost Mage Balance Druid |
A-Tier | Retribution Paladin Balance Druid Destruction Warlock Arms Warrior Frost Mage Elemental Shaman Beast Mastery Hunter Unholy Death Knight Demonology Warlock Outlaw Rogue | Destruction Warlock Balance Druid Arms Warrior Elemental Shaman Outlaw Rogue Beast Mastery Hunter Frost Mage Demonology Warlock | Destruction Warlock Retribution Paladin Elemental Shaman Unholy Death Knight Arms Warrior |
B-Tier | Demonology Warlock Frost Death Knight Devastation Evoker Arcane Mage Marksmanship Hunter Havoc Demon Hunter Windwalker Monk Assassination Rogue Subtlety Rogue Fury Warrior Feral Druid Enhancement Shaman | Arcane Mage Unholy Death Knight Frost Death Knight Enhancement Shaman Marksmanship Hunter Havoc Demon Hunter Windwalker Monk Assassination Rogue Subtlety Rogue Fury Warrior Feral Druid Devastation Evoker | Windwalker Monk Havoc Demon Hunter Assassination Rogue Outlaw Rogue Fury Warrior Feral Druid Frost Death Knight Demonology Warlock Beast Mastery Hunter Marksmanship Hunter Arcane Mage Devastation Evoker |
C-Tier | Survival Hunter Affliction Warlock | Affliction Warlock Survival Hunter | Affliction Warlock Enhancement Shaman Survival Hunter Subtlety Rogue |
First of all, the S tier should not be a surprise to you. Thanks to the upgrade to their class legendary, especially Augmentation Evokers appear to be a must-have in high and even average keys. Fire Mages benefit a lot in M+ thanks to the two rings from the Vault of the Incarnates that proc from Fire damage, and Shadow Priests can combine these rings with the powerful trinket from Neltharion which enhances their DOTs tremendously.
With Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy, Augmentation Evokers are dominating M+ rankings.
Most classes and specs, however, fall into the A and B tiers in our Mythic+ DPS tier list, and it happens mostly because of the Bullion system and the effective combination of gear from three raids. They allow classes to be more versatile and, for example, adjust their build and gear with the good replacement they have bought for bullion.
A few specs, though, feel much worse than others, and first of all, it matters when we speak about Survival Hunters and Affliction Warlocks. Both have not so many defensive options and also have less benefit from the rings, trinkets, and weapons available for Bullions. Where their fellow hunters (MM and BM) can compensate for issues with defensives by the high DPS thanks to Neltharax, Survival has to use relatively mediocre weapons that cannot unleash their potential fully.
Healing in M+ becomes more and more depressing and frustrating with each season. But usually, Blizzard tries to balance this with giving healers many tools to show themselves, and that is why the best M+ healer in Season 4 of Dragonflight can be of any spec with just a little leading from one particular candidate. Have a look at our tier list below.
Rank | Overall | Tyrannical | Fortified |
---|---|---|---|
S-Tier | Restoration Druid | Restoration Druid | Restoration Druid |
A-Tier | Preservation Evoker Holy Priest Discipline Priest Mistweaver Monk | Restoration Shaman Mistweaver Monk Preservation Evoker Holy Priest | Mistweaver Monk Holy Priest Preservation Evoker Discipline Priest |
B-Tier | Restoration Shaman Holy Paladin | Discipline Priest | Holy Paladin |
C-Tier | – | Holy Paladin | Restoration Shaman |
The M+ ranking among healers is headed by Restoration Druids because it is the most versatile healer that can cover you even in the high keys. Clutch healing, single target healing, burst healing… Everything is possible for this spec, and that is why it tops our Mythic+ healer tier list. At the same time, most other specs do completely fine in both weeks, and that is why they are put into tiers A and B.
Restoration Druids can out-heal any damage in Mythic+. Don’t mess with them!
Just a little bit behind appears to be Holy Paladin during Tyrannical week and Restor Sham during the Fortified one. Basically, it happens because many affixes require players to scatter away from each other which is not good for both specs, and their healing options become rather limited. But, they are nevertheless, show a decent healing even in high keys.
In our Mythic+ tank tier list, we are not separating them in accordance with weekly affixes because the situation is roughly the same for most cases. How successful the tanks are depends on their self-sustainability, defensives, and opportunities to deal with affixes. One spec is a particularly big winner here! Have a look at the tier list below.
Rank | Spec |
---|---|
S-Tier | Vengeance Demon Hunter |
A-Tier | Blood Death Knight Protection Warrior Protection Paladin Guardian Druid |
B-Tier | Brewmaster Monk |
C-Tier | – |
We doubt that it is a surprise Vengeance DH tops the list, but we need to say why it happens. A variety of affixes this season demands rapid movement and kiting along with good aggro management. Demon Hunters deal with this task brilliantly, but they also have their unique Sigils that bring lots of damage and utility to dungeon crawling. Their Sigils were so powerful at the beginning of the season that Blizzard had to significantly nerf it!
One last thing to note here is that Brew Monk can feel slightly more challenging to play due to the primary mechanics of this tank spec. They still reach an impressive M+ rating and can be viable, but in high keys, and especially during Tyrannical week, their self-sustainability is questionable. It creates risks for the group as the healer has to start paying lots of attention to the tank, and that is why they may not be the best M+ tank in Season 4 of Dragonflight.
What is the best class in Dragonflight Season 4 for Mythic Plus mode?
The answer will be different depending on the role, but we think that Paladins can be a good choice. They are great at showing a nice DPS (as Retri Palas), and you can always switch to Prot Pala if you wanna tank.
What is the easiest class for M+ in 10.2.7?
If you want to pick a DPS role, then Beast Mastery Hunters is a must. They are easy to learn, can do great DPS in the mid keys without putting much effort into it, and overall feel great this season. However, for the higher keys, you might want to reconsider your choice.
What is the most popular class for Mythic Plus in Dragonflight Season 4?
Probably, it is not a surprise, but people mostly prefer to play Paladins in all three roles. Perhaps, it is because all Palas are in good tiers, quite easy to play, and can also benefit from the legendary two-handed axe which got an upgrade in Season 4.
What affix week is easier in 10.2.7 for M+ mode?
We would say, it is definitely any Fortified over Tyrannical at this point. In Season 4, all 8 Dragonflight dungeons are in the pool, and certain boss fights can feel like an incredible nightmare during Tyrannical week. It is also confirmed by the rating of people during such weeks (it is significantly lower than during Fortified ones).
