Vault of Glass Raid
The Vault of Glass raid is the first raid in Destiny, where players must enter the mysterious Vex structure on Venus and stop Atheon, the Time’s Conflux, from erasing them from existence. The raid has six main encounters, each with its own mechanics and challenges. The raid also rewards players with powerful weapons and armor, as well as a chance to get the exotic fusion rifle Vex Mythoclast.
VOG Encounters
Opening the Vault
The first encounter is Opening the Vault, where players must use the Operator, Scanner, and Suppressor augmentations to activate and defend three Sync Plates from the Vex. The Operator can shoot the panels to spawn the Relic, the Scanner can see which Sync Plates are under attack, and the Suppressor can stun the Wyverns and prevent them from wiping the team. Players must also deal with waves of enemies and Champions that spawn.
Confluxes
The second encounter is Confluxes, where players must use the augmentations and the Relic to defend the Confluxes from the Vex sacrifices. The Operator can shoot the boss to make it drop the Relic, the Scanner can see which Confluxes are active, and the Suppressor can stun the boss and reset the augmentations. Players must also deal with the boss’ attacks and the Fanatics that spawn.
Oracles
The third encounter is Oracles, where players must use the augmentations and the Relic to destroy the Oracles and cleanse the Mark of Negation. The Operator can shoot the boss to make it drop the Relic, the Scanner can see which Oracles are active, and the Suppressor can stun the boss and reset the augmentations. Players must also deal with the boss’ attacks and the Templar’s Ritual of Negation.
Templar
The fourth encounter is Templar, where players must use the augmentations and the Relic to damage the boss and break its shield. The Operator can shoot the boss to make it drop the Relic, the Scanner can see which Oracles are active, and the Suppressor can stun the boss and reset the augmentations. Players must also deal with the boss’ attacks and the Detain shields.
Gorgon’s Labyrinth
The fifth encounter is Gorgon’s Labyrinth, where players must navigate a maze of Gorgons and avoid being detected. Players must also use the augmentations and the Relic to open the exit door. The Operator can shoot the panels to spawn the Relic, the Scanner can see which Gorgons are nearby, and the Suppressor can stun the Gorgons and prevent them from wiping the team. Players must also deal with the hidden chests and the jumping puzzle.
Gatekeepers
The sixth encounter is Gatekeepers, where players must use the augmentations and the Relic to enter the portals and destroy the Gatekeepers. The Operator can shoot the panels to open the portals, the Scanner can see which portal needs to be entered, and the Suppressor can stun the Gatekeepers and reset the augmentations. Players must also deal with the Confluxes and the Praetorians that spawn.
Atheon, Time’s Conflux
The final encounter is Atheon, Time’s Conflux, where players must use the augmentations and the Relic to damage the boss and escape the timestream. The Operator can shoot the boss to make it drop the Relic, the Scanner can see which Oracles are active, and the Suppressor can stun the boss and reset the augmentations. Players must also deal with the boss’ attacks and the Supplicants that spawn.
VOG Exotic
The exotic weapon that can be obtained from the Vault of Glass raid is Vex Mythoclast, a fusion rifle that fires a single bolt of solar energy. The weapon can be acquired by defeating Atheon, the final boss of the raid. The weapon also has a unique perk that increases the damage and stability of the weapon after each kill. This weapon is very effective for dealing with solar shields and enemies at medium range.
