Professions matter far more in WoW Forever than they did through much of original Vanilla. Every primary profession now brings its own personal perks, exclusive enhancements, new recipes, crafted progression, economic opportunities, and campsite utility — which means choosing your two professions can directly affect your character instead of simply deciding what you craft.
There is also no single profession that is best at everything. Engineering remains extremely attractive for PvP and combat utility, Alchemy has some of the strongest PvE and consumable benefits, while gathering professions such as Herbalism and Mining have a major advantage for players who want to build gold during the leveling rush.
This WoW Forever profession tier list therefore ranks every primary profession separately for PvE, PvP, and goldmaking rather than forcing three completely different goals into one misleading overall ranking.
Beta note: WoW Forever is still being tested and the current beta has not exposed the complete level-60 profession ecosystem. Final recipes, profession-exclusive items, raid drops, enhancement values, and balance tuning can still change before launch. Rankings below reflect the best information available as of September 27, 2026 and are designed to show current value rather than pretend the endgame economy is already solved.
WoW Forever Profession Tier List — Quick Facts
WoW Forever Profession Tier List at a Glance
The table below is the fastest way to compare professions. The same profession can move several tiers depending on what you want from it.
| Profession | PvE | PvP | Goldmaking | Main Strength |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemy | S | A | S | Improved consumables, Mixology, Philosopher’s Stone, repeat demand |
| Blacksmithing | A | B | B | Belt Buckles, weapons/armor, personal gearing potential |
| Enchanting | A | A | S | Personal ring enchants, disenchanting, repeat enchant demand |
| Engineering | S | S | C | Bombs, gadgets, mobility, control and unique combat utility |
| Herbalism | B | A | S | Magic resistance plus high-demand gathering materials |
| Leatherworking | B | B | B | Bracer enhancements, gear, armor kits, bags and mount utility |
| Mining | A | S | S | +5% total health and materials required by several professions |
| Skinning | B* | D | A | +5% damage to Beasts/Dragonkin and easy gathering while leveling |
| Tailoring | A | B | A | Embroidery, cloth gear, extra cloth and bags |
*Skinning is the biggest situational exception in the entire list. Its current perk gives 5% additional damage against Beasts and Dragonkin. That can make it dramatically stronger than B Tier in the correct raid, dungeon, or farming environment and nearly irrelevant when those creature types are absent.
How We Rank WoW Forever Professions
These rankings are not based only on what a profession can craft. Forever gives professions enough unique mechanics that several different factors matter.
- Personal character power: bonuses or items available specifically because you know the profession.
- PvE utility: raid and dungeon damage, survivability, consumables, gear, and encounter tools.
- PvP utility: health, resistance, crowd control, mobility, burst tools, gadgets, and consumable advantages.
- Goldmaking: demand, repeat customers, material costs, market flexibility, and how much capital is required to get started.
- Leveling value: whether the profession helps immediately or only becomes valuable at endgame.
- Exclusivity: whether the important benefit can simply be purchased from somebody else.
- Beta uncertainty: professions depending heavily on unseen level-60 recipes receive more conservative rankings.
WoW Forever Profession Bonuses Explained
One of Forever’s largest profession changes is that choosing a profession can now affect your actual character power.
| Profession | Current Personal Benefit / Specialty |
|---|---|
| Alchemy | Mixology improves and extends elixirs and flasks you can make; also gains an upgradeable Philosopher’s Stone. |
| Blacksmithing | Creates Belt Buckles with stat bonuses, additional equipment and gains a personal Repair All ability. |
| Enchanting | Personal ring enchants for Spell Power, Attack Power, or Stamina, with multiple ranks. |
| Engineering | No simple passive stat bonus, but receives bombs, explosives, gadgets, tinkers and unusual utility. |
| Herbalism | Natural Talent grants resistance to multiple magic schools and scales with profession skill. |
| Leatherworking | Bracer enhancements, armor kits, profession gear, bags, and a saddle that can increase mount speed. |
| Mining | Increases total health by 5%. |
| Skinning | Deals 5% additional damage to Beasts and Dragonkin. |
| Tailoring | Cloth embroidery providing stats such as Spell Power, Attack Power, or Stamina, plus additional cloth acquisition. |
Do not choose a profession only for its campsite buff. Profession camp objects can benefit other players at the campsite, and several imitate existing class buffs that do not stack with their class equivalent. Camp utility is valuable, but it is much less exclusive than Mining’s personal health bonus, Enchanting’s ring enchants, Mixology, or Engineering gadgets.
WoW Forever PvE Profession Tier List
| Tier | Professions | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Alchemy, Engineering | Strong direct combat value that remains relevant across many different encounters. |
| A | Enchanting, Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Mining | Strong personal enhancements, gearing potential, or survivability. |
| B | Leatherworking, Herbalism, Skinning* | Useful but more class-, recipe-, or encounter-dependent. |
Alchemy – S Tier PvE
Alchemy has one major advantage over gear professions: its value does not depend on one undiscovered level-60 armor recipe being Best in Slot.
Mixology improves the effect and duration of elixirs and flasks the Alchemist can make. Current beta class research points to a substantial improvement to those effects, which makes Alchemy directly relevant to raiding, dungeon pushing, parsing, and progression.
The profession also receives an upgradeable Philosopher’s Stone. We do not yet know whether its final version will compete with level-60 raid trinkets, so that should be treated as additional upside rather than the reason Alchemy is S Tier.
The repeat-consumable nature of Alchemy is its real strength: unlike a piece of crafted armor, the profession remains useful after every gear slot has been filled.
Engineering – S Tier PvE
Engineering does not receive a straightforward stat passive, yet that has rarely stopped it from becoming one of Classic WoW’s strongest performance professions.
Bombs, grenades, target dummies, mobility tools, unusual gadgets, and whatever new Forever recipes ultimately survive to launch can provide effects that ordinary equipment simply cannot replicate.
Current beta class research still places Engineering near the top because its value comes from additional buttons and encounter solutions, not merely a small stat increase.
There is one major caveat: the level-60 recipe set is still incomplete. Blizzard clearly has room to reduce some of Engineering’s old Classic dominance. Its S Tier placement therefore represents its current toolkit and design direction rather than a guarantee that every raid character will require Engineering at launch.
Enchanting – A Tier PvE
Enchanting now provides personal ring enchants with choices such as Spell Power, Attack Power, and Stamina across several ranks.
That makes the profession much easier to evaluate than a crafting profession depending completely on future armor drops: a personal enhancement is always useful if its numbers remain competitive.
Enchanting also naturally works well with Tailoring and other crafting professions because unwanted crafted items can be converted into enchanting materials.
It currently remains A rather than S because the final rank values are still unknown.
Tailoring – A Tier PvE
Tailoring is no longer interesting only because Mages, Priests, and Warlocks need cloth gear.
Forever adds profession-specific embroidery with multiple stat options and tiers, alongside a much larger pool of crafted leveling gear and additional cloth acquisition.
If max-rank embroidery is particularly strong, Tailoring could become one of the preferred endgame professions for cloth casters. Until those numbers are exposed, A Tier is the safer placement.
Blacksmithing – A Tier PvE
Blacksmithing receives Belt Buckles that provide additional stats, new and reworked crafted gear, and the ability to repair your equipment yourself.
The biggest unknown is not the buckle — it is the level-60 gear catalogue.
If Blacksmithing receives profession-exclusive pre-BiS or BiS-quality weapons, shields, or armor, its PvE value could rise sharply for plate and weapon users. The current beta already shows Blizzard placing much more emphasis on meaningful crafted progression than original Vanilla did.
Mining – A Tier PvE, S Tier for Many Tanks
Mining’s 5% increased total health is one of the easiest profession bonuses in Forever to understand.
It does not increase DPS, but percentage-based maximum health becomes more meaningful as gear improves. For tanks, progression encounters, and players whose job is simply to survive lethal mechanics, that can be extremely valuable.
For a pure DPS character, Mining is less attractive than a direct damage-enhancing crafting profession. For many tanks, however, it can reasonably be treated as S Tier.
Leatherworking – B Tier PvE
Leatherworking has considerably more personal value than in original Vanilla thanks to bracer enhancements, armor kits, bags, crafted gear, and other additions.
The problem is uncertainty. Its final position depends heavily on the strength of those enhancements and the level-60 leather/mail gear recipes Blizzard releases.
It could move upward for specific classes, but there is not enough evidence yet to rank it alongside the more broadly useful PvE professions.
Herbalism – B Tier PvE
Herbalism’s personal magic resistance is defensive rather than throughput-focused.
That is not useless. Resistance can become extremely valuable in encounters dominated by magical damage, and it may be more useful during early progression than a small offensive gain.
However, its primary strength remains economic: supplying herbs to Alchemy and the wider crafting economy.
Skinning – B Tier Normally, Potential S Tier in the Right Raid
Skinning is almost impossible to rank with one letter.
The current profession bonus provides 5% additional damage against Beasts and Dragonkin. Five percent is large enough to completely change profession optimization whenever the bonus applies.
If a future raid contains mostly Beasts or Dragonkin, Skinning could become one of the strongest damage professions for that content.
If the raid contains neither, the combat passive contributes nothing.
Unique meta risk: Skinning could become the profession most likely to move between tiers from raid to raid. Do not treat its B Tier placement as permanent. Creature type matters more for Skinning than it does for any other primary profession.
WoW Forever PvP Profession Tier List
| Tier | Professions | PvP Value |
|---|---|---|
| S | Engineering, Mining | Unique active utility or a major universal survivability increase. |
| A | Alchemy, Herbalism, Enchanting | Strong consumable, resistance, or personal stat advantages. |
| B | Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking | Useful enhancements and crafted equipment, but final values remain unclear. |
| D | Skinning | Its main damage perk targets PvE creature types rather than enemy players. |
Engineering – S Tier PvP
Engineering remains the profession with the highest PvP ceiling because it changes what your character can actually do.
Grenades and bombs can add damage or control. Gadgets can provide movement, defensive tricks, unusual utility, or ways to create an advantage that is unavailable inside your normal class toolkit.
That flexibility is extremely valuable in Classic-style PvP, where one additional stun, slow, escape, or burst opportunity can decide a fight.
New Forever Engineering recipes are still being discovered, so the exact best tools may change. The broader reason for Engineering’s S Tier position does not: unique active effects are usually more strategically valuable than another passive stat bonus.
Mining – S Tier PvP
Mining may be the biggest surprise of the new profession system.
The profession’s current passive increases total health by 5%.
Maximum health has always been unusually important in Classic PvP because surviving one additional burst sequence can provide time for a heal, potion, crowd-control chain, escape, or counterattack.
Unlike Skinning, Mining’s benefit does not care what class attacks you. It works against physical damage, spells, DoTs, pets, burst, and everything else that reduces your health bar.
That makes Engineering + Mining one of the strongest current PvP combinations.
Alchemy – A Tier PvP
Alchemy brings improved and longer-lasting elixirs and flasks together with its profession-specific trinket progression.
Its exact value changes depending on the type of PvP being played and what consumables are permitted or practical, so it is less universally dominant than Engineering.
For open-world PvP and prolonged battleground sessions, however, stronger personal consumables can create meaningful value — especially for players who already intend to maintain buffs consistently.
Herbalism – A Tier PvP
Herbalism’s Natural Talent provides resistance across magic schools, scaling with profession skill.
That is much more interesting in PvP than it initially sounds.
Mages, Warlocks, Priests, Shamans, Druids, Paladins, and other classes all bring meaningful magical damage or control. A broadly applicable resistance bonus can therefore contribute in many different matchups instead of only protecting against one damage school.
Herbalism also pairs naturally with Alchemy, creating a combination with both defensive and consumable value.
Enchanting – A Tier PvP
Enchanting offers personal ring enhancements including offensive stats and Stamina.
The ability to choose between pressure and survivability gives it obvious PvP potential, although its final tier depends on how large the max-rank enchants become.
If the Stamina option scales aggressively, Enchanting could become even more attractive for PvP-focused characters.
Tailoring, Blacksmithing and Leatherworking – B Tier PvP
All three crafting professions now have enough personal enhancements and crafted gear to matter, but we do not yet have the final level-60 numbers required to separate them confidently.
Tailoring has embroidery. Blacksmithing has Belt Buckles. Leatherworking has bracer enhancements and armor kits. Any of these could rise if the final PvP-oriented stat packages or profession-exclusive gear turn out exceptionally strong.
Skinning – D Tier PvP
Skinning’s main combat perk is simply aimed at the wrong target type for player-versus-player combat.
A damage increase against Beasts and Dragonkin is excellent when those enemies matter in PvE, but it offers almost no general advantage when fighting another player.
Skinning remains useful for money and Leatherworking supply. It just should not currently be selected because of PvP performance.
WoW Forever Goldmaking Profession Tier List
| Tier | Professions | Goldmaking Profile |
|---|---|---|
| S | Herbalism, Mining, Alchemy, Enchanting | Broad demand, repeat consumption, or strong material markets. |
| A | Skinning, Tailoring | Strong leveling income and useful repeat markets, but more dependent on demand. |
| B | Blacksmithing, Leatherworking | High upside from rare recipes but higher leveling cost and gear-market risk. |
| C | Engineering | Exceptional personal utility but often consumes more materials than it generates in profit. |
Herbalism – S Tier Goldmaking
Herbalism is one of the safest launch-economy professions because it requires very little initial capital.
You gather resources while leveling and sell them directly instead of buying materials first and hoping the finished product retains a margin.
Herbs also feed one of the most consistently consumed markets in World of Warcraft: Alchemy.
Forever expands profession interdependence further, meaning herbs are not restricted to the same narrow collection of recipes players remember from Vanilla.
For a fresh server economy, that combination of low startup cost and broad material demand makes Herbalism S Tier.
Mining – S Tier Goldmaking
Mining has an even wider customer base than many players initially expect.
Current Forever recipes use mined materials in Blacksmithing, Engineering, Enchanting, and Tailoring, and that demand sits on top of the traditional market for ores, bars, stones, and rare mining materials.
Mining also requires essentially no crafting investment before materials can be sold.
This makes it particularly strong during launch, when thousands of players are simultaneously trying to level expensive crafting professions.
The main downside is keeping Mining skill aligned with your leveling route. If you rush through zones faster than you mine, you can reach higher-tier nodes before your profession skill is ready for them.
Alchemy – S Tier Goldmaking
Alchemy loses one piece of traditional Vanilla income in Forever: Healing Potions are now made with First Aid.
That matters — but it does not destroy Alchemy’s economy.
Flasks, elixirs, mana-related consumables, transmutations, specialized recipes, and endgame raid demand still give Alchemy one of the strongest repeat-customer models among crafting professions.
Unlike armor, consumables disappear when players use them. A raider who bought an item from a Blacksmith may not need another upgrade for weeks; a serious raider can continue consuming Alchemy products every raid night.
That repeat demand is why Alchemy remains S Tier despite losing Healing Potions to First Aid.
Enchanting – S Tier Goldmaking, Especially Later
Enchanting is much harder to level cheaply than Herbalism or Mining, but its long-term economy is powerful.
Every time players replace equipment, they create new demand for enchants. Enchanters also convert unwanted Uncommon, Rare, and Epic items into materials rather than simply vendoring them.
Forever adds many new recipes and makes the profession itself more important through personal ring enchants and additional crafted items.
Enchanting therefore has two economies at once: material generation through disenchanting and demand for finished enchants.
Expect its relative strength to improve as players reach endgame and replace gear more frequently.
Skinning – A Tier Goldmaking
Skinning is one of the easiest gathering professions to operate while leveling because the resources come from enemies players are already killing.
It also avoids one inconvenience shared by Herbalism and Mining: you do not need to constantly choose which node type to track on the minimap.
Leatherworking provides the main material sink, so Skinning does not have Mining’s extremely broad customer base, but its near-zero startup cost keeps it comfortably in A Tier.
Tailoring – A Tier Goldmaking
Tailoring has a strong early economy because cloth comes naturally from humanoid enemies and the profession can produce bags, one of the most universally desirable quality-of-life purchases during a fresh launch.
Forever also gives Tailors additional cloth acquisition and a much larger set of relevant crafted items.
Its profitability will eventually depend on recipe availability and competition, but it has more than enough early and midgame demand to remain A Tier.
Blacksmithing – B Tier Goldmaking
Blacksmithing has high potential and high risk.
Weapons, armor, shields, Belt Buckles, and rare recipes can become extremely profitable if you are among the first players on the server capable of producing a desirable item.
But leveling the profession also consumes enormous amounts of ore that could otherwise be sold directly.
For the average player, Blacksmithing is more likely to cost gold before it makes gold. A rare endgame recipe can change that instantly, but that is not reliable enough for an S or A ranking.
Leatherworking – B Tier Goldmaking
Leatherworking has the same basic problem as Blacksmithing: a large portion of its potential profit depends on which crafted items become desirable at endgame.
Bags, armor kits, enhancements, armor and other useful items provide several markets, but the profession must compete with dropped gear and other crafters.
Pairing it with Skinning reduces the cost dramatically, making the combination much more attractive than leveling Leatherworking entirely from Auction House materials.
Engineering – C Tier Goldmaking
Engineering is an excellent example of why this article needs three separate tier lists.
It is S Tier for PvP and one of our strongest current PvE professions — yet one of the weakest choices if the only objective is profit.
Engineering consumes large amounts of mined materials and much of its value comes from gadgets and effects the Engineer wants personally.
There will certainly be saleable ammunition, equipment, materials, gadgets, and desirable recipes, but it is difficult to justify Engineering over Mining, Herbalism, Alchemy, or Enchanting for a character created specifically to make gold.
Best Profession Combinations in WoW Forever
A profession rarely exists in isolation. Since characters can choose two primary professions, the combination often matters more than the individual ranking.
| Goal | Recommended Combination | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Competitive PvP | Engineering + Mining | Engineering provides active utility while Mining adds 5% total health. |
| Maximum PvE Utility | Engineering + Alchemy | Unique gadgets combined with improved raid consumables and Mixology. |
| Tank Main | Mining + Engineering | Percentage-based health plus emergency and encounter utility. |
| Self-Sufficient Plate User | Mining + Blacksmithing | Gather your own ore and craft weapons, armor and Belt Buckles. |
| Leather/Mail Progression | Skinning + Leatherworking | Natural material pipeline and useful crafted leveling equipment. |
| Consumables | Herbalism + Alchemy | Gather the core materials needed for your own Alchemy production. |
| Cloth Caster | Tailoring + Enchanting | Craft cloth gear, use embroidery, and disenchant unwanted crafted pieces. |
| Low-Investment Gold | Herbalism + Mining | Two high-demand resource markets with almost no crafting investment. |
| Easy Leveling Gold | Herbalism + Skinning | Gather herbs while Skinning enemies you already kill without switching resource tracking. |
Should You Start With Two Gathering Professions?
For players whose first goal is buying skills, mounts, gear, consumables, and other launch expenses, double gathering is one of the safest strategies available.
Gathering professions require little capital, and fresh-server crafting demand usually creates immediate buyers for raw materials.
Herbalism + Mining has the broadest demand, but there is an inconvenience: both use minimap resource tracking, so players may need to switch between herb and ore tracking.
Herbalism + Skinning sacrifices some of Mining’s demand but creates a smoother leveling loop because Skinning naturally happens after killing suitable mobs.
The tradeoff is personal power. Forever’s crafting professions now offer meaningful player-specific benefits and even useful BoP progression items while leveling. Starting with double gathering maximizes liquidity, not necessarily character strength.
A common long-term strategy will therefore be:
- Level with one or two gathering professions.
- Build enough gold and stockpile materials.
- Drop one gathering profession later.
- Power-level the crafting profession needed for PvE or PvP endgame.
Whether that is worth doing will depend heavily on how valuable profession-exclusive level-60 items become.
First Aid Changes the Alchemy Economy
One of the most important profession changes in Forever is easy to miss because First Aid is not a primary profession.
Healing Potions have moved from Alchemy into First Aid.
First Aid can currently craft the familiar progression from Minor and Lesser Healing Potions through Healing, Greater, Superior, and Major Healing Potions. It also receives new crafted tools for removing diseases and bleeds.
This has two major consequences.
First, every serious character has a reason to level First Aid because doing so does not consume one of the two primary profession slots.
Second, Alchemy no longer controls one of the most reliable low-level potion markets.
That is why our goldmaking ranking values Alchemy primarily for elixirs, flasks, specialized consumables, transmutations and endgame demand rather than simply assuming the Vanilla potion economy survives unchanged.
Do not skip secondary professions. Cooking, First Aid, and Fishing can all be learned alongside your two primary professions. There is little reason to evaluate them against Engineering, Alchemy, Mining, or other primary choices because they do not compete for the same profession slots.
How Camping Changes Profession Value
Every profession can contribute special objects to a campsite.
Depending on the profession and object, these can provide buffs, vendors, repairs, profession workspaces, material-related utility, or other effects for players using the camp.
Examples include:
- Herbalism: Intellect-style campsite buff and later herb-related utility.
- Mining: melee Attack Power-style buff and mining-related camp upgrades.
- Blacksmithing: offensive camp enhancement and later crafting access.
- Tailoring: Spirit-style buff and Tailoring workspaces.
- Engineering: reagent vendors, repair services, and Engineering workspaces.
- Skinning: critical strike and Beast-tracking utility.
- Leatherworking: rested-experience and crafting utility.
- Enchanting: defensive/stat-related buffs and disenchanting/crafting utility.
- Alchemy: mana regeneration and Alchemy workspace functions.
However, campsite bonuses should not be confused with an exclusive profession passive.
Other players can benefit from objects placed at the camp, and several camp buffs intentionally duplicate familiar class effects rather than stacking on top of them.
For tier-list purposes, that means we give far more weight to things such as Mining’s personal health bonus, Mixology, personal ring enchants, Skinning’s creature-type damage, embroidery, Belt Buckles, and Engineering gadgets.
Professions and the Legacy System
Professions also interact with WoW Forever’s Legacy system.
Progressing professions can earn Legacy Points, and the profession branch of Legacy contains perks that improve the profession experience itself.
Current examples include improved opportunities to gain profession skill and increased amounts of scarce materials gathered through Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning.
This reinforces gathering as a long-term economic activity rather than something players necessarily abandon immediately after reaching level 60.
It also means today’s raw material yield should not be assumed to represent the final efficiency of a fully progressed Forever character.
The Biggest Profession Winners in WoW Forever
Best Overall PvP Profession: Engineering
No other profession currently offers the same breadth of active combat tools. Mining comes close because 5% total health is universally strong, but Engineering can create entirely new tactical options.
Best Defensive Profession: Mining
Five percent maximum health scales with your character and works in every damage matchup. Tanks and PvP players have the clearest reason to value it.
Best Consumable Profession: Alchemy
Mixology and persistent demand for raid consumables keep Alchemy near the top even after Healing Potions moved to First Aid.
Best Early Gold Profession: Herbalism
Herbalism has minimal startup cost, materials required by highly active crafting markets, and natural access to resources throughout the leveling journey.
Best Sleeper Profession: Skinning
Most tier lists will naturally place Skinning below the universal combat professions. But a flat 5% damage bonus against two creature families is enormous whenever the relevant raid or dungeon actually contains them.
Skinning is therefore the profession most capable of suddenly jumping from an ordinary choice to encounter-specific meta.
What Could Change Before WoW Forever Launch?
Profession rankings are currently less settled than class rankings because the beta has not exposed the full endgame.
The most important unanswered questions are:
- How strong will the final ranks of profession-exclusive enhancements be?
- Which crafted items will be Bind on Pickup rather than tradeable?
- Will level-60 raids contain profession-exclusive BiS or near-BiS gear?
- Which rare recipes will come from dungeons and raids?
- How much combat power will final Engineering gadgets provide?
- How valuable will the fully upgraded Philosopher’s Stone become?
- Which raids contain enough Beasts or Dragonkin to dramatically increase Skinning’s value?
- How profitable will finished goods remain once the server economy matures?
This is particularly important for Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Tailoring. A single powerful profession-exclusive endgame recipe can move one of those professions an entire tier for a specific class.
For now, professions with benefits that are already clear and broadly applicable — such as Engineering, Alchemy, Mining, Herbalism, and Enchanting — are easier to rank with confidence.
Which Profession Should You Choose in WoW Forever?
Your best profession combination depends on what you actually intend to do.
If PvP is the priority, Engineering + Mining currently offers the clearest combination of tactical utility and raw survivability.
If you want to push PvE, Alchemy and Engineering have the strongest broadly applicable cases right now, while class-specific crafting professions may rise once the complete level-60 itemization is available.
If the goal is simply to make gold, starting with Herbalism, Mining, or another gathering profession avoids the massive material costs associated with power-leveling a crafting trade. Alchemy and Enchanting become increasingly attractive as the endgame economy develops.
And if you prefer self-sufficiency over pure optimization, Forever finally gives combinations such as Mining + Blacksmithing, Skinning + Leatherworking, Herbalism + Alchemy, and Tailoring + Enchanting enough character progression to feel meaningful while leveling.
The key difference from old Vanilla profession advice is that there is no longer one correct answer for every character.
WoW Forever is turning professions into part of your build. The best choice now depends on whether that build is meant to survive, raid, PvP, craft, or make gold.
