ARC Raiders Redirection Guide: Emperor Payloads & Conduit

ARC Raiders Redirection Guide artwork showing Raiders approaching an Emperor Harvester Payload on snowy Pendola Pass, surrounded by hostile ARC machines.

To farm Redirection in ARC Raiders, enter Pendola Pass while the Redirection map condition is active, search a live Damaged Emperor Relay for an Emperor Beacon, deploy the beacon under open sky, step away from falling debris and breach the large Harvester Payload that lands. That central payload can contain the Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint and three types of ARC Coupler. Extract the items, learn the blueprint and craft the key at Workbench I.

Redirection arrived with Frozen Trail Update 2.0 on October 8, 2026. This guide reflects the game state through Update 2.2 on October 20. It covers the repeatable payload-farming loop and the key you need to open the Fallen Emperor. Completing the dungeon inside the Emperor is a different, longer challenge.

Redirection Quick Guide: What Are You Farming?

The fastest way to waste a Redirection run is to confuse its three important objects. The Emperor Beacon calls the payload, the Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint teaches a crafting recipe, and the finished Emperor Gateway Conduit opens the Fallen Emperor entrance. They are not interchangeable.

Your GoalBest Next ActionWhat to Know
Farm Couplers or the blueprintPlay Redirection, take a Beacon from a live relay, call and breach a Harvester PayloadThe blueprint is a chance drop; a single payload is not a guaranteed full recipe
Craft the Emperor Gateway ConduitExtract with the blueprint and one of each ARC Coupler; use Workbench I in SperanzaYou cannot make the finished key at a field crafting station
Enter the Fallen EmperorBring a crafted Conduit to the socket at the Emperor’s base on Pendola PassThe key unlocks the entrance, not an automatic clear or extraction
Finish a quest around the EmperorCheck whether it is Sizing Things Up or Belly of the Beast in your quest logThe photo/reconnaissance tasks are not the same as the Redirection payload farm

Your first decision: if you only need the blueprint or one missing Coupler, keep the run short once that item is secured. If you already have the full key, do not spend another entire session farming relays unless you want spare crafting materials.

When and Where Is Redirection Active?

Redirection is exclusive to Pendola Pass. It is a rotating map condition, not a button that activates the event at any time. The condition card identifies active Emperor Relays and falling debris, and the normal Flash Freeze condition is not active during Redirection.

  1. Open the destination selection screen and choose Pendola Pass.
  2. Check that the Redirection condition is available for the session you are joining. Do not confuse it with ARC Frigate or an ordinary weather modifier.
  3. If you are planning ahead, check the official map-condition schedule for your selected server region; then confirm the condition again in the game before you queue.
  4. Once deployed, watch your map for a Damaged Emperor Relay to activate. Live relays can also send a red beam into the sky.

Some guides list fixed relay spawn points or exact clock times, but the active choices and condition rotation matter more than memorizing a screenshot. Schedules can shift with regional settings. If you do not see an active relay immediately, check whether it is still powering up rather than assuming the event is broken.

How to Call an Emperor Harvester Payload: Six Steps

The Redirection farm works best when you plan the landing zone and your escape before you touch the relay. The beam attracts attention, the impact hurts, and you still need to reach an extraction point afterward.

1. Find an active Damaged Emperor Relay

Look for an active relay marker on the map or the red light rising above a relay. Inactive relays are not the ones to chase. Approach from cover, listen for nearby fighting and check the route back to the rest of Pendola Pass before committing.

2. Search the relay for an Emperor Beacon

Interact with the relay and collect the Emperor Beacon. This is the portable signal device that pulls a Harvester Payload off its course. Picking up the Beacon alone does not spawn a payload and does not give you a Conduit key.

3. Choose a landing spot with open sky and nearby cover

The Beacon needs an open outdoor placement area. Do not try to deploy it under a roof or inside a building. Find ground where you can put the device down and still retreat behind solid cover as the drop begins. A spot next to a building is often safer than an empty field, but avoid routes where the falling debris or other Raiders can trap you.

4. Deploy the Beacon, then move clear

Place the Beacon and immediately leave the landing zone. Falling debris can damage your health and shield before the main payload settles. Wait behind cover until the impact is over, then watch for enemies or players drawn by the visible event. Do not stand beside the Beacon to watch the animation.

5. Breach the main Harvester Payload

Look for the large, upright payload container among the fallen debris. That is the high-priority container for the Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint and the distinct Couplers. Smaller pieces can yield other ARC scrap, but they are not a substitute for the main container. Secure its contents before you spend time searching minor debris.

6. Secure the useful drop and extract

If you find a blueprint you have not learned, put it in your Safe Pocket if your current augment supports one. Then protect the Coupler types you are missing. Keep track of how much time remains to reach a Ballistic Gondola; a full bag is not worth losing the one item that unblocks your next craft.

Already have another Emperor Beacon and enough time for another drop? You can make a second attempt in the same Redirection session. However, extracting with an unused Beacon turns it into a Ruined Emperor Beacon, which can no longer call payloads next time. Use the active signal when it is safe, or leave without counting that Beacon as progress.

Harvester Payload Loot: What to Keep and What to Ignore

For most players the blueprint is the bottleneck. Three Coupler types are needed for one crafted Conduit, and copies of the same type do not replace a missing type. Collect with a recipe in mind instead of taking every part indiscriminately.

Item or LootWhat It DoesKeep Priority
Emperor Gateway Conduit BlueprintUnlocks the permanent recipe for the crafted entrance keyHighest if you have not learned it; not guaranteed per payload
ARC Conductive CouplerOne of three different parts for Workbench I craftingKeep at least one for your next Conduit
ARC Insulated CouplerSecond distinct part for the keyKeep at least one; do not mistake it for Conductive
ARC Plated CouplerThird distinct part for the keyKeep at least one; duplicates of others will not complete the set
Small debris containersExtra ARC materials for other recipes and projectsSecondary: loot only when the main container and exit are secure
Emperor BeaconCalls the payload during the current Redirection raidDeploy during the raid when safe; an unused Beacon loses its signal on extraction

There is no confirmed fixed blueprint drop rate to plan around, and the large container can give materials without the schematic. If you have already learned the recipe, your next goal is one of each Coupler, not another blueprint. For the wider crafting collection, use the All ARC Raiders Blueprints guide.

Emperor Gateway Conduit Recipe: Craft the Key at Workbench I

Once you are back in Speranza, consume the blueprint to learn the Emperor Gateway Conduit recipe. You only need a Level 1 Workbench and these materials:

  • 1 ARC Conductive Coupler
  • 1 ARC Insulated Coupler
  • 1 ARC Plated Coupler

Open your Workbench recipe list, check that all three Coupler types are present, and craft one Emperor Gateway Conduit. You do not need an upgraded Research Station for this recipe, and the item should not be confused with the Beacon used to call payloads.

Where do you use the finished Conduit?

Take the crafted key into a Pendola Pass raid and head to the base of the Fallen Emperor. Find the Conduit socket by the sealed entrance and interact with it to open the way into the downed machine. This leads to a dungeon-style challenge with mechanical hazards and powerful ARC threats. The key gets you through the door; it does not clear the dungeon or save your loot.

For later runs, the learned recipe remains available, but you will need materials to craft another key. The Frozen Trail Premium Reward Pass also lists a completed Emperor Gateway Conduit as its final reward, which is an alternative to assembling your first key if you have that reward available. The premium reward gives the item itself, not the reusable blueprint.

What if the Blueprint Does Not Drop?

You can get several Harvester Payloads without seeing the Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint. That is bad luck, not proof that you placed the Beacon incorrectly. A more productive approach is to preserve the Couplers you already own and decide whether a second payload is worth the remaining raid time.

Alternative blueprint sources

The repeatable, well-documented route is the main Harvester Payload during Redirection. The Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint is also listed in community item data under ARC Surveyor, and players report finding it in looted Surveyor Vaults. Treat that as a useful alternate chance if you already encounter a Surveyor, not a guaranteed faster route. The Couplers and the official Redirection mechanic are still worth targeting when you need a complete key recipe.

Solo or Squad? A Safer Redirection Farming Plan

Solo: one payload, one valuable item, one exit

Enter with a loadout you can afford to lose and enough healing to survive the trip back. Use the map to choose a relay near cover and an accessible gondola route. After breaching the main payload, protect your rarest missing item and leave if other Raiders or ARC start closing in. Trying to chain every active relay makes sense only when the situation stays favorable.

Duo and trio: separate tasks before the beacon goes down

One Raider should handle the Beacon and payload interaction while another watches the approaches. During the debris impact, everyone stays behind cover, not clustered around the marker. Agree on who still needs which Coupler before opening the main container; random inventory transfers or a prolonged debate at the crash site waste the most dangerous seconds of the run.

When to abort the next payload

Leave when the desired blueprint is protected, the remaining raid time is short, the route to a Ballistic Gondola is contested, or your healing and ammunition are too low for another fight. A successfully opened payload is not the same as a successful run. Check the Pendola Pass extraction steps before accepting another risk.

Redirection, Sizing Things Up and Belly of the Beast: Do Not Mix Them Up

All three involve the Fallen Emperor, but they describe different player tasks:

  • Redirection is a map condition used for repeated payload farming and for collecting ingredients for the Emperor Gateway Conduit.
  • Sizing Things Up is Celeste’s reconnaissance quest involving photos and investigation of the Emperor, followed by retrieving an ARC Conductive Coupler from a buried payload. Follow your quest markers; it is not a replacement for learning the Conduit blueprint.
  • Belly of the Beast is Shani’s quest that sends you into the Fallen Emperor. It involves internal exploration and a unique item, not merely standing outside and calling down one Harvester Payload.

If you are farming for crafting, keep the Couplers needed for your recipe separate from any quest delivery requirements. If your objective is inside the Emperor, bring a Conduit and prepare for a dungeon run rather than stopping at the Redirection payload loop.

ARC Raiders Redirection FAQ

What is the Redirection condition in ARC Raiders?

It is a rotating Pendola Pass map condition introduced in Frozen Trail 2.0. Active Emperor Relays provide Beacons that can redirect Harvester Payloads to an open-air landing site chosen by the player.

Does Redirection appear on other maps?

No. The current map-condition listing restricts Redirection to Pendola Pass. Always check the current map selection screen before queuing.

How do I get an Emperor Beacon?

Search a live Damaged Emperor Relay during Redirection. Look for its active icon or red beam, then interact with the relay to collect the Beacon.

Why can I not deploy my Emperor Beacon?

The Beacon requires an open area. Move out from under overhead cover, identify a nearby safe retreat and try placing it on suitable ground.

Is the Emperor Gateway Conduit Blueprint guaranteed?

No. It is part of the main Harvester Payload loot pool, but a payload can contain ARC materials and Couplers without the blueprint. Multiple attempts may be needed.

Which Couplers craft the Emperor Gateway Conduit?

One ARC Conductive Coupler, one ARC Insulated Coupler and one ARC Plated Coupler. After you learn the blueprint, craft the key at Workbench I in Speranza.

Can I save an Emperor Beacon for another raid?

No. An unused Beacon becomes a Ruined Emperor Beacon after extraction and can no longer call a payload. The Couplers and blueprint are the items you want to take home.

Can the blueprint come from a Surveyor?

Community Wiki item data lists ARC Surveyor as an additional source, and there are player reports of blueprint finds in Surveyor Vaults. It is an alternative chance, not a fixed or guaranteed drop.

Do I need Redirection active to open the Fallen Emperor?

Redirection is the main farming route for the recipe and its Couplers. The finished Emperor Gateway Conduit is the item required at the Fallen Emperor entrance; check the current Pendola Pass conditions and your dungeon loadout when you are ready to enter.

How do I extract after farming an Emperor Payload?

Use Pendola Pass’s Ballistic Gondola system: activate a Gondola Transceiver, reach the marked landing area and board an available pod. Plan this before you spend your last minutes searching extra debris.

Redirection Run Checklist

  1. Confirm Pendola Pass has Redirection active; use the regional schedule only as a planning aid.
  2. Bring a loadout that can protect a rare schematic and survive a contested payload landing.
  3. Track an active relay, collect the Emperor Beacon and choose open ground near cover.
  4. Deploy the Beacon, escape falling debris and loot the large central Harvester Payload.
  5. Keep any unlearned blueprint and one each of the three ARC Couplers.
  6. Call a Ballistic Gondola and extract before the last unnecessary fight.
  7. Learn the blueprint and craft an Emperor Gateway Conduit at Workbench I for the separate Fallen Emperor objective.
