Forget everything you have ever known about this game, because Diablo 4 returns with a new season, new mechanics and turns the game intoo a totally new level. There have been a lot of changes since the game’s release, but this season will make you truly immerse yourself in the world of Diablo 4 rework all over again.
In this article you will find a complete list of the most important changes that the player will have to face when the season releases on 14 May at 10 a.m. PT.
All of this from PTR is just a great change that is gonna massively improve the base game. ow, depending on its rarity, an item may have 1 less affix than before (down to 3 on Legendary items, 2 on Rare items), items no longer break, no more damage on tuesdays, but we also have a couple extra things happening here:
Greater Affix: some affixes can roll the greater that means they just have higher numbers on them.
Tempering and Masterworking: these are things that u craft it onto the item which there are more nuanced stats and also really cool stats like chance to cast twice or area increased.
Gems are now simpler so their effects are less highly situational, they’re now giving more flat out increases to your base attributes which is going to help in the paragon board because you are not going to be stacking items with like “plus to attribute”, so you can make up for missing attribute by using gems if your really need that for your paragon boards.
There’s the big codex overhaul now you just extract you don’t have to store aspects anymore, they’re permanently upgrading the codex of power, so once you’ve extracted a perfect world aspect you never need to find that aspect again, you permanently have that and can permanently infinitely craft t it onto new gear except in a new season, in new season – codex resets.
Diablo 4 loot rework turned into the completely new system. Blizzard has made a number of other major changes to the items, affixes, and aspects in Diablo 4:
• items with attributes will only drop for the classes they benefit the most;
• legendaries in world tier 4 will almost always drop at max item power;
• uniques now can drop in world tiers 1 and 2, and Uber Uniques can drop from level 55+ monsters giving you build-defining items as you level up;
• you can now trade Legendary and Unique items you haven’t crafted on to other players;
• the gold cost to reroll stats through enchanting will hit a cap instead of exponentially increasing;
• when you salvage Legendary items, the best aspect rolls are added to your Codex of Power for unlimited uses on other items;
• ancestral Legendary and Unique items can drop with stats already upgraded before you even start crafting.
Blizzard has effectively pulled the most exciting loot into the earlier parts of the game so everyone can get a taste of different builds sooner, and shifted the value of loot for endgame players who know exactly what they want away from the moment it drops. The drawback, of course, is that the chase for the best stats and best gear probably won’t have a definitive end as they do now. You will simply have to decide when you’re satisfied.
Helltide Reborn will make you dive into a such a cool experience. As you do stuff in Helltide you increase your threat level, just like in “GTA” you are getting more stars if the police is coming after you until you become hellmarked and then the army comes. That was inspired by the Season of Blood. You got the cursed rituals again, we’re here going to be able to summon the big boss and it says this nice big event that everyone can kind of group up for in the zone again.
You are going to get the best out of the previous seasons. We’re also now getting helltide in world tier 1 and 2 to the fun of the game. It’s going to help all those early levels make leveling feel better. The most effective way to level up is Helltide at the moment, and we are going to talk about this down below so stay tuned!

Now not only is the XP way faster and now everyone will be doing the same thing but it’s also a hell of a lot more fun other than the old way.
ADVANTAGES OF THE NEW METHOD:
• higher xp;
• the amount of the loot was increased as well as its quality;
• you also get way more gold and materials.
The most important advantage of this method of character leveling is dropped items from events. If you’ve ever leveled up in Diablo before, you’re looking for some pretty good items right before you go to the capstone dungeon (for open world tier 3 and 4) so you can kill the boss and go to the next world tier.
Items that drop from an event are far higher than your level. It’s an opportunity for something to happen that just helps you, just save these items in your stash, then you go back and then you are ready for the next world tier.
This opens up at World Tier 4, you’ll receive a priority quest to complete tier 46 Nightmare Dungeon to unlock these. Once you’ve done that you’ll start to find rune shards, these are your greater rift keys, from there you can open the Obelisk in Carrigan. You have to kill enough monsters before 10 minutes is up to some of the final boss and then also kill that final boss within the time.
Each player’s death removes the timer, 1st death removes 30 seconds, 2nd removes 60 seconds and 3rd removes 90 seconds. Once you’ve killed enough monsters you get a portal to the boss room, if you kill them within the time limit, you get Masterworking material and unlock the next level of the pit. The pit has 200 total levels of difficulty so they’ve not raised the cap because on PTR people already did tier 200.
Player who spends the runeshards to open the pit earns the lion’s share of materials, so now everyone is going to earn material. Only the player who opened The Pit has the chance to receive tantalizing Stygian Stones used for summoning Tormented Echoes Level 200 variants of the summonable bosses found in Diablo IV. The further you descend into levels of The Pit, the more frequent these Stygian Stones will appear.
All summonable bosses are now available at Level 200 as Tormented Echoes. Summonable with their regular summon Materials alongside Stygian Stones which can be found deep within The Pit these bosses cost more to summon but drop far more rewards. To summon a Tormented Echo, simply go to their typical summon location and select the Tormented Echo variant. Note that to summon the Beast in Ice, you’ll need to craft a different Nightmare Dungeon Sigil.
All items dropped from Tormented Echoes will be Item Level 925. While being defeated your first Tormented Echo drops one Resplendent Spark as a first-time reward (account bound).
