Updated October 7, 2026: Prima Donna is still tied to the Paradise Lost Incursion. This guide reflects the current Red Horizon / Y8S3.1 state, including the Reconfiguration Blueprint available from Inaya.
To get Prima Donna in The Division 2, run the four-player Paradise Lost Incursion at Level 40. The Exotic Marksman Rifle can drop from the final Incursion chest at about a 10% chance per opening, or from the Wright, Martinez, and Johnson boss encounters at about 1% per boss. You can earn one new Incursion key per character each week, while boss drops remain repeatable.
| Prima Donna Source | Drop Chance | Limit | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paradise Lost final chest | About 10% | One new key per character each week | Best single chance |
| Wright | About 1% | Repeatable | Extra farm rolls |
| Martinez | About 1% | Repeatable | Extra farm rolls |
| Johnson | About 1% | Repeatable | Extra farm rolls |
Prima Donna does not replace Ouroboros. Both Exotics use the Paradise Lost reward structure, so the same Incursion can still reward either weapon.

Fastest Way To Get Prima Donna
The fastest realistic farm is to combine your weekly key attempts with repeatable boss kills instead of relying on only one source.
- Reach Level 40. You do not need Warlords of New York just to reach Level 40 or access Paradise Lost.
- Enter Paradise Lost with four players. Incursions are four-player endgame activities.
- Use your weekly key attempt on every geared character. The final chest has the better Prima Donna drop chance.
- Repeat Paradise Lost for boss rolls. Wright, Martinez, and Johnson can still drop Prima Donna after you have earned that character’s weekly key.
- Use alternate Level 40 characters. Each eligible character can earn another weekly key.
- Farm with players willing to share eligible drops. A group where several agents already own Prima Donna can improve your practical chance of leaving with one.
- Use Ambush or Assault Global Events when they are active. Ubisoft enabled these events inside Paradise Lost, which can make the Incursion easier to farm.
If you have several Level 40 characters, use their weekly key opportunities first. After that, repeated boss runs are the uncapped part of the Prima Donna farm. Unused keys can also be saved and opened later.
Where Does Prima Donna Drop?
Prima Donna is a Paradise Lost-exclusive Exotic Marksman Rifle. Ubisoft added it to the Incursion on July 21, 2026. Its confirmed sources are the final chest and the named boss encounters involving Wright, Martinez, and Johnson.
There is no official source placing Prima Donna in normal Targeted Loot, Countdown, standard Exotic Caches, or regular open-world Exotic drops. If this rifle is your target, Paradise Lost is the activity to farm.
Final Paradise Lost Chest
The final Incursion chest is the strongest single source. Prima Donna follows the same reward structure as Ouroboros, whose unique Incursion drop uses a roughly 10% chest chance.
You can earn one new Incursion key per character each week. If you already have unused keys saved, they can stack, so you can open the chest more than once when you have several keys available.
Wright, Martinez, And Johnson
The named bosses are the repeatable side of the farm. The original Paradise Lost reward rules give the unique Incursion Exotic a roughly 1% chance from each eligible boss, and Ubisoft confirmed that Prima Donna now drops in the same way as Ouroboros from Wright, Martinez, and Johnson.
This is why player experiences vary so much. One agent can get Prima Donna from an early boss run, while another can complete the Incursion many times without seeing it.
What The Prima Donna Drop Rates Actually Mean
A 10% or 1% drop rate does not mean the game owes you the weapon after ten or one hundred attempts. There is no known bad-luck protection for this farm.
| Farm Plan | Approximate Chance Of At Least One Prima Donna |
|---|---|
| 1 chest opening | 10% |
| 4 independent chest openings | About 34.4% |
| 1 full Wright + Martinez + Johnson cycle | About 3.0% |
| 10 full boss cycles: 30 boss rolls | About 26.0% |
| 20 full boss cycles: 60 boss rolls | About 45.3% |
These numbers assume independent rolls. They are useful for planning the grind, not for predicting when your personal drop will happen.
Can You Farm Prima Donna More Than Once Per Week?
Yes. The weekly restriction is tied to earning the Incursion key, not to the low-chance boss drops.
Your efficient weekly loop is:
- Earn the weekly key on every geared Level 40 character you want to use.
- Open the final chest with your available keys.
- After those key attempts are used, keep repeating Paradise Lost for Wright, Martinez, and Johnson drops.
- If your squad already owns Prima Donna, agree before the run that eligible duplicate drops can be shared with the player who still needs it.
Do You Need Warlords Of New York For Prima Donna?
No. This is one of the most common outdated claims in older Paradise Lost guides.
The One Endgame update made Level 40 and the main endgame available to every owner of The Division 2 without requiring Warlords of New York. Ubisoft specifically included Paradise Lost among the activities available after reaching Level 40.
Warlords of New York remains paid content for its story, South Manhattan map, and expansion-specific content, but it is no longer required just to reach Level 40 and enter Paradise Lost.
Yes, when the drop is eligible under the normal group-loot sharing rules. If another agent receives Prima Donna during a run with you, they may be able to share that drop with an eligible teammate from the same activity.
This changes how you should build a farming group. Four players who all need their first Prima Donna only have their own RNG. A group where several players already own it may be willing to pass an eligible duplicate to the one player who still needs the rifle.
Do not confuse normal group sharing with old September videos showing the Reconfiguration Blueprint creating extra Prima Donnas. That blueprint behavior was a bug and was fixed during the October 1 maintenance.
How To Reconfigure Prima Donna
Prima Donna now has a Reconfiguration Blueprint.
After you obtain the weapon, keep it in your inventory or stash and visit Inaya al-Khaliq. The Prima Donna Reconfiguration Blueprint becomes available for purchase when the game detects that you own the rifle.
This was not available when Prima Donna first launched, which is why older guides and Reddit answers may still say the weapon cannot be rerolled.
The blueprint originally had a bug that created another copy instead of reconfiguring the existing Exotic. The October 1, 2026 maintenance corrected that behavior. Current players can use the blueprint as a normal Exotic reconfiguration recipe.
Prima Donna Stats And Exotic Talent
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Weapon Type | Exotic Marksman Rifle |
| Weapon Family | Mk20 / SOCOM Mk20 SSR |
| Level 40 Damage | 417.7K |
| Rate Of Fire | 55 RPM |
| Magazine | 7 rounds |
| Talent | You Can Look… But You Can’t Touch |
Out of combat, Prima Donna gains 10 stacks in PvE. Each stack provides 12.5% Amplified Damage.
Taking damage automatically consumes one stack to fully repair that instance of incoming damage. One stack returns every three seconds.
At full stacks, the rifle has up to 125% listed Amplified Damage from its Exotic talent. It rewards patient, cover-based Marksman Rifle play instead of constant close-range fighting.
Is Prima Donna Worth Farming In Red Horizon?
Yes, especially if you enjoy Marksman Rifle builds. Red Horizon added several pieces that work naturally with this type of weapon.
Determined now works like Perfect Determined, so a kill from a converted headshot no longer triggers another guaranteed headshot. Part of that old body-shot chaining playstyle moved to the Iron Will Exotic Chest.
Iron Will uses the Resolved talent. In PvE, your next body shot is considered a headshot on a two-second cooldown when using a Marksman Rifle, Rifle, or Pistol.
Red Horizon also added the Melon Baller Airaldi Holdings backpack with Perfect Concussion. Headshots increase Total Weapon Damage by 20% for 1.5 seconds, extended to five seconds with Marksman Rifles, while headshot kills add another 15% Total Weapon Damage for ten seconds.
Current Prima Donna Build
A common Red Horizon community setup uses Prima Donna with Iron Will, Melon Baller, and four pieces of Aces & Eights.
| Slot | Recommended Piece | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Weapon | Prima Donna | Amplified opening damage and defensive stack mechanic |
| Chest | Iron Will | Resolved turns a body shot into a headshot on its cooldown |
| Backpack | Melon Baller | Perfect Concussion rewards repeated headshots |
| 4 Gear Slots | Aces & Eights | Marksman Rifle and headshot-focused damage |
| Main Attributes | Headshot Damage | Scales the build’s main damage condition |
| Utility Stat | Weapon Handling as needed | Makes the slow rifle easier to use consistently |
| Skills | Decoy + Reviver Hive | Safe support for long-range play |
This is a current community-favored setup, not the only correct Prima Donna build. Aces & Eights, Iron Will, and Melon Baller appear regularly in current MMR discussions, while Hotshot and other headshot-focused variants remain playable.
What To Use While You Farm Prima Donna
You do not need to wait for Prima Donna before building around Marksman Rifles.
- Mantis is comfortable for headshot-focused play and works well with a Decoy.
- Nemesis remains an option if you prefer slower, heavy single-shot damage.
- High-End Marksman Rifles can use normal weapon talents and carry the same headshot-focused gear core while you wait for Prima Donna.
A practical route is to finish the supporting gear first, use a temporary MMR, and replace it with Prima Donna when the Incursion finally pays out.
Common Prima Donna Farming Mistakes
Calling Paradise Lost An Eight-Player Activity
Paradise Lost is a four-player Incursion. Operation Dark Hours and Operation Iron Horse are eight-player Raids. They are different activity types.
Buying Warlords Of New York Only To Unlock Paradise Lost
You need Level 40 and endgame access. Warlords of New York ownership is no longer required for the Level 40 endgame itself.
Stopping After The Weekly Key
The chest has the better drop chance, but boss drops are still repeatable. Keep farming Wright, Martinez, and Johnson if you want more attempts before the next reset.
Using Old Reconfiguration Advice
Prima Donna now has a Reconfiguration Blueprint at Inaya after you own the rifle. Articles saying otherwise were correct at launch but are now outdated.
Trying To Target Farm It In Countdown
Prima Donna remains tied to Paradise Lost. Countdown is useful for many other items and resources, but it is not the direct Prima Donna farm.
Expecting A Guaranteed Drop After A Certain Number Of Runs
A 1% or 10% chance does not create a guaranteed drop after a fixed number of failures. You can get Prima Donna on your first run or go through a long dry streak.
