The Diablo 4 Season 15 Paladin meta is much clearer now than it was at launch. Shield of Retribution currently has the strongest cross-source case for high-end Paladin progression and dedicated Pit or Tower pushing, while Shield Charge remains the best mobility-focused alternative and Divine Lance offers one of the class’s strongest ranged routes.

Hammerdin is still highly relevant, especially for leveling and general endgame, but its exact tier depends heavily on the specific variant. Season 15 also gave Judgement builds a much better scaling foundation, so Spear of the Heavens and other Judicator setups deserve more attention than they received at launch.

Live Season 15 update: this guide now uses post-launch Patch 3.2.1 performance rather than the September 16 launch snapshot. Paladin rankings vary significantly by activity and exact build version, so specialist push results are separated from general endgame and leveling recommendations.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Paladin Builds Tier List

Paladin currently has one especially strong high-end shield build, followed by several alternatives with clearer specialist identities. That makes one universal Paladin tier misleading: Shield of Retribution performs much better in pushing than Hammerdin, while Shield Charge gains value from mobility and Divine Lance offers a different ranged damage profile.

Paladin Build Current Tier Best For Live Meta Position
Shield of Retribution S–A+ Overall / Pit / Tower / Bossing The strongest current cross-source Paladin recommendation for high-end play. It is S tier on D4Guides and the highest-ranked Paladin in Mobalytics’ dedicated pushing list.
Divine Lance A+ Ranged Endgame / General Progression One of the strongest current Paladin alternatives after direct Patch 3.2.1 buffs to the base skill and all major damage variants.
Shield Charge A+ Mobility / Endgame / Progression Combines movement, defense, and damage in the same skill. Current guides support both pushing and speed-oriented variants.
Hammerdin S Specialist / B–A Broad AoE / Leveling / General Endgame Some finished Hammerdin variants reach S tier, while broader Paladin rankings place the standard version lower. Exact setup matters.
Judgement / Spear of the Heavens A–B Specialist Bossing / Judicator Season 15 specifically improved Judgement scaling, boss damage, and consume/reapply interactions.
Auradin A–B Speed / Aura Play A strong general endgame alternative built around Holy Light Aura, Fanaticism, and Paladin’s defensive aura package.
Zeal B–A Specialist Fast Melee Season 15 improved Fervor scaling and Zeal’s additional strikes, while current creator variants show strong speed and Pit potential.
Fist of the Heavens B–A Specialist Speed / Ranged Holy A viable ranged Holy alternative with corrected main-impact behavior and strong automatic-cast interactions in finished setups.

The most important update is that Shield of Retribution is no longer just a conservative launch-day bossing recommendation. Current high-end data gives it the clearest Paladin pushing case, while Divine Lance and Shield Charge remain excellent alternatives for players who value range or movement more.

What Is the Best Paladin Build in Diablo 4 Season 15?

Shield of Retribution currently has the strongest overall high-end case for Paladin.

The build uses Blessed Shield with the Shield of Retribution Variant, turning the projectile into a Juggernaut Skill that travels forward, pulses Thorns damage around itself, and then bursts for direct damage.

Patch 3.2.1 added another important scaling vector: the percentage of Thorns dealt by Shield of Retribution now increases with Blessed Shield Skill Ranks.

This matters because Skill Ranks now improve more than the normal Blessed Shield coefficient. They also strengthen the Thorns portion that defines the actual Retribution build.

Shield Charge and Divine Lance remain extremely competitive, but their main advantages are different. Shield Charge is more mobile, while Divine Lance provides a cleaner ranged playstyle.

Shield of Retribution vs Shield Charge vs Divine Lance

These three builds represent different Paladin priorities rather than a simple first-, second-, and third-place ladder.

Shield of Retribution Shield Charge Divine Lance
Best high-end push profile Best mobility-focused route Best ranged alternative
Strong bossing and sustained high-health target damage. Movement and damage happen in the same skill. Attacks safely from range and gained large Season 15 damage buffs.
Scales heavily through Thorns, Skill Ranks, shield interactions, and positioning. Can be built around Judgement, Retribution, or dedicated Core Skill scaling. Divine Javelin provides a much more explosive ranged hit pattern.
Best if Pit and Tower pushing are major goals. Best if speed and map traversal matter more. Best if you prefer positioning and ranged damage over shield-based melee-range mechanics.

Different activity profiles: Shield of Retribution currently has the strongest pushing case, but a mobile Shield Charge character can feel better in repeated farming, while Divine Lance offers a much cleaner ranged experience.

Shield of Retribution Paladin

Shield of Retribution is the defining Paladin build of the current Season 15 high-end meta.

Its main damage engine is unusual because the thrown shield itself becomes a carrier for Thorns damage. Instead of waiting for enemies to attack the Paladin and trigger traditional Thorns, the build actively sends Thorns damage into enemy groups.

Shield of Retribution Turns Thorns Into Active Damage

Normally, Thorns is associated with passive retaliation. Shield of Retribution changes that expectation.

Blessed Shield becomes a Juggernaut Skill, travels straight forward, pulses a percentage of the Paladin’s Thorns around the projectile for several seconds, and then deals its final burst.

Patch 3.2.1 makes the percentage of Thorns dealt scale with Skill Ranks, giving the build a much more direct progression path through Blessed Shield investment.

This is the first major unique entity of the current Paladin page: Thorns is no longer purely reactive damage.

The 3 Shields → Clash Loop

The current optimized Shield of Retribution setup also has a distinct short damage cycle.

High-end versions use Clash with Punishment alongside repeated Blessed Shield casts to maintain the Thorns damage buff and maximize the value of the supporting shield package.

The basic rhythm is:

  • prepare the defensive and aura buffs;
  • group enemies when needed;
  • cast several Blessed Shields into the target area;
  • use Clash to refresh or activate the Punishment Thorns window;
  • repeat while maintaining the build’s defensive buffs.

Current Mobalytics guidance specifically uses a three Blessed Shields into one Clash rhythm in the optimized rotation.

That mechanic explains why Shield of Retribution is more involved than simply stacking as much Thorns as possible and repeatedly pressing Blessed Shield.

Ward of the White Dove and Positioning

The finished build also rewards putting several shield projectiles through the same valuable target window.

This is why positioning becomes more important than it first appears. Shield of Retribution has only medium-sized area coverage compared with some faster farming builds, so the player gains much more from grouping enemies and overlapping the shield damage correctly.

That tradeoff is one reason Shield of Retribution looks better in pushing and bossing than in pure map-clear comparisons.

Why Shield of Retribution ranks highly: it combines active Thorns scaling, high defenses, strong single-target damage, and a repeatable shield/Clash damage loop. Its main weakness is that positioning and AoE coverage are less effortless than the fastest farming builds.

Judgement Is One of Paladin’s Most Important Season 15 Systems

Season 15 changed Judgement enough that old Paladin guides can give the wrong impression of how important the mechanic is.

Judgement damage now scales with the Rank of the Skill that applied it.

That means a higher-ranked skill does not only hit harder by itself. If it applies Judgement, it can also increase the damage of the Judgement effect that follows.

Judicator Oath Doubles Single-Target Judgement Damage

Judicator Oath gained an explicit bossing effect in Patch 3.2.1:

If Judgement hits only one enemy, it deals 100% increased damage.

This creates an important distinction between pack clearing and bossing. Judgement can behave like a normal area system against groups but gains a separate multiplier when only one target is available.

Aspect of Watkin’s Law Creates a Consume → Reapply Loop

Aspect of Watkin’s Law is another unique Season 15 Paladin mechanic.

While using Judicator Oath, Judicator Skills deal increased damage to enemies affected by Judgement, then consume and reapply Judgement.

This can happen once every three seconds per enemy.

That means optimized Judgement gameplay is not only about keeping the mark active. The build gains value from deliberately triggering the consume-and-reapply cycle.

This is particularly important for Spear of the Heavens and other Judicator-focused builds.

Shield Charge Paladin

Shield Charge remains the cleanest Paladin choice if mobility matters.

The skill moves the Paladin forward while providing defensive value and dealing damage. That already gives it a practical advantage in content where a large part of the clear time comes from travelling between packs.

One Skill Can Fill Several Different Roles

Shield Charge is unusually flexible because its variants can push the skill toward different Paladin systems.

  • Relentless Charge converts it into a Core Skill with a Faith cost.
  • Virtuous Charge converts it into a Judicator Skill that consumes Judgement and powers the ending Holy Nova.
  • another upgrade allows Shield Charge hits to count as Blocks.
  • Retribution support lets the skill participate in the class’s shield retaliation package.

This means “Shield Charge Paladin” can refer to more than a mobility button with incidental damage.

Virtuous Charge and Judgement Consumption

The Virtuous Charge version is especially interesting for Season 15 because it connects directly to the Judgement changes.

Judgement is consumed on impact, and each consumed Judgement increases the damage of the Holy Nova released when Shield Charge ends.

This creates a very different damage rhythm from Shield of Retribution. Instead of repeatedly throwing shields into one area, the Paladin prepares Judgement and then physically moves through the target to convert those marks into damage.

Why Shield Charge Feels Better in Farming

Pure pushing rankings can undervalue mobility.

In repeated farming, a skill that moves the character and deals damage simultaneously saves time on every enemy group. Shield Charge therefore gains practical value in Helltides, War Plans, Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeons, and other content where the Paladin constantly changes position.

The tradeoff is that the best versions become much stronger once their key Uniques and final defensive package are complete.

Divine Lance Paladin

Divine Lance is the clearest ranged alternative in the current Paladin meta.

Patch 3.2.1 gave the skill one of the larger direct Paladin buffs:

  • base damage increased from 90% to 110%;
  • Tip of the Spear increased from 35% to 39%;
  • Zealous Joust increased from 74% to 91%;
  • Divine Javelin initial damage increased from 99% to 121%;
  • Divine Javelin burst increased from 495% to 605%.

Those are legitimate live buffs rather than PTR-only values.

Divine Javelin Changes the Skill’s Range Profile

Divine Javelin turns Divine Lance into a much more explosive ranged skill.

The first enemy receives the initial hit, while the follow-up burst creates a much larger damage event. The projectile can also interact with enemy positioning in a way that the normal stabbing version does not.

This makes Divine Lance especially attractive for players who want Paladin defenses and auras without staying directly inside every enemy pack.

Why Current Divine Lance Is More Reliable Than PTR Data

Blizzard also fixed two important Divine Lance issues:

  • the Stacking Damage upgrade was not applying to all Divine Lance damage;
  • the general Damage Bonus upgrade could grant more damage against Vulnerable enemies than intended.

The live skill therefore has stronger intended base numbers while removing one source of unintended extra damage.

That combination makes current Season 15 data much more useful than old PTR screenshots.

Hammerdin Paladin

Hammerdin is the most difficult Paladin build to assign one universal tier because current sources disagree sharply depending on the exact setup.

D4Guides currently lists S-tier endgame Hammerdin variants, while the verified Mobalytics Blessed Hammer build sits much lower in the broad Paladin class tier list and in dedicated pushing.

The useful conclusion is not that one source must be wrong. Different Hammerdin versions are doing different things.

Disciple’s Halo Changes Blessed Hammer’s Damage Pattern

The Disciple’s Halo Variant causes Blessed Hammer to follow and orbit around the Paladin instead of behaving like the traditional outward-moving projectile.

This makes Hammerdin much easier to use while moving through groups because the damage stays attached to the character.

The skill therefore gains practical value from movement in the same way Whirlwind or certain Ball Lightning setups do: the player does not need to choose between travelling and maintaining damage.

Herald’s Morningstar

Herald’s Morningstar is one of the main build-defining items in current Hammerdin setups.

The finished build scales Blessed Hammer far beyond the simple leveling version, which is one reason an endgame Hammerdin planner can rank much higher than a generic early Hammerdin.

Arbiter of Justice and Seraph’s Wings

Current mobile Hammerdin versions also use Arbiter of Justice and Seraph’s Wings to solve Paladin’s traditional movement weakness.

This creates a build that can level quickly, move efficiently, and maintain orbiting Hammer damage at the same time.

That explains why Hammerdin can be one of Paladin’s best leveling routes even when it is not the class’s highest dedicated pushing build.

Do not apply one Hammerdin tier to every planner. A mobile leveling Hammerdin, a finished endgame Disciple’s Halo setup, and a dedicated push version can have very different performance.

Judgement / Spear of the Heavens Paladin

Judgement-focused Paladin deserves a larger section in Season 15 because Blizzard explicitly identified the archetype as underperforming and then added several new scaling routes.

Current Spear of the Heavens builds use Judgement as a real damage engine rather than a small secondary mark.

Spear of the Heavens Can Become a Judgement Detonation Build

Current optimized versions apply Judgement through the Judicator kit and then use other skills to detonate or consume those marks.

One current setup uses Blessed Hammer: Shattering Blow to trigger damaging Judgement explosions after Spear of the Heavens has prepared the enemies.

Seal of the Second Trumpet then becomes an important item in the finished build.

This is mechanically distinct enough that it should not be grouped under “generic Paladin Holy build.”

Cathedral Song and Boss Judgement

Cathedral Song was also changed for Season 15.

Instead of relying on a random proc from Disciple Skills, consuming Judgement repeatedly can now call down Spear of the Heavens, while Judgement on bosses counts as multiple consumptions.

This creates another direct connection between the class’s Judgement loop and its Holy ranged damage.

Auradin Paladin

Auradin remains a strong alternative for players who want more passive area damage and less dependence on repeatedly lining up one primary attack.

Current versions build around Holy Light Aura while using Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura to add offensive and defensive support.

The result is a comfortable general-endgame setup that performs especially well when enemies remain near the Paladin.

Its lower dedicated push ranking reflects ceiling rather than basic viability. Auradin can be very effective for routine endgame without competing with Shield of Retribution for maximum high-Pit progression.

Zeal Paladin

Zeal received two important Season 15 improvements:

  • its additional strike damage increased from 20% to 35%;
  • Zealot Oath increased from 25% to 35% damage per Fervor stack.

That improves the core identity of the build rather than giving it one temporary seasonal exploit.

Current creator setups use Red Sermon to push Zeal into a much stronger endgame form and combine that with Fanaticism, Defiance, and high attack speed.

Zeal remains below the main Shield of Retribution / Divine Lance / Shield Charge group in broad rankings, but it is a much healthier Season 15 build than old Paladin tier lists suggest.

Fist of the Heavens Paladin

Fist of the Heavens remains an interesting ranged Holy specialist.

The Season 15 fix allows the main impact target to also be hit by one of the additional projectiles while preventing multiple additional projectiles from stacking incorrectly on the same target.

Current versions can also use Argent Veil to automate or dramatically smooth the Fist of the Heavens casting pattern.

The build is viable for speed-oriented endgame but does not currently have enough cross-source evidence to move into the main three Paladin recommendations.

Best Paladin Build for Each Season 15 Activity

Activity Best Paladin Choice Why
Overall High-End Shield of Retribution The strongest current cross-source combination of damage, defense, bossing, and dedicated push performance.
Pit / Tower Push Shield of Retribution The highest-ranked Paladin in the current Mobalytics pushing list and S-tier endgame on D4Guides.
Mobile Endgame Shield Charge Movement, damage, and defense happen in the same skill.
Ranged Endgame Divine Lance Direct Season 15 buffs and Divine Javelin give Paladin a strong ranged damage route.
Leveling Hammerdin / Divine Lance / Shield Charge All three have strong current progression support, with different advantages in mobility, range, and simplicity.
AoE / Orbiting Damage Hammerdin Disciple’s Halo keeps Blessed Hammers around the Paladin while moving through packs.
Judgement Specialist Spear of the Heavens Season 15 added Skill Rank scaling, single-target Judgement bonuses, and stronger consume/reapply interactions.
Aura Gameplay Auradin Holy Light Aura and Paladin’s support auras provide a comfortable broad-use setup.
Fast Melee Zeal Higher additional-strike damage and stronger Fervor scaling significantly improve the archetype.

Best Paladin Leveling Build in Season 15

Paladin has several legitimate leveling routes rather than one mandatory answer.

Hammerdin is especially comfortable because orbiting hammers can continue dealing damage while the character moves. Current Mobalytics leveling versions also use Arbiter of Justice for much stronger movement.

Divine Lance is another excellent choice and is currently rated S tier for leveling by Icy Veins. Its advantage is range and a straightforward transition into a stronger endgame Lance setup.

Shield Charge is ideal if movement is the priority because the primary skill itself carries the Paladin through packs.

Simple progression route: level with Hammerdin, Divine Lance, or Shield Charge → establish Torment gear and Oath support → move into Shield of Retribution for dedicated high-end pushing or continue improving the archetype you already enjoy.

How Patch 3.2.1 Changed Paladin

Paladin received a broad Season 15 buff because Blizzard considered the class behind the rest of the field in late-game content.

Season 15 Change Why It Matters
Strength scalar: 1.25 → 1.625 Raises damage gained from Paladin’s primary stat across every archetype.
Judgement Damage now scales with the Rank of the Skill that applied Judgement.
Divine Lance: 90% → 110% Raises the baseline of one of Paladin’s strongest ranged Core Skill routes.
Divine Javelin burst: 495% → 605% Substantially improves the ranged burst version.
Zeal additional strike: 20% → 35% Strengthens fast melee Paladin builds.
Shield of Retribution The percentage of Thorns dealt now scales with Blessed Shield Skill Ranks.
Shield Bash: Lay Siege Damage increased from 246% to 349%.
Shield Bash: Smite Initial damage increased to 451%, with much stronger secondary damage.
Judicator Oath Judgement deals 100% increased damage when it hits only one enemy.
Disciple Oath Damage increased from 80% to 100%.
Juggernaut’s Oath Damage increased from 80% to 100%.
Zealot Oath Damage per Fervor stack increased from 25% to 35%.

Why Paladin Tier Lists Disagree So Much

Paladin currently has one of the widest gaps between major Season 15 ranking methodologies.

D4Guides currently has Shield of Retribution and some Hammerdin variants in S tier. Mobalytics’ broad Paladin tier list instead puts Divine Lance and Shield Charge in A, while Shield of Retribution and Hammerdin sit lower there.

The dedicated Mobalytics pushing list changes the picture again: Shield of Retribution is A tier and the highest Paladin, while Divine Lance and Shield Charge are B and Hammerdin sits lower.

These results are not automatically contradictory.

The sites are weighting different things:

  • general endgame speed;
  • maximum push performance;
  • accessibility;
  • gear requirements;
  • one specific optimized planner;
  • or the archetype as a whole.

That is why this article keeps Shield of Retribution at S–A+ rather than pretending every ranking system agrees on one universal S tier.

Paladin Bug Fixes That Matter in Season 15

Several fixes materially change how older Paladin damage examples should be interpreted.

  • Divine Lance Stacking Damage now correctly applies to all Divine Lance damage.
  • Divine Lance Damage Bonus no longer grants more Vulnerable damage than intended.
  • Shield Bash Smite and Lay Siege now deal their intended damage.
  • Fist of the Heavens main-impact behavior was corrected.
  • Disciple Skill Damage now correctly applies to Wing Strikes.
  • Aspect of the Indomitable no longer provides unintended bonuses.
  • Iron Conviction no longer grants unintended Aura Variants.
  • Arbiter of Justice movement was corrected after granting more speed than intended.

This is why current Paladin rankings should use live Patch 3.2.1 setups instead of PTR clips or older damage demonstrations.

Paladin Oaths in Season 15

Oaths are one of the systems that make Paladin build names less interchangeable than they appear.

Juggernaut naturally supports Shield of Retribution and other shield-heavy setups. Judicator has become much more important after the Season 15 Judgement improvements. Zealot now gains significantly more damage per Fervor stack.

Changing the Oath can therefore change more than one passive multiplier. It can alter which variants, Judgement interactions, and damage loops make sense for the entire setup.

What About Patch 3.2.2?

Patch 3.2.2 is scheduled for September 29, 2026, so this article does not apply it early.

The currently published 3.2.2 notes contain no Paladin-specific balance changes.

That means there is currently no reason to preemptively move Shield of Retribution, Divine Lance, Shield Charge, or Hammerdin because of the next patch.

How Soul Splinters Affect Paladin Builds

Season 15 Soul Splinters add another optimization layer, but Paladin builds do not all want the same seasonal package.

Shield of Retribution cares heavily about Thorns, shield damage, and high-value boss interactions. Divine Lance is much more direct and range-focused. Hammerdin gains from attack frequency and sustained AoE. Judgement builds care about repeatedly applying, consuming, and detonating the mark.

That means one strong Soul Splinter setup should not be presented as universal for every Paladin build.

Should You Start Season 15 as Paladin?

Paladin is a strong seasonal choice if you value defenses, build variety, and the ability to move between ranged, melee, aura, shield, and Judgement playstyles.

The class also has several smooth progression routes. Hammerdin, Divine Lance, and Shield Charge can all level efficiently before the final high-end Shield of Retribution package exists.

The main tradeoff is that some Paladin setups can lose farming speed compared with Rogue, Spiritborn, or Whirlwind Barbarian when raw movement matters more than survivability.

Shield Charge and mobile Hammerdin variants reduce that weakness significantly.

Do You Need an S-Tier Paladin Build for Torment XII?

No. Divine Lance, Shield Charge, Hammerdin, Auradin, and other properly built Paladin setups can handle normal Season 15 endgame without being the highest-ranked Pit build.

The tier gap matters much more when comparing:

  • deep Pit or Tower progression;
  • optimized boss kills;
  • leaderboard performance;
  • or maximum farming efficiency.

A complete Divine Lance or Shield Charge character can be a much better practical choice than an unfinished Shield of Retribution setup that still lacks its key gear and scaling pieces.

How We Rank Season 15 Paladin Builds

This page intentionally owns a different search intent from the main Diablo 4 Season 15 Best Builds Tier List.

The main hub compares Paladin against every other class. This page compares Paladin builds against other Paladin builds.

  • Overall endgame: broad performance across current Season 15 activities.
  • Pushing: damage, defense, and repeatability against very high-health enemies.
  • Bossing: single-target performance when movement and pack clear matter less.
  • Speed: how much time the build loses moving between encounters.
  • Leveling: how early the setup works and how much exact gear it requires.
  • Gear dependence: reliance on specific Uniques, Oaths, Talismans, Mythics, and endgame resource systems.
  • Variant precision: one S-tier Hammerdin variant does not automatically make every Hammerdin S tier.
  • Post-fix stability: already-corrected bugs and unintended interactions are excluded.
  • Cross-source consistency: disagreement between current rankings is shown instead of selecting the highest available grade.

This remains a class comparison page. We explain Shield of Retribution’s Thorns engine, Judgement consume/reapply loops, Disciple’s Halo, Divine Javelin, and other build-defining mechanics far enough to show why the builds differ, but we deliberately stop before complete gear-by-slot lists, Skill Trees, Paragon paths, Masterworking priorities, and exact rotations.

Season 15 Paladin Meta Summary

The live Paladin hierarchy is much more useful than the launch version.

Shield of Retribution currently has the strongest high-end cross-source case. Season 15 gives it active Thorns damage through Blessed Shield, Skill Rank scaling for the Thorns component, and a more developed Clash/Punishment damage cycle.

Shield Charge remains the strongest mobility-oriented alternative. Its ability to combine travel, defense, Judgement, and damage in one skill makes it especially useful outside pure boss pushing.

Divine Lance is the main ranged alternative. Patch 3.2.1 increased its base damage and every major offensive Variant, while fixing both underperforming and unintended interactions.

Hammerdin remains powerful but variant-dependent. Some finished versions reach S tier, while broad push rankings are far less generous. Disciple’s Halo and Arbiter mobility explain why it remains especially attractive for leveling and general endgame.

Judgement is the major system to watch. Skill Rank scaling, Judicator Oath’s single-target bonus, Aspect of Watkin’s Law, Cathedral Song, and other Season 15 changes give Judicator builds a much stronger foundation than they had before.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Paladin Builds FAQ

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Paladin build in Diablo 4 Season 15 right now?

Shield of Retribution has the strongest current cross-source case. D4Guides now rates its Season 15 endgame version S tier, while Mobalytics places Shield of Retribution in A tier on the dedicated pushing list and its updated September 25 guide describes it as the highest-damage Paladin setup. Shield Charge and Divine Lance remain strong alternatives with better mobility or ranged play.

What is the best Paladin build for Pit and Tower pushing in Season 15?

Shield of Retribution currently has the clearest dedicated pushing case. Mobalytics places it in A tier on the current pushing list, above Divine Lance, Shield Charge, Hammerdin, Auradin, and Zeal, while D4Guides rates its current endgame build S tier.

Is Shield of Retribution good in Season 15?

Yes. The current build uses Blessed Shield with the Shield of Retribution Variant to turn Thorns into pulsing damage around the thrown shield. Patch 3.2.1 also makes the percentage of Thorns dealt scale with Blessed Shield Skill Ranks, giving the build an additional scaling route.

Is Hammerdin S tier in Season 15?

Some current Hammerdin variants are rated S tier on D4Guides, but Mobalytics ranks its verified Blessed Hammer build lower in the broad class tier list and in dedicated pushing. The exact Hammerdin version matters, so the whole archetype should not receive one universal S-tier label.

What is the best Paladin leveling build in Season 15?

Hammerdin and Divine Lance are both excellent leveling choices. Mobalytics has current Hammerdin leveling guides with strong mobility through Arbiter of Justice, while Icy Veins currently rates Divine Lance as an S-tier leveling build. Shield Charge is also an excellent progression option because movement and damage happen in the same skill.

How does Judgement work for Paladin in Season 15?

Judgement damage now scales with the Rank of the Skill that applied it. Judicator Oath also gives 100% increased Judgement damage when only one enemy is hit, while Aspect of Watkin's Law lets Judicator Skills consume and reapply Judgement. This makes skill choice and Judgement detonation timing much more important than in older Paladin guides.

What patch does this Paladin tier list use?

This ranking uses the live Season 15 Patch 3.2.1 Build #73552 state reviewed on September 26, 2026. Patch 3.2.2 is scheduled for September 29 and its published notes contain no Paladin-specific balance changes, so it is not pre-applied here.
