ARC Raiders has 100 Furniture Designs in Frozen Trail. They unlock craftable objects for your Outpost, not weapon recipes. To complete the collection, you need to combine Topside scavenging, Outpost upgrades, Frozen Trail Reward Pass claims, and the Collector Set DLC. Farming more containers will not replace the last three routes.
The useful part is not just decorating: weapon racks, shelves, wardrobes and other pieces can display or hold certain items outside your normal Stash. This guide explains how to find Designs, learn or research them, choose furniture that helps your inventory, and avoid the common mistakes in Update 2.2. It also explains which information is confirmed and which item-specific locations still need in-game checking.
How to Get All 100 Furniture Designs in ARC Raiders
Embark Studios published the official source split with the October 8 Frozen Trail update. Treat these as four different collection goals, rather than four interchangeable loot routes.
| Furniture Design source | Official count | What you should do | Important limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Topside scavenging | 73 | Search containers during raids, then extract with unlearned Designs. Start with the loot categories near your next objective. | No verified universal design drop rate or guaranteed container. |
| Outpost upgrades | 22 | Finish Sheltered Retreat and expand the Outpost modules; check which furniture becomes available after each upgrade. | Do not spend more raids chasing items unlocked by progression. |
| Frozen Trail Reward Pass | 4 | Select the Frozen Trail Pass and claim its furniture rewards as you unlock their tiers. | Reward Pass progression and normal raid loot are separate systems. |
| Collector Set DLC | 1 | The Retro Sofa is the DLC-specific design. | A collector without this DLC should not expect a Topside-only 100/100 completion. |
These totals come from the official Frozen Trail 2.0 patch notes. They add up to 100, but Embark has not supplied a public design-by-design drop-rate table. For a particular named object, use its in-game source or the current community Design tracker to compare possible routes; third-party catalogs can overlap and change after patches.
Unlock the Outpost Before Farming Furniture
If you have not opened the Outpost yet, unlocking the base is the first prerequisite. Neither option below sells or guarantees all 100 Furniture Designs.
How to Unlock, Learn and Place Furniture
Designs work like blueprints, but they unlock furniture crafting. Finding the design, learning the design, and placing the finished object are separate actions:
- Open the Outpost. Complete Sheltered Retreat. This is a project prerequisite, not a collectible design drop.
- Check the source of your target Design. It may be Topside loot, an Outpost progress unlock, a Pass reward, or DLC. Community research listings can show additional research paths for individual designs; check the current Research Station screen.
- Bring a looted Design home. Once you have extracted, use the inventory’s Learn and Consume action on an unlearned design. Do not confuse a Design with its crafted furniture piece.
- Review the furniture recipe. Learning a design does not grant the materials or a free finished item. Check what the specific piece costs, including furniture and construction materials.
- Craft and place the item. Use the Outpost decorating view, select an available furnishing position and check whether the finished piece has compatible display or storage slots.
Check the item description before deleting a duplicate: learning a design unlocks the recipe, but acquiring the same already-known Design again is not another furniture upgrade. If you are uncertain whether it has been learned, verify the marker in the current inventory before selling.
Furniture Design, Weapon Blueprint or Weapon Stencil?
| Item | Unlocks | Where you use it |
|---|---|---|
| Furniture Design | An Outpost furniture recipe or furnishing unlock | Outpost crafting and decoration |
| Weapon or item blueprint | A craftable equipment or consumable recipe | Correct Workshop station and required materials |
| Weapon Stencil | Cosmetic pattern for compatible weapons | Weapon customization; applying a Stencil uses Stencil Parts |
| Finished furniture | A physical decoration or storage/display object | Placed inside a valid Outpost furniture slot |
Need to understand equipment blueprints rather than furniture? Our All ARC Raiders Blueprints guide tracks those separately. Outpost Furniture Designs are not included in its 91-equipment-blueprint total.
Which Furniture Designs Should You Collect First?
For most players, useful storage pieces come before a matching aesthetic set. Extra displays can free part of your main Stash for loot you regularly use, but only where the furniture accepts that item type. The standard Stash size does not increase just because you place a rack.
| Your priority | Furniture worth inspecting first | Decision before crafting |
|---|---|---|
| Store spare guns | Battered, Sturdy and Polished Weapon Racks | Check weapon-compatible positions and the room slot you must give up. |
| Keep trinkets and smaller finds | Chambers Shelf, Den Shelves, other shelves and cabinets | Look at accepted item categories; not every cabinet accepts every material. |
| Use soft furnishing slots | Select sofas, armchairs and decorative seating | Some pieces have limited compatible cushion or pillow placements; do not assume general storage. |
| Decorate a room cheaply | Common tables, stools, lamps and basic seating | Compare material cost against the next Outpost room or Research Station upgrade. |
| Complete the collection | Rare and Epic designs, Pass rewards, the Retro Sofa | Switch from random farming to source-by-source missing-item tracking. |
Weapon Racks and Shelves: Storage Capacity Examples
Furniture storage has its own item rules and can compete for desirable room positions. The following are community-reported examples from October 2026, not universal capacity bonuses or a promise that every future patch will leave values unchanged. Inspect the selected object in-game before spending materials.
| Furniture piece | Reported compatible storage / slots | Practical use |
|---|---|---|
| Battered Weapon Rack | Up to 3 weapon positions | Early display option for spare weapons. |
| Sturdy Weapon Rack | Up to 4 weapon positions | Compare its room footprint and crafting cost with the battered version. |
| Polished Weapon Rack | Up to 4 weapon positions | Higher visual finish; not necessarily more space than Sturdy. |
| Chambers Shelf | Up to 12 eligible item slots | Useful if the item types you want to keep are accepted. |
| Battered Den Shelf | Up to 2 eligible item slots | Accessible starter storage for small displays. |
| Sturdy / Polished / Ornate Den Shelf | Reported 3 / 6 / 7 eligible slots | Consider material cost and where each shelf may be placed. |
These examples are summarized from an independent furniture guide and recent player discussion. Actual storage is item-restricted. A full general-purpose Stash and several Outpost display slots are not the same thing: an available furniture slot may only accept weapons, trinkets or specific types of decorations. If you cannot place an item, check compatibility before assuming the furniture is broken.
Research Station: An Alternative to Random Loot
The Research Station offers research options for certain furniture Designs. This is useful when the desired object appears in your available research list and you would rather invest Research Points and materials than keep looting for a random find. Not all 100 Designs are researchable. Requirements shown by a community tracker should be verified against your own current Outpost screen.
| Design example | Community-listed research gate | What this means |
|---|---|---|
| Barstool | Research Station I; 500 Research Points; 15 Metal Parts | A common seating design can be a low-level research choice. |
| Battered Bureau Chair | Research Station I; 500 Research Points; 3 Mechanical Components | Useful example of a different material requirement at the same station level. |
| Battered Bureau Sofa | Research Station II; 1,000 Research Points; 1 Very Comfortable Pillow | A higher bench level and unusual component can be the true bottleneck. |
| Sturdy Faculty Chair | Research Station III; 1,500 Research Points; 1 Radial Press | Some furniture designs depend on rarer materials rather than raid drop luck. |
| Sturdy Shelf | Research Station II; 1,000 Research Points; 1 Rusted Bolts | Check a practical storage design before using scarce RP on decor. |
These specific figures are from the current RaiderBuddy Design tracker, not a published Embark design-cost table. They describe the research unlock; crafting the finished furniture may require a separate material recipe. If your game displays different costs, follow the game. For Research Station I-IV materials and Outpost prerequisites, use our Outpost & Research Station Guide.
Best Places to Farm the 73 Topside Furniture Designs
For random Topside designs, prioritize searchable residential and ordinary scavenging containers on maps you can survive, not a supposed guaranteed chest. Residential interiors are a sensible first check, but the official update does not establish a fixed map-by-map drop rate for each design. Choose the loot category and extraction route you actually have.
| Farming situation | Recommended action | When to leave |
|---|---|---|
| You know a compact residential area | Search a close group of houses, rooms and containers. On Pendola Pass, Old Town offers a recognizable residential starting point. | Extract with a new unlearned Design rather than extending into a dangerous distant area. |
| Your usual route mixes residential and industrial loot | Use one primary residential cluster and one optional detour that also supplies furniture materials. | Leave when the extra loop becomes riskier than its expected utility. |
| You are on Pendola Pass | Check Dynamic Loot Zone value and adjust the first stop instead of relying on an unchanging loot loop. | Take the current practical exit, including Ballistic Gondola only when your route and situation support it. |
| You need a specific named item | Check whether it is actually a project, Reward Pass, DLC or research unlock before assuming it drops in your current raid. | Stop random farming if the required unlock belongs to another system. |
A Three-Stop Design Farming Loop
- Source check: choose an unlearned Design and determine whether it is eligible to be found Topside. Make sure you are not trying to loot a Pass or Outpost progression reward.
- Primary and backup interiors: search a short residential cluster and a second compatible container group only if your inventory and raid situation justify it. On Pendola Pass, adapt to Dynamic Loot Zones.
- Extraction over greed: once you find a new Design, put survival first. Learn it in Speranza, then move to the next missing design instead of repeating a route with no confirmed item-specific odds.
There is no official universal “best chance per locker” or “all 73 in one map” shortcut. For geography and safe exits, refer to our ARC Raiders Map & Extraction Guide. For the supplies you need after unlocking a design, see the Resource Gathering Routes guide.
Completing the Collection Without Wasting Your Time
The fastest practical path is not collecting everything in alphabetic order. Separate fixed unlocks from random loot, and prioritize storage that improves future raids.
| Collection task | What to verify | Next move |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Outpost project | Sheltered Retreat claimed and decorating access unlocked | Complete the project before trying to craft furniture. |
| 2. Progression designs | All Outpost expansion rewards and module unlocks inspected | Finish missing Outpost upgrades rather than searching Topside. |
| 3. Reward Pass | Frozen Trail is the active pass and furniture reward tiers have been claimed | Earn Reward Points through Feats or switch the active pass if needed. |
| 4. Topside designs | Known/unknown recipe mark and your chosen map route | Research those available at the bench; scavenge the remaining designs. |
| 5. DLC exclusive | Collector Set ownership and the Retro Sofa | Do not count on a raid to replace the DLC reward. |
| 6. Practical furniture | Which pieces accept the items you store most | Build useful racks and shelves before expensive cosmetic duplicates. |
Design Categories: A Simple Checklist
The community collection tracker groups the 100 entries into six furniture categories. Use these counts as a progress organizer, not as a claim that all designs have the same source or can be researched at the same bench.
| Category | Tracker entries | Examples of pieces |
|---|---|---|
| Seating | 33 | Stools, chairs, armchairs, sofas |
| Storage | 30 | Shelves, cabinets, wardrobes, dressers and Stashes |
| Tables | 12 | Restaurant and Faculty tables, nightstands and other tables |
| Beds | 4 | Battered, Sturdy, Polished and Ornate Den Beds |
| Lighting | 10 | Ceiling lamps, floor lamps, work lights |
| Decoration | 11 | Weapon racks, Study Piano, plants and miscellaneous decor |
The category count comes from a community tracker; use its per-design names only as a cross-check. Community indexes have inconsistencies for certain individual names and alternative acquisition routes, so treat the in-game learned list and official source totals as the final collection authority. If two external lists disagree, do not sell an unlearned item or buy a new product based solely on an unofficial entry.
Furniture Materials, Research Points and Placement Problems
Celeste trades materials relevant to furniture and new gameplay items, as stated in the official Frozen Trail notes. The costs for building a room, researching a Design and crafting a piece are not the same; open the specific screen for your next objective before committing materials. For most players, finishing a needed Outpost room takes priority over crafting multiple expensive decorations that use the same supplies.
Craft the Furniture You Actually Need
Once a Design is learned, the remaining problem is often crafting materials. Choose a resource option that matches the in-game recipe, or farm it yourself.
What to Do When Furniture Will Not Place or Open
| Problem | First check | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot find a furniture recipe | Confirm the Design is learned, not merely carried, and that the appropriate Outpost/crafting view is open. | A missing decoration is not necessarily a lost blueprint. |
| A furniture slot seems blocked | Move or inspect nearby furniture and look for an overlapping hitbox or object. | Do not assume the locked position means you need to rebuy the Design. |
| The camera hides a slot or shows a wall | Retry the Inspect/Decorate view and the current camera controls. Update 2.2 adjusted cursor rotation and camera occlusion. | Do not rely on old pre-2.2 controls. |
| A storage object rejects your item | Inspect the accepted item categories and remaining item-specific positions. | Furniture is not a universal overflow Stash. |
| A Design seems unavailable in loot | Check whether it is a Pass, Outpost, DLC or research unlock instead of a Topside drop. | Do not assume changing maps solves a non-loot unlock. |
Embark corrected several Outpost camera and decorating issues in Update 2.2.0, including problems around the Inspect/Decorate camera. These fixes do not establish that all clipping or blocked-slot reports are gone. If an item cannot be accessed, avoid installing more furniture around the blocked area until you understand the placement.
ARC Raiders Furniture Designs FAQ
How many Furniture Designs are in ARC Raiders?
Frozen Trail added 100: 73 from Topside, 22 from Outpost upgrades, four from the Frozen Trail Reward Pass and one from DLC.
Can I find every Furniture Design in normal raids?
No. The official distribution includes Outpost progression, Reward Pass and DLC sources that should not be treated as normal random container drops.
Can I get the Retro Sofa without the Collector Set DLC?
The official source breakdown assigns one Design to DLC; community indexes identify it as the Retro Sofa. Do not plan on ordinary scavenging as a replacement source.
Do Furniture Designs increase my main Stash size?
Not directly. Certain finished furniture pieces provide their own compatible item or display slots. They do not change the normal Stash upgrade cap simply by being placed.
What furniture is best for storing spare weapons?
Weapon Racks are the most direct option because they accept weapons. Compare Battered, Sturdy and Polished versions by the positions available and their real crafting costs rather than their rarity alone.
Can I research Furniture Designs instead of looting them?
Some can be researched at the Research Station, using Research Points and required materials. Check your currently available research projects: not every one of the 100 has this option.
Are Furniture Designs the same as the 91 crafting blueprints?
No. The 91-item crafting list covers equipment-related blueprints. Outpost furniture Designs and Weapon Stencils are separate collections.
Where should I farm Topside Furniture Designs?
Start with residential or mixed-loot container clusters near an extract route you know. Pendola Pass Old Town is a reasonable residential example, but no official rate makes it the best source for every specific Design.
What if I find a Furniture Design that I already learned?
Check its learned marker before selling or discarding it. An already-known recipe does not give you an additional permanent unlock. Never accidentally sell one you still need.
Does the Frozen Trail Pass have to be active for furniture rewards?
Reward Points are applied to the selected active pass, so choose the Frozen Trail Pass when working toward its rewards. Claiming a furniture reward is separate from simply completing a Topside loot run.
Why are some furniture slots unusable?
First check the room position, overlapping furniture and accepted item categories. If the decorating camera behaves strangely, use the current post-2.2 controls. Some Outpost placement issues were reported even after the initial launch.
What to Do Next
If your Outpost is not unlocked, finish Sheltered Retreat and the Outpost upgrade path first. If your goal is a particular furniture piece, confirm whether it is a loot, project, Pass, DLC or Research Station unlock before spending hours farming. For storage-focused players, a practical weapon rack or shelf that accepts your current inventory is often worth more than a rare decoration you cannot yet place.
When you need to craft a learned Design, make a short list of only the missing materials and follow the Resource Gathering Routes guide. That keeps Furniture Designs a useful, separate collection without confusing them with weapon blueprints or mandatory combat progression.
