About AION 2 Skills:

Each Class has 14 total slots for skills. Eight of the slots are reserved for Mastery skills (think your regular common spells / skills), and six are reserved for Stigma Skills (think ultimate abilities / special skills). In regards to Mastery Skills, each skill has multiple tiers and can be upgraded all the way to level sixteen. Ten of those levels are upgraded by spending skill points obtained through leveling up your character. The remaining six can only be upgraded by completing your Daevanion Board. Stigma skills can only be upgraded through Stigma Shards, and Stigma Shards are obtained through end-game Transcendence & Expedition Runs and can be bought with Abyss Points. Constructing a good spell build is a bit of a headache itself, but actually making the build work and maxed out is a different story altogether. Daevanion Board (Lord-related Upgrade Trees):

The Daevanion Board is a chess-like board with nodes that provide stat upgrades and skill enhancements. There are six Lord Boards in total, four of which can be maxed out if the player is willing to commit a good chunk of their free time (think possible but super long-term), and two of which can be upgraded partially due to their massive size and separate point system. Please see the table below for a more detailed description.

The time estimate for completing the four general boards is around two to four hundred hours. Asphel cannot be fully upgraded; you can only spend up to 45 points (thus, either a defense or offense build is constructed). Ariel is not point-capped, but it might take months because of weekly lock-outs / time-gated events. Sounds like a lot of work? It sure is.
