Welcome, soldiers!

If you’ve already tried out the BO7 beta guns, you probably know that picking the right weapon is a whole science. While the official release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set for November 14, we can only draw conclusions based on the beta, which ran from October 2-8. We’ll break down the Black Ops 7 guns list, evaluate each weapon, and put together a rough tier list based on what players have already tested.

So grab a seat, switch off your auto-fire mode, and get ready to discover which BO7 guns are truly worth your time.

BO7 Guns List and How They Performed in the Beta

Before we jump into rankings and best gun BO7 beta debates, let’s go over what we actually had access to during the beta. Remember, the Call of Duty Black Ops 7 guns we tried in beta aren’t the full set that will be in the final game. So, think of this section as field notes from testers, not final verdicts.

Assault Rifles

Assault rifles are the bread and butter of multiplayer. No matter the distance, they are comfortable to use almost everywhere:

M15 MOD 0

1.-M15-MOD-0
  • The classic starter rifle. Accurate, easy to control, with moderate damage. Great pick for beginners or anyone who prefers reliability over flash. Think of it as the vanilla ice cream of guns – simple, solid, and everyone knows it.

MXR-17

2.-MXR-17
  • Mid-to-long-range powerhouse, 42 damage per shot, 25-round mag. Superb accuracy, though maneuverability suffers during rapid fire.

Peacekeeper MK1

3.-Peacekeeper-MK1
  • High fire rate, slightly higher recoil, best suited for close encounters. If you’re the “run-and-gun” type, this one won’t let you down.

X9 Maverick

4.-X9-Maverick
  • Still under testing, but it’s turning out to be an interesting choice for the full release. It could be the dark horse of your loadout.

Pistols

Reliable sidearms for quick swaps and finishing off enemies:

Jäger 45

5.-Jager-45
  • Semi-automatic, 20–25 damage per shot. A trusty sidekick for fast secondary play.

CODA 9

6.-CODA-9
  • Fully automatic, KAP-40-esque, high fire rate, but guzzles ammo. Great if you like a mini-SMG in your pocket.

Submachine Guns (SMGs)

Great for tearing through enemies at close to mid-range combat:

Dravec 45

7.-Dravec-45
  • 28–32 damage, easiest to control among SMGs in the beta. Adaptable and effective at close and medium distances.

Razor 9mm (also known as Ryden 45k in the beta files)

8.-Razor-9mm
  • Works really well in close fights with a very fast fire rate, but the gun kicks back noticeably when shooting.

Graz 45k

9.-Graz-45k
  • Basic option, great for newcomers.

Carbon 57

10.-Carbon-57
  • Another confirmed SMG, still being tested for full beta performance.

Marksman Rifles

Rifles for accurate shots at medium and long distances:

M8A1

/11.-M8A1
  • Fires in four-round bursts, barely kicks. Works well when you keep your distance and time each shot. Not flashy or “aggressive,” but effective if you control your pace.

Shotguns

Deadly up close; one wrong turn and you’re toast:

M10 Breacher

/12.-M10-Breacher
  • Pump-action beast. One shot can end a fight at close range.

Echo 12

/13.-Echo-12
  • Semi-auto, fires two rounds per trigger pull. Precision pays off here.

Sniper Rifles

Long-range killers that demand skill and patience:

VS Recon

/14.-VS-Recon
  • Strong shots, one body shot to the upper torso can take down a target. Requires mastery, but highly powerful.

XR-3 ION

15.-XR-3-ION
  • Three-round burst with a slight delay between trigger pull and firing. Tricky to use effectively, so it’s a challenge for sharpshooters.

Light and Heavy Weapons

For holding positions or blasting Scorestreaks:

MK.78 (LMG)

16.-MK.78-LMG
  • Huge magazine, high damage, slow, and cumbersome. Best for defensive setups or suppressive fire.

A.R.C. M1 (Launcher)

17.-A.R.C.-M1-Launcher
  • Charged energy shot for taking down Scorestreaks, no lock-on. You’ll need steady aim, so don’t expect miracles in open fights.

Melee

Close combat when bullets just won’t do:

Flatline MK.II

18.-Flatline-MK.II_
  • High damage, moderate attack speed, occupies its own melee slot. Handy for when you like your fights old-school and personal.

The BO7 beta best guns are the M8A1 and Dravec 45 – the M8A1 is accurate at long range, and the Dravec 45 works well at close to medium distances.

The Peacekeeper MK1 and Ryden 45k are effective in tight areas, and the VS Recon can take out an enemy with a single shot. Even with the limited beta, it’s clear which exemplars define the early meta.

What Might Change After Launch

The beta shows how the guns work, but the full game will add new weapons and adjust the balance. Some guns, like Echo 12, weren’t in the beta, and the full AR class has six rifles. Ammo, recoil, and reload speeds may change, so the final BO7 guns list could look different.
