The fastest way to get Superior Lair Keys in Diablo 4 Season 14 is to repeatedly clear a high-Torment Deathtoll Chamber. Normally, reaching another Chamber requires a Realmwalker encounter or a Nightmare Dungeon with the Rupture affix. Right now, however, players have found a Group Finder bug that can reset a completed Realmwalker Deathtoll Chamber without waiting for another event.
The reset makes it possible to clear the same Chamber again, collect another Superior Lair Key, and repeat the process for as long as the bug remains available. Those keys can then be spent on the Corrupted Reaper’s Hoard, which is one of the strongest Mythic Unique farming targets in Season 14.
| Method | Speed | Requirement | Important Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group Finder Chamber reset | Fastest | Realmwalker Deathtoll Chamber and access to parties | Bugged method that may be hotfixed |
| Realmwalker farming | Fast | Complete the eligible Rupture and defeat the Realmwalker | Intended and reliable farming route |
| Rupture Nightmare Dungeon | Slower | Nightmare Dungeon Sigil with the Rupture affix | Can open a Chamber but does not work with the reset described below |
This method begins with a Deathtoll Chamber opened through a Realmwalker. The Nightmare Dungeon version of the Chamber can still be completed for its normal rewards, but it does not appear to work with this specific reset.
Find and defeat a Realmwalker connected to the Season of Death Awakening activities. You can use the Realmwalker near Zarbinzet or one that appears through the eligible Helltide Rupture event.
Once the Realmwalker is defeated, enter its portal and proceed into the Deathtoll Chamber.
Clear the Deathtoll Chamber normally. Finish the encounter, defeat the enemies inside, and collect the completion rewards.
At high Torment levels, the July 14 patch changed Deathtoll Chambers to reward at least one Superior Lair Key. This is what makes repeating the Chamber so valuable. One reset means another Chamber completion and another chance to add keys to your farming stack.
After clearing the Chamber, open the Social menu and enter the Group Finder. The selected activity does not appear to matter. What matters is the host’s Torment difficulty.
Look for a group playing on a different Torment level from your own. For example, if your Chamber was completed on Torment XII, join a group hosted on Torment XI or another available difficulty.
Join the party and accept the prompt that transfers you to the host’s world. Your current Torment difficulty should change to match the host’s difficulty.
You do not need to complete the activity listed by the party. The transfer between world states is the part that triggers the reset behavior.
Leave the group after the transfer finishes. You should be returned to your previous world state, original Torment difficulty, and Deathtoll Chamber location.
If the bug is still working, the Chamber will now be reset. You can start the encounter again, clear it, and collect another set of rewards.
After the next clear, return to Group Finder, join another party on a different Torment level, transfer to the host, and leave again.
This removes the normal wait between Realmwalker spawns and avoids hunting for another suitable Nightmare Dungeon Sigil. The limiting factors become your Chamber clear speed and how long the reset remains functional.
The reset was reported after the July 14, 2026 patch and has already appeared in Diablo 4 community discussions and bug reports. There is no reason to assume it will remain available for the whole season.
Blizzard can change instance behavior without waiting for a major scheduled patch. The Chamber may stop resetting, may return you outside the activity, or may retain its completed state after switching parties.
There is also a practical problem with using random Group Finder listings. Players are joining unrelated parties, transferring worlds, and immediately leaving, which can frustrate hosts who are genuinely trying to fill a group. Coordinating with another player is less disruptive than cycling through random listings.
Once the reset is fixed, the intended route will still be worth running. The Deathtoll Chamber remains the main source of Superior Lair Keys, and high-Torment completions are supposed to award at least one key.
Look for the seasonal Rupture activities that can lead to a Realmwalker encounter. Complete the objectives and defeat the Realmwalker when it appears.
Use the portal opened after the Realmwalker encounter. Clear the Chamber on the highest Torment difficulty that your build can finish quickly and consistently.
A slower clear on the absolute highest difficulty is not always better. If lowering the difficulty lets you complete Chambers much faster, your keys per hour may improve even if individual runs offer slightly weaker secondary rewards.
Nightmare Dungeons with the Rupture affix provide another route into a Deathtoll Chamber. They do not support the current Group Finder reset described above, but they are still useful when no suitable Realmwalker event is available.
This route also lets you work on regular Nightmare Dungeon progression instead of standing around and waiting for an open-world event.
Superior Lair Keys open the Hoard after defeating a Superior-tier Lair Boss. In Season 14, the most important target is the Corrupted Reaper at the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet.
You do not spend the key to start the fight. The key is used after the boss dies, when you open the Hoard containing the valuable rewards. Going into the fight without a key means you can help kill the boss but cannot claim the main personal cache.
The Corrupted Reaper is especially valuable because it offers the season’s best direct Mythic Unique drop chance and can reward Pandemonium Fragments. Those fragments are used with the Horadric Cube’s Upgrade to Mythic recipe.
| Farming Step | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Realmwalker | Opens the intended route to a Deathtoll Chamber |
| Deathtoll Chamber | Rewards Superior Lair Keys at high Torment levels |
| Superior Lair Key | Opens the Corrupted Reaper’s personal Hoard |
| Corrupted Reaper | Provides Mythic Unique chances and Pandemonium Fragments |
| Pandemonium Fragments | Used for Mythic upgrading through the Horadric Cube |
For pure farming speed, yes. Repeating one completed Realmwalker Chamber is much faster than waiting for a new Realmwalker, searching the map for another suitable Rupture, or collecting Nightmare Dungeon Sigils with the correct affix.
The problem is that the method depends entirely on an unintended instance reset. It could stop working in the middle of a farming session, and there is no official guarantee that repeatedly triggering it carries no account risk.
Players who do not want to touch a bug should stick to the normal Realmwalker loop. It is slower, but it will continue working after the reset is removed.
The fastest current method is repeatedly resetting a Realmwalker Deathtoll Chamber through Group Finder. Join a party on a different Torment difficulty, transfer to the host’s world, and leave the party to return to the reset Chamber. This is a bug and may be hotfixed.
Complete an eligible Pandemonium Rupture, defeat the Realmwalker, enter the Deathtoll Chamber, and clear it on a high Torment difficulty. You can also reach a Chamber through a Nightmare Dungeon with the Rupture affix.
After patch 3.1.1, a Deathtoll Chamber should reward at least one Superior Lair Key at high Torment levels. Additional reward results can depend on difficulty and the specific run.
No. Nightmare Dungeons with the Rupture affix can lead to a Deathtoll Chamber, but the Group Finder reset described in this guide requires a Chamber entered through a Realmwalker.
The reset relies on transferring your character into a different world difficulty and then returning to your original world state. Joining a host on the same Torment level may not create the state change needed to reset the Chamber.
Superior Lair Keys open the personal Hoards of Superior-tier Lair Bosses. The main Season 14 target is the Corrupted Reaper, whose Hoard can contain Mythic Uniques and other seasonal rewards.
The Corrupted Reaper is found at the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet. Complete the seasonal questline first to unlock the boss as a repeatable Lair Boss.
Yes. Betrayer’s Husks were renamed Superior Lair Keys when Belial stopped being the only boss in that Lair Boss tier.
No. Solo Self Found characters cannot join parties, so they cannot use the Group Finder transfer required for this method.
Blizzard has not published a specific answer for this reset. It is still an unintended and repeatable bug, so nobody can honestly guarantee that using it is completely safe. Players who want to avoid that uncertainty should use the normal Realmwalker and Nightmare Dungeon routes.
The Deathtoll Chamber is the best place to farm Superior Lair Keys in Diablo 4 Season 14. While the Group Finder reset remains active, it removes the slowest part of the normal loop and lets you repeat the Chamber without waiting for another Realmwalker.
That speed comes with an obvious catch: the method is a bug. It could be fixed at any point, and random party hopping is already irritating players who are using Group Finder for its intended purpose.
Use the reset only if you accept that risk. Otherwise, farm Realmwalkers, clear high-Torment Deathtoll Chambers, save your Superior Lair Keys, and spend them on the Corrupted Reaper’s Hoard.
