Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 brings back Treyarch’s survival roots but wraps everything in a more modern, open-layout environment. If you played MWZ or Outbreak, BO7 feels like a refined hybrid: smaller, more focused, better pacing.
You drop into a contaminated city district, complete contracts, upgrade your perks and weapons, and push through escalating difficulty tiers. You can extract early or stay longer for bigger rewards.
1. Round-Based Zombies Map (Full Experience)
Treyarch is launching a traditional round-based Zombies map at release. The kind that includes:
This is the spiritual successor to maps like Firebase Z, Die Maschine, Kino, etc.
The official name has not been revealed yet, but we believe that this experience is part of BO7’s launch package.
2. Survival Map
Alongside the main map, BO7 includes a smaller, arena-style Survival map. It’s meant for:
This map is essentially a stripped-down slice of the main round-based map.
Showing up under-leveled in Zombies makes early rounds a chore. A starter leveling bot lobby in bo7 gets your weapons battle-ready before you even load into the map. This sets you up for a much smoother progression through early waves.
3. Dead Ops Arcade 4
The iconic top-down mode returns again:
It’s not the main Zombies mode, but it’s part of the overall Zombies content.
BO7 uses a contract-driven system that blends classic Zombies with DMZ-style objectives:
Common Mission Types
Every contract completed bumps you into a higher World Tier – BO7’s modern version of “rounds”.
BO7 doesn’t show 1, 2, 3… rounds anymore. Instead:
CONTRACTS = PROGRESSION
The more you complete, the harder the map becomes.
AMR9 (SMG) – perfect for early Dead Zone interiors: fast reloads, fast ADS.
Krig 6C (AR) – the safest all-around pick. Great until mid-high tiers. Low recoil, stable ammo use.
WSP-9 (SMG) – cheap wall-buy option. Excellent mobility.
Combat Knife – still amazing for early game salvage farming.
BO7 keeps PaP simple and classic:
Tiers
Elemental Mods
Meta combo:
✔ Always rotate, never camp – every BO7 map has crappy camping angles. Rotate constantly.
✔ Upgrade Armor BEFORE PaP – you survive way longer with Tier 2 armor than a Tier 1 PaP.
✔ Stims and Semtex are S-tier – Stims save runs. Semtex clears tight interiors perfectly.
✔ Know when to extract – if you hit Tier 4 with no armor or perks, extraction is smarter than pushing.
✔ Solo strategy – Stick to rooftop loops and labs with long sightlines.
Every perk has upgrade tiers:
| Perk | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Jugger-Nog | HP boost + regen (Tier 3) |
| Speed Cola | Reload + swap speed |
| Quick Revive | Faster revives / self-revive (solo) |
| Stamin-Up | Mobility boost |
| Deadshot Daiquiri | Crit damage tuning |
| Elemental Pop | Random ammo mod |
Priority Order:
BO7 has multiple Easter egg layers across its Zombies content:
We’ll publish a full walkthrough once the community solves the main quest.

How many Zombies maps does BO7 have?
At launch:
Is “Dead Zone” official?
Game8 references it, but Treyarch hasn’t officially named the map yet.
Does BO7 support solo Zombies?
Yes — full solo support.
Is Pack-a-Punch the classic system?
Yes — 3 tiers + elemental mods.
BO7 Zombies is shaping up to be the strongest Treyarch launch since Cold War. With a clean mix of round-based survival, a focused endurance map, and arcade chaos from Dead Ops 4, there’s plenty to grind even before Season 1 drops.
No filler. No fluff. Just pure Zombies.
