HOW TO quickly BECOME IMMORTAL IN DIABLO IMMORTAL.

Hello here. As an Immortal and a guy who helped dozens of people to get into, I want to introduce a quick little guide. Important note is that you can use the following advices as f2p or p2p player. Your amount of ‘investments’ doesnt really matter, as long as you have dedication, time and a little communicative skill.

Basically, you can become an Immortal following two routes – as a Shadow, or as an Adventurer.

Become Immortal in Diablo: Immortal – quickiest possible way.

Shadows can become Immortals only by overthrowing them during the Rite of Exile. So this way we will discuss in the second section. First, we will talk about a cheezy-weezy way. Still, it’s actually realistic to join Immortals after the end of the Cycle and during a week after. Assuming that you will become a Shadow eventually to not miss activities / exp / hilts etc.

So, after Cycle’s End:

1. You just have to be close to Paragon Server Level (better – slightly above). E.g. server paragon is 80, if you are 78-82 paragon, you are most likely in top5% of an active playerbase.
2. Get your CR at least to a decent level. Depending on when you read it, the number will be different. Try checking top20 of your class’ leaderboards in Challenge Rifts and focus on staying around.
3. Play at least 3-4 hours per day (which is eventually leads us to condition #1).
4. Try to maintain a connection between high ranked players of your server. Ask them for advices, participate in hidden lairs and dungeons. For sure, some of them will eventually become Immortals. That means they will help convincing officers/clan leaders.

That’s 4 main conditions, which are super easy to maintain. After Cycle has ended, you become and Adventurer. Do not become a Shadow! Just wait for Monday. After 3 clans assigned, just contact officers or clan leaders and ask for a spot. If you meet these conditions, your place is secured, 99%.

If you dont meet conditions yet, but still an active player – just wait. Immortals have to keep the pace, so people tend to quit the game, go to vacations etc. You will earn a spot eventually, just keep going and be patient. Plus, dont forget, that officers usually invite a lot of newcomers to get their contribution points. That will come in handy.

In a nutshell. By the end of the Cycle, be alongside the top50 of your class players on server and use opportunities to join. Again, do not become a Shadow or you will have to follow a second way. This method is purely f2p friendly.

Shadows will eventually become a new Immortal force.

Become Immortal in Diablo: Immortal – usual, but slow way.

Second method features the designed by Blizzard way of becoming Immortals. But I need to add some adjustments. Do not join low Dark Clans. Spend some time on investigating the rosters of the top clans. You need to find a Clan with enough players to win their Shadow War matches and at least 2-3 whales or 1 whale + 2 dolphins in roster. Best, if their leader will be a whale. For example, on my server, we have 2 clans wih whale leaders, which will decide who’s the next Immortal. I don’t really care if others there are more geared or not. All that matters is a clan leader, since he scales a lot in the Shadow War.

So, you find a good clan, metting the conditions, just join it and participate in the Shadow Wars. Be patient and consistent. Immortals of the First Cycle most likely the most powerful players on your server, since they were good enough to gather best clans. But, as the time goes, they will loose their advantage to buffed shadows and eventually leave their positions. So you can switch clans after 12 hours. Make sure, that you picked the one, which has good relationships with other top clans. Even if your clan loses the Royal Rumble after Rite of Exile, you can still become an immortal by being an allied clan.

So this method requires you to be more consistent, attending and communicative person, that the first one. In addition to building relationships with the strongest players on your Server, you have to analyze and protect yourself from risks, building a valuable relationships with the best challengers.

This method is more game design-friendly, than the first one. You just follow the flow.

If you lose Rite of Exile – what to do?

Basically, if you fail to become a new Immortal by winning Rite of Exile, you just immediately skip to method one. Remember, there’s always a possibility of a new spot basically every single day! If you have a good online, good CR and perfomance ratio, you are truly valuable member and will be needed for Immortal army.

Immortals are tricky

While I’m still pretty concerned that Immortals need changes, with Vault being the greatest problem – you still have to optimize your efficiency in the game. Waste less time, do more efficient actions. Only around 2 hours per day can keep you on a track as both f2p or p2p player. I’d personally would like to stay Shadows longer, but you have to try what you havent, right?
