WoW Forever Destruction Warlock Guide: Best Builds, Rotation, Race & Professions

Destruction Warlock casting blazing fire magic in a burning battlefield, with Destruction Warlock Guide title in the center.

Destruction Warlock in WoW Forever is a ranged DPS specialization built around hard-hitting direct spells, burst windows, Soul Shard management, and a new interaction between Fire and Shadow damage. Unlike original Classic, where Destruction was often used mainly as a supporting tree for Ruin and Shadow Bolt builds, Forever gives deep Destruction its own complete damage engine through Incinerate, Shadow and Flame, Conflagrate, and Bane of Havoc.

The current WoW Forever beta is capped at level 20, so most of the specialization’s defining Fire toolkit cannot yet be played at endgame level. At the current cap, Destruction revolves around faster Shadow Bolt and Immolate casts, Mana efficiency, range, Shadowburn, demon damage, and efficient wand use. The deeper level-60 sections of this guide are therefore clearly separated as theorycraft and should be revisited as higher beta level caps and raid testing become available.

Leveling a Destruction Warlock in WoW Forever

Destruction becomes much more distinctive as deeper Fire talents unlock, but at the current level-20 cap its strength still comes from efficient hard casts, a strong demon, and knowing when a target is worth a full spell setup.

Level It Yourself
  • Learn when Immolate and Bane of Agony will live long enough to pay back their Mana cost.
  • Practice pet pulls, wand finishing, Soul Shard management, and safe Life Tap timing.
  • Upgrade your wand and Spell Power gear while unlocking the deeper Fire toolkit.
Use WoW Forever Leveling
  • Choose the exact target level you want, up to level 60.
  • Skip repeated questing, travel, and dungeon routing.
  • Return to the character at the level range you need for your next goal.

Best Destruction Warlock Talent Builds in WoW Forever

Best Level 20 Destruction Warlock Build

A clean spec-focused level-20 build puts all 11 available talent points into Destruction. It improves the three things that matter most before the deeper Fire toolkit unlocks: cast speed, Mana efficiency, and the ability to finish targets instantly with Shadowburn.

Talent Points Why Take It?
Bane 5/5 Reduces the cast time of Shadow Bolt, Immolate, and later Incinerate by 0.5 sec, while also reducing Soul Fire’s cast time by 2 sec.
Destructive Reach 2/2 Increases the range of all damaging spells by 20%, giving Destruction more time to complete hard casts before an enemy reaches you.
Cataclysm 3/3 Reduces the Mana cost of Destruction spells by 10% at maximum rank, which directly addresses one of Destruction’s biggest leveling weaknesses.
Shadowburn 1/1 Provides instant Shadow damage on a 15-second cooldown. If a non-trivial target dies within 8 seconds after being hit, you regain a Soul Shard.
  • A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
  • A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.

Warlock Destruction talent build — Affliction 0, Demonology 0, Destruction 11.

0 / 0 / 11 Key talents: Shadowburn, Aftermath 5/5, Cataclysm 3/3, Destructive Reach 2/2

This pure Destruction setup follows the current level-20 testing that prioritizes reliable benefits rather than early Crit-dependent talents. Improved Shadow Bolt and Aftermath remain legitimate alternatives if you prefer more Shadow Bolt scaling or stronger Immolate pressure.

Legacy talent points: the current beta allows up to seven Legacy Points to be collected before level 25, which can result in two additional class talent points. With the pure Destruction setup above, those extra points can begin filling Ruin for additional critical-strike damage bonus.

If Mana sustain is causing more downtime than direct damage, a hybrid variation that moves early points into Improved Life Tap or Soul Harvesting is also reasonable. Current level-20 testing is not settled enough to treat one leveling allocation as mandatory.

Level 60 Destruction Warlock PvE Build — Fire Theorycraft

This is forward-looking level-60 theorycraft, not a solved raid build. The beta currently cannot provide level-60 raid logs, final encounter profiles, complete itemization, or stable endgame tuning.

A particularly interesting current framework is 5/11/35. It combines 5/5 Suppression for Hit and threat reduction, reaches Demonic Sacrifice, and spends 35 points in Destruction to complete the Fire-oriented Incinerate package.

  • A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
  • A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.

Warlock Destruction talent build — Affliction 5, Demonology 10, Destruction 33.

5 / 10 / 33 Key talents: Incinerate, Bane of Havoc, Conflagrate, Shadowburn, Ruin 5/5, Aftermath 5/5
Key Talent Role in the Build
Destructive Reach Provides 20% extra range to all damaging spells, not just the Destruction school.
Bane Shortens Shadow Bolt, Immolate, Incinerate, and Soul Fire casts.
Cataclysm At 3/3, reduces the Mana cost of Destruction spells by 10%.
Aftermath At 5/5, increases Immolate’s initial damage by 50% and makes Conflagrate apply a 50% movement slow for 5 sec.
Ruin At 5/5, increases the critical-strike damage bonus of Destruction spells by 100%.
Shadowburn An instant Shadow attack that becomes an important Fire-damage enabler through Shadow and Flame.
Agonizing Flames At 3/3, increases Searing Pain Crit and increases damage from all Destruction spells by 10%.
Conflagrate Instant Fire burst that requires Immolate and becomes much easier to use once Shadow and Flame stops it from consuming the DoT.
Bane of Havoc Copies 15% of the damage you deal to other targets onto one marked enemy, giving deep Destruction a dedicated two-target mechanic.
Fire and Brimstone At 3/3, gives Conflagrate 25% additional Critical Strike chance.
Shadow and Flame The centerpiece of deep Destruction: Shadowburn buffs Fire damage, Conflagrate buffs Shadow damage, and rank 5 guarantees both Immolate preservation and the immediate Shadowburn shard refund.
Incinerate The new deep-Destruction Fire filler. It deals 25% additional damage when the target is affected by Immolate.

Demonic Sacrifice for a Fire Destruction Build

The 11-point Demonology investment opens an especially clean Fire interaction:

  1. Summon a Succubus or Incubus.
  2. Use Demonic Sacrifice.
  3. The Sayaad sacrifice grants 15% increased Fire damage.
  4. Do not summon another demon afterward in this build, because without Demonic Pact any demon summon cancels Demonic Sacrifice.
  5. Use the resulting Fire modifier with Immolate, Incinerate, Conflagrate, Rain of Fire, and your other Fire-side damage.

This sacrifices pet DPS and pet utility for personal Fire throughput. Whether that trade remains optimal at level 60 depends on final pet scaling, encounter movement, Mana pressure, and raid tuning.

Shadow-Oriented Destruction Alternative

There are also public 9/11/31 and similar Shadow-oriented Destruction builds that sacrifice the Imp for 15% Shadow damage and continue leaning heavily on Shadow Bolt. That concept is worth watching, but current community write-ups for it contain several stale beta values. Treat the build idea separately from the old rotation timings.

In particular, current beta data uses a 20-second Shadow and Flame window, not 100 seconds, and the redesigned Improved Shadow Bolt is a personal Shadow-damage interaction rather than the old raid-wide Classic debuff.

Level 60 Destruction Warlock PvP Build — Theorycraft

A useful current PvP framework is 0/16/35. It gives up PvE Hit investment to combine deep Destruction burst and control with Demonology survivability, faster demon recovery, and additional Stamina.

  • A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
  • A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.

Warlock Destruction talent build — Affliction 0, Demonology 15, Destruction 33.

0 / 15 / 33 Key talents: Incinerate, Bane of Havoc, Conflagrate, Shadowburn, Ruin 5/5, Molten Skin 5/5
Talent PvP Value
Molten Skin Reduces all incoming damage by 10% at 5/5.
Aftermath Makes Conflagrate part burst spell and part movement control by adding a 50% slow for 5 sec at maximum rank.
Ruin Raises the payoff from Destruction critical strikes and supports the spec’s burst-oriented PvP identity.
Pyroclasm Gives Soul Fire, Rain of Fire, and Hellfire chances to stun targets for 3 sec.
Shadow and Flame Lets Conflagrate preserve Immolate at 5/5 and lets Shadowburn function as an instant Fire-damage setup spell.
Fel Vitality Adds both personal Mana and demon durability.
Master Summoner Reduces demon summon time and Mana cost.
Fel Domination Provides emergency pet recovery or a rapid pet swap after your active demon dies.

The PvP objective is to create space with Fear and demon utility, establish Immolate, then combine Conflagrate and Shadowburn with hard casts when the opponent cannot immediately interrupt you. Do not stand still trying to perform a theoretical PvE Fire rotation while being pressured.

Best Race for Destruction Warlock in WoW Forever

Racial balance is still subject to beta tuning, but Destruction has one important difference from Affliction and Demonology: a larger share of its gameplay consists of normal hard casts. That makes cast-speed effects more naturally compatible with the spec.

Race Why It Works for Destruction Best Fit
Gnome Eureka! reduces the Mana cost of the next three damaging abilities by 50% and increases their damage by 10%. Expansive Mind also increases maximum Mana. Alliance PvE / leveling
Troll Berserking increases casting speed by 10% for 10 sec. It does not accelerate DoTs, channels, or pet attacks in current testing, but Destruction’s Shadow Bolt, Immolate, Incinerate, and Soul Fire casts can benefit directly. Horde Destruction-specific synergy
Orc Blood Fury increases Spell Power as well as Attack Power. Hardiness and Shatter Curse also provide strong PvP utility. Horde general throughput / PvP
Human Will to Survive breaks Stuns, while Sword Specialization can provide spell Critical Strike chance when an appropriate sword is equipped. Alliance PvP
Undead Will of the Forsaken remains highly useful against Charm, Fear, and Sleep, while Cannibalize improves leveling downtime. Horde PvP / utility

Current takeaway: Gnome has the clearest Alliance caster package. Troll has unusually direct synergy with Destruction because Berserking accelerates the hard casts that make up much of the specialization, while Orc remains a strong general-purpose offensive alternative through Blood Fury. These differences are still beta-sensitive enough that they should not override a race you strongly prefer.

Best Professions for Destruction Warlock in WoW Forever

Endgame profession optimization is not solved yet because final recipes and raid itemization are incomplete. The current profession bonuses nevertheless produce several logical combinations.

Profession Setup Why It Fits Destruction
Tailoring + Engineering Currently has the highest suspected offensive ceiling. Tailoring offers cloth embroidery including Spell Power, while Engineering provides bombs, gadgets, and combat utility.
Tailoring + Enchanting A strong self-contained caster setup with cloth crafting, embroidery, ring enchants, and the ability to disenchant your own crafted gear.
Enchanting while leveling Useful because crafted wand progression is particularly important for low-level Warlocks. The Greater Magic Wand is one of the important early upgrades.

First Aid is especially useful as a secondary profession because bandages restore Health without consuming Mana, helping recover Health spent through Life Tap. Cooking also gains additional leveling value through its Forever food bonuses.

Destruction Warlock Stat Priority and Gear

Level 20 Stat Priority

The current provisional level-20 priority is:

Spell Power > Spell Hit > Haste > Critical Strike > Intellect > Stamina > Spirit

  • Spell Power: improves Shadow Bolt, Immolate, Searing Pain, Shadowburn, and other damaging spells. Forever wands also gain value from Spell Power.
  • Spell Hit: especially useful in the pure Destruction build because it does not take Suppression. Missing a long cast wastes both time and Mana.
  • Haste: more useful for Destruction than for the DoT- and channel-heavy Warlock specs because it speeds normal hard casts. It does not make DoTs or channeled drains tick faster in the current beta.
  • Critical Strike: already useful for direct damage and becomes increasingly important deeper in the tree through Ruin, Fire and Brimstone, and other Crit interactions.
  • Intellect: increases the Mana pool available before another Life Tap is required.
  • Stamina: improves survivability and gives Life Tap a larger Health buffer to work with.
  • Spirit: has some Warlock resource value but remains behind direct offensive stats for a Destruction-focused character.

Level 20 Gear Priorities

Priority What to Look For
Wand Keep it updated. Wands scale with Spell Power in Forever and allow you to finish enemies without spending another chunk of Mana.
General Spell Power Especially convenient while leveling because it improves both Fire and Shadow spells instead of forcing you to commit to one school prematurely.
Spell Hit Strong whenever available, especially against enemies at or above your level.
Haste / Crit Both support Destruction’s direct-cast identity, although low-level item budgets may make raw Spell Power more valuable.
Intellect / Stamina Useful secondary stats for resource capacity and Life Tap safety.

Do not copy an original Classic level-20 BiS list without checking every tooltip. Forever changes existing items and adds new gear, so an item’s old reputation is not proof that it remains optimal.

Level 60 Stat Priority — Provisional

No trustworthy final stat weights exist for level-60 Destruction yet. A reasonable starting framework for the Fire-oriented build is:

Required Spell Hit > General / Fire Spell Power > Critical Strike and Haste > Intellect / Stamina

Crit has unusually strong synergy with 5/5 Ruin and Fire and Brimstone, while Haste benefits the hard casts that occupy much of the Destruction rotation. Their exact relative values require real level-60 gear, encounter profiles, and simulation or combat-log testing.

School-specific gear also requires care. Fire damage improves Immolate, Incinerate, Conflagrate, Searing Pain, Soul Fire, and Fire AoE, but it does not improve Shadowburn or Shadow Bolt. General Spell Power is therefore more flexible whenever your build genuinely mixes both schools.

Destruction Warlock Rotation in WoW Forever

Level 20 Solo Rotation

  1. Use Summon Voidwalker when you need reliable tanking, or Summon Succubus when maximum pet damage is more valuable.
  2. Send the demon into the target before beginning your hard casts.
  3. Apply Bane of Agony first on durable enemies because it needs time to ramp and has little upfront threat.
  4. Apply Corruption only when the enemy will survive long enough for the cast and Mana cost to pay off.
  5. Cast Immolate.
  6. Use Shadow Bolt as your main direct-damage filler.
  7. Stop casting and use your wand when your demon plus existing damage will already finish the target efficiently.
  8. Use Shadowburn when you expect a non-trivial enemy to die within 8 seconds so the Soul Shard is returned.
  9. Use Drain Soul on selected kills whenever your Soul Shard supply needs rebuilding.

The main leveling trap is spending Mana just because another cast is available. Destruction already has less passive sustain than Affliction and less pet-resource support than Demonology. If your existing DoTs, pet, and wand will finish the target, another Shadow Bolt can simply turn into unnecessary Life Tap and drinking time later.

Using Searing Pain at Level 20

Searing Pain becomes available as a faster Fire cast, but it generates high threat. It can be useful when you need damage faster than a Shadow Bolt can land, but repeatedly casting it into a fresh dungeon pull is an easy way to take the target away from the tank.

Level 20 Dungeon Rotation

  1. Give the tank time to establish threat.
  2. Apply the utility Curse your group needs.
  3. Use Bane of Agony on bosses and other targets that will survive long enough.
  4. Maintain Immolate on durable targets.
  5. Add Corruption when its full duration is worthwhile.
  6. Use Shadow Bolt as normal filler.
  7. Use Shadowburn for movement or as a finisher when its Soul Shard return is likely.
  8. Against larger packs, use Rain of Fire only after the tank has established enough threat.

Remember that Forever separates damage Banes from utility Curses. You can keep a damage Bane active while also applying the Curse your party needs.

Level 60 Fire Destruction Rotation — Current Theorycraft

Before the Pull

  1. Summon your Sayaad.
  2. Use Demonic Sacrifice for the 15% Fire-damage buff.
  3. Do not summon another demon afterward.
  4. Prepare enough Soul Shards to use Shadowburn and Warlock utility.

Single Target

  1. Apply the appropriate utility Curse.
  2. Use the appropriate damage Bane when Bane of Havoc is not required.
  3. Maintain Immolate. It is both damage and setup: Incinerate gains 25% damage against an Immolated target and Conflagrate requires the debuff.
  4. Use Shadowburn to create the Fire-damage portion of Shadow and Flame. At 5/5 the shard is refunded immediately, but you must already have a shard to cast it.
  5. Use Incinerate as the primary Fire filler while Immolate is active.
  6. Use Conflagrate when available and useful. At 5/5 Shadow and Flame it no longer consumes Immolate.
  7. Conflagrate also opens the Shadow-damage half of Shadow and Flame for 20 sec. Use that window when your actual build and encounter make Shadow damage worthwhile; do not automatically force a Shadow Bolt after every Conflagrate.
  8. Use Life Tap in safe moments rather than waiting until your Mana bar is empty.

Two Targets — Bane of Havoc

  1. Put Bane of Havoc on the durable target that should receive passive damage.
  2. Attack the other target with your normal rotation.
  3. 15% of the damage you deal to those other targets is copied onto the Havoc target.
  4. If adds are the current priority, putting Havoc on the boss allows part of your add damage to continue hitting the boss.
  5. Do not put Havoc on a crowd-controlled target or an enemy that must temporarily stop taking damage.

Important: repeatedly attacking the Havoc-marked target itself does not generate extra Havoc damage. The mechanic only copies damage dealt to other targets.

AoE

Rain of Fire and Hellfire remain Destruction spells and benefit from relevant tree-wide Destruction modifiers such as Agonizing Flames. Their exact level-60 priority will depend heavily on enemy count, duration, threat, Mana efficiency, and encounter positioning.

How Destruction's Endgame Damage Loop Works

Deep Destruction is no longer just a Shadow Bolt build. The current tree deliberately links Fire and Shadow spells, rewarding you for creating the right school-damage window before committing to your main filler.

1
Prepare the target Maintain Immolate and the utility Curse or Bane your encounter needs. On two-target fights, place Bane of Havoc on the enemy you want to damage passively while attacking the other target.
2
Create the Fire window Shadowburn triggers Shadow and Flame's Fire-damage bonus. At 5/5 the Soul Shard is refunded immediately, but you still need a shard available to cast Shadowburn.
3
Spend the Fire window Use Incinerate on an Immolated target and Conflagrate when appropriate. Incinerate gains extra damage from Immolate, and 5/5 Shadow and Flame prevents Conflagrate from consuming it.
4
Bridge back to Shadow Conflagrate activates the Shadow-damage half of Shadow and Flame. That gives Shadow Bolt or other Shadow damage a temporary window instead of forcing the spec to remain permanently in one school.

Advanced Destruction Mechanics You Should Know

1. Shadow and Flame Is an Opposite-School Bridge

Shadow and Flame is the mechanic that gives Forever Destruction a genuinely new identity.

  • Conflagrate increases your Shadow damage.
  • Shadowburn increases your Fire damage.
  • At 5/5, each damage bonus reaches 10% for 20 seconds.
  • At 5/5, Conflagrate has a 100% chance not to consume Immolate.
  • At 5/5, Shadowburn has a 100% chance to immediately refund a Soul Shard.

This means Shadowburn is no longer only an execute-style finisher in a deep Fire build. It can also be a setup spell for the Fire casts that follow it.

Likewise, Conflagrate’s Shadow bonus does not mean you must immediately cast Shadow Bolt every time. It creates an opportunity. Whether changing schools is worth the cast depends on your build, buffs, target lifetime, and current Fire setup.

2. Bane of Havoc Uses Inverted Targeting

Bane of Havoc becomes much easier to understand if you stop thinking of its target as your primary victim.

The marked enemy is the recipient of copied damage. Your real rotation happens on something else.

Encounter Good Havoc Target Target You Actively Attack
Boss + priority add Boss Priority add
Two durable bosses Whichever one is not your current primary target Current kill target
One isolated boss None Boss normally
Enemy that must remain CC’d Do not use Havoc there Safe damage target

Bane of Havoc lasts five minutes, but it also occupies that target’s one-Bane slot from your Warlock. On a pure single-target encounter, another damage Bane may therefore be more useful.

3. Shadowburn Has Two Different Shard Refund Concepts

This interaction is easy to misread.

Baseline Shadowburn costs one Soul Shard. If a qualifying enemy dies within 8 seconds after being hit, you gain a Soul Shard.

At 5/5 Shadow and Flame, Shadowburn also receives an immediate Soul Shard refund.

Neither mechanic means that you can press Shadowburn with zero shards. The spell still requires the Soul Shard first. The talent refunds the resource after the cast.

This distinction matters because a player who spends their last shard on another utility effect cannot assume Shadowburn will remain available merely because Shadow and Flame is 5/5.

4. Fire and Brimstone Is Not the Later-WoW AoE Mechanic

The name Fire and Brimstone creates an easy knowledge trap for players familiar with later versions of World of Warcraft.

In WoW Forever, the current talent does not make Incinerate cleave and does not turn your Fire rotation into an AoE toggle.

Its current effect is straightforward: at 3/3 it increases Conflagrate‘s Critical Strike chance by 25%.

Your dedicated extra-target mechanic is Bane of Havoc, while Rain of Fire and Hellfire provide traditional area damage.

5. Rank 5 Shadow and Flame Is a Gameplay Breakpoint, Not Just More Damage

Each point in Shadow and Flame improves more than the damage bonus. The chance for Conflagrate to preserve Immolate and for Shadowburn to receive its immediate shard refund scales from 20% toward 100%.

That makes 5/5 a behavioral breakpoint. Before rank 5:

  • check whether Conflagrate actually consumed Immolate;
  • do not assume Shadowburn refunded the shard;
  • adapt the next cast to what actually happened.

At 5/5, both preservation effects become guaranteed, making the rotation substantially more deterministic.

Destruction Warlock Mana Management

Mana sustainability is one of the most common current community questions about Destruction. The concern is justified: at level 20, the specialization has less passive sustain than Affliction and fewer pet-resource interactions than Demonology.

  • 3/3 Cataclysm reduces Destruction Mana costs by 10%.
  • Do not apply every DoT to short-lived quest enemies.
  • Use your wand when another Shadow Bolt would be unnecessary.
  • Life Tap before Mana becomes an emergency, but avoid trading away dangerous amounts of Health.
  • Use Shadowburn near a kill rather than spending shards indiscriminately.
  • Keep Drain Soul available when your shard supply begins running low.

At level 60, additional options such as Demonic Sacrifice can theoretically be used for resource recovery instead of pure damage. For example, the Voidwalker sacrifice restores Mana over time and the Felhunter sacrifice restores Health that can later be converted through Life Tap. Whether either sustain setup beats the Fire-damage sacrifice on real raid encounters cannot be known until endgame testing exists.

What Changed for Destruction Warlock in WoW Forever?

Change Why It Matters
Incinerate added Deep Destruction gains a dedicated Fire filler that deals 25% additional damage while Immolate is active.
Shadow and Flame added Links Fire and Shadow gameplay while changing both Conflagrate’s Immolate consumption and Shadowburn’s shard economy.
Bane of Havoc added Provides a dedicated two-target mechanic that copies 15% of damage dealt to other enemies onto one marked target.
Fire and Brimstone added Improves Conflagrate’s Crit chance rather than acting as the later-expansion AoE toggle associated with the same name.
Destructive Reach expanded Its additional range now applies to all damaging spells rather than only Destruction spells.
Improved Shadow Bolt redesigned The current Forever version is a personal Shadow-damage interaction rather than the old Classic-style raid support debuff.
Aftermath redesigned Increases Immolate’s initial damage and gives Conflagrate a movement slow.
Agonizing Flames expanded Now increases all Destruction damage in addition to improving Searing Pain Crit.
Ruin changed to five ranks Reaching the full 100% increase to Destruction’s critical-strike damage bonus now requires a larger talent investment.
Molten Skin added Gives deep Destruction access to up to 10% passive damage reduction.
Damage DoTs can Crit Critical Strike can affect more of the Warlock toolkit than in original Classic.
Damage Curses became Banes Destruction can use a damage Bane while maintaining the utility Curse its group needs.

Beta Data Warning: Avoid Old Destruction Timings

Several early level-60 theorycraft pages were written before the current beta-client values stabilized. In particular, do not build a rotation around older claims that Shadow and Flame lasts 100 seconds, Improved Shadow Bolt lasts 60 seconds, or 3/3 Cataclysm reduces Mana costs by only 9%.

The current beta data uses a 20-second Shadow and Flame duration, a 12-second current Improved Shadow Bolt effect, and 10% Mana-cost reduction from 3/3 Cataclysm. Always prioritize current beta-client spell data over older written theorycraft.

Best Legacy Perks for Destruction Warlock

Legacy progression is account-wide, but points can be allocated differently for each character. Destruction benefits particularly well from perks that accelerate talent access or reduce Health and Mana downtime.

Legacy Perk Why Destruction Likes It
Talented Allows class talent points to arrive earlier while leveling, letting Destruction reach Shadowburn, Ruin, and later breakpoints sooner.
Thrill of Adventure Restores Health and Mana after qualifying open-world kills, directly helping a specialization that otherwise spends both resources aggressively.
Well Rested Improves rested-experience accumulation and cap, making it useful for alts and shorter leveling sessions.
High Alert A situational open-world PvP option when detecting stealthed opponents matters.

Legacy lets you receive talent points earlier while leveling, but it does not raise the normal level-60 class-talent total beyond 51.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Conflagrate consume Immolate in WoW Forever?

Normally yes. Shadow and Flame adds a chance for Conflagrate not to consume Immolate, reaching 100% at 5/5. Deep Destruction therefore keeps Immolate active while using Conflagrate once the talent is fully ranked.

How should Bane of Havoc be used?

Put Bane of Havoc on the secondary target you want to damage while attacking something else. It copies 15% of the damage you deal to other targets onto the marked enemy, so attacking only the Havoc target gives it nothing to copy.

Does 5/5 Shadow and Flame make Shadowburn free?

No. Shadowburn still requires a Soul Shard to cast. At 5/5 Shadow and Flame that shard is refunded immediately, so you need at least one shard available before pressing the spell.

Is Fire and Brimstone an AoE talent in WoW Forever?

No. In the current Forever tree, Fire and Brimstone increases Conflagrate's critical-strike chance. It is not the later-expansion mechanic that makes Incinerate or other Fire spells cleave.
