For years, Truth was just a meme – great for Gambit invasions but useless in endgame PvE. The Monument of Triumph update (June 9, 2026) changed everything. Bungie gave Truth a complete mechanical overhaul and its first-ever catalyst.

What Changed in The Rework?

Truth now has a unique ammo economy mechanic. When all rockets in a magazine hit a target, the weapon instantly refunds one ammo to reserves and massively buffs the next magazine with:

• Dramatically increased rate of fire
• Enhanced tracking strength
• Cluster bombs on impact

This means you can chain shots together without the usual downtime of Rocket Launchers. No more reloading. No more ammo problems. Just sustained, massive damage on a single target.

The New Catalyst: Reaper‘s Tithe

The catalyst takes Truth from «strong» to «broken». Here’s what it does:

Multiple simultaneous final blows queue up a stacking damage buff. The timer starts the next time you fire the weapon. Final blows extend the timer. In simple terms: if you can kill multiple enemies quickly (with any weapon), you build up a damage stack. The next time you shoot Truth, that stack activates and increases your rocket damage. Each additional kill extends the damage window. With good add control, you can keep Truth’s damage buff active through entire boss phases.
