Keep Intermediate Crafts Until You Finish
The main thing to know before you start profession leveling:
- Some items crafted during the early steps are needed again later. Bars, bolts, cured hides, grinding stones, blasting powder, and Enchanting rods may become materials or tools for another part of the route.
- Do not sell, discard, or disenchant anything marked Keep for Later. Enchanting routes may also tell you to disenchant a specific item, so follow that instruction instead of choosing items yourself.
- After an item is no longer required by the route, you can keep, use, sell, or disenchant it. The Enchanting route shows this clearly with Runed Rods and recipe-specific materials.

Which Professions Can Use a Material Kit?
Material Kits are designed for crafting professions from the list:
- Alchemy
- Blacksmithing
- Engineering
- Leatherworking
- Tailoring
- Enchanting
You can also order a kit for two secondary professions — Cooking and First Aid. Each kit covers one profession and the selected skill range. Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, and Fishing are not supported because they require active gathering rather than supplied materials. Only options listed in the configurator are available.
Why Material Quantities Can Vary
Profession skill-ups are not equally predictable. Orange recipes grant a skill point, while yellow and green recipes can require several crafts. Two characters covering the same skill range may therefore consume different amounts of materials.
Each kit follows a profession-specific route and includes the listed materials plus the approved buffer. Use the recipes in the provided order. Switching to another recipe changes the required quantities.
