For years, Tarrabah was one of the few Exotics without a catalyst. Players loved its Ravenous Beast perk but hated losing the buff when they had to reload. That finally changed with the Monument of Triumph update on June 9, 2026 – the final live‑service content release for Destiny 2.

What Does The New Catalyst Do?

The catalyst adds Ambitious Assassin. This perk overflows the magazine based on the number of rapid kills before reloading. With Ravenous Beast active, Tarrabah already fires faster and deals massive damage. Now you can keep shooting even longer without stopping. More uptime means more dead enemies.

Where Does Tarrabah Catalyst Drop?

The Tarrabah catalyst is a random drop from completing encounters in Pantheon (the boss gauntlet added in Monument of Triumph). The more encounters you clear, the higher your chance.
