Feral Druid in WoW Forever is a hybrid melee specialization that improves both Cat Form damage and Bear Form tanking through the same talent tree. That makes Feral uniquely flexible: the same character can quest and deal melee damage in Cat Form, tank dungeon packs in Bear Form, shift out to heal, and provide utility such as Rebirth and Innervate when the group needs it.
Forever also changes several fundamentals that longtime Classic Feral players need to relearn. Cat and Bear attacks now scale with equipped weapon damage, traditional powershifting has been removed through the redesign of Furor, Omen of Clarity becomes baseline at level 20, and deeper Feral gains new tools including Mangle, King of the Jungle, Rend and Tear, Natural Reaction, and Berserk.
The current WoW Forever beta is capped at level 20. Bear Form is available from level 10, while Cat Form is only unlocked at level 20 through its class quest, so current Cat gameplay is not representative of the full level-60 specialization. This guide therefore separates tested level-20 gameplay from level-60 Cat, Bear, and PvP theorycraft.
Feral Druid at a Glance
Leveling a Feral Druid in WoW Forever
Feral starts differently from its level-60 identity: Bear Form arrives at level 10, while Cat Form is unlocked at level 20 through its class quest. The early game rewards flexible use of caster spells, Bear durability, weapon upgrades, and off-form healing.
- Use caster tools before Bear Form, then rely heavily on Bear from levels 10–19.
- Complete the level-20 Cat Form quest immediately and start learning Energy and Combo Point management.
- Keep your weapon current because Cat and Bear attacks now scale with equipped weapon DPS.
- Choose the exact target level you want, up to level 60.
- Skip repeated questing, travel, and dungeon grind.
- Return to the character at the level range you need for your next goal.
Best Feral Druid Talent Builds in WoW Forever
Best Level 20 Feral Druid Flex Build
At the current level-20 cap, Feral is still missing most of the abilities that define its endgame Cat rotation. A practical leveling build therefore focuses on talents that work in both Cat and Bear Form while also providing the mobility that makes Druid leveling much more comfortable.
| Talent | Points | Why Take It? |
|---|---|---|
| Ferocity | 5/5 | Reduces the Rage or Energy cost of several core Bear and Cat attacks, improving both tanking efficiency and Cat resource economy. |
| Feral Swiftness | 2/2 | Provides 30% movement speed in Cat Form and 4% Dodge, making it valuable for questing, travel, tanking, and PvP. |
| Heart of the Wild | 3/5 | Provides form-specific stat scaling and works whether you are dealing damage in Cat or tanking in Bear. |
| Feral Charge | 1/1 | Adds a Bear charge with an interrupt/root and a Cat leap, giving the spec one of its most important mobility tools. |
- ★ A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
- ★ A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.
Druid Feral Combat talent build — Balance 0, Feral Combat 11, Restoration 0.
0 / 11 / 0 Key talents: Feral Charge, Ferocity 5/5, Feral Swiftness 2/2, Heart of the Wild 3/5This is not necessarily the highest possible target-dummy DPS allocation at level 20. It is the stronger all-purpose Feral build because you can quest as Cat after unlocking it, tank dungeons in Bear, move faster between pulls, and continue naturally into the deeper Feral tree while leveling.
If you primarily tank dungeons, points from Heart of the Wild can be moved toward Feral Instinct for stronger Swipe-focused pack gameplay. If you only care about current-cap Cat damage, a more specialized allocation can also be justified. The beta is still too early to treat either variation as mandatory.
Cat Form at Level 20
Cat Form is unlocked at level 20 and requires completing the Cat Form class quest in Moonglade. This matters because much of the journey from levels 1–19 is not actually Cat leveling.
Before Cat Form:
- use Wrath and other caster abilities during the earliest levels;
- unlock Bear Form at level 10;
- use Bear for durable open-world combat and dungeon tanking;
- shift out to heal between pulls, allowing Mana to recover while you fight in Bear Form afterward;
- complete the Cat Form quest immediately at level 20.
Omen of Clarity also becomes a baseline passive at level 20, giving attacks and spells a chance to trigger Clearcasting and make the next eligible resource-cost ability free.
Legacy Talent Points While Leveling
The Talented Legacy perk lets class talent points begin arriving at level 9 instead of level 10. This can let you reach useful Feral breakpoints earlier during leveling, but it does not increase the final level-60 talent maximum beyond 51 points.
Use earlier points to accelerate whatever your character currently needs — deeper Heart of the Wild for general flexibility, Feral Instinct for Bear dungeon play, or progression toward the next important Feral tier.
Choose any WoW Forever leveling range up to 60 and skip the quest, travel, and dungeon grind while keeping control of your target level.
Level 60 Feral Cat PvE Build — Shred Theorycraft
This is level-60 theorycraft, not a solved raid build. The current beta does not provide level-60 raid logs, final itemization, encounter profiles, or stable tuning. The build below should therefore be treated as a framework for the current talent data.
A strong positional Cat framework is 9/35/7. It combines the deep Feral damage package with periodic-damage scaling from Balance and 5/5 Furor from Restoration.
- ★ A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
- ★ A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.
Druid Feral Combat talent build — Balance 9, Feral Combat 35, Restoration 7.
9 / 35 / 7 Key talents: Berserk, Leader of the Pack, Feral Charge, Rend and Tear 5/5, Ferocity 5/5, Heart of the Wild 5/5| Talent | Role in the Build |
|---|---|
| Genesis | At 5/5, increases periodic damage and healing by 5%, directly supporting Rake and Rip. |
| Nature’s Reach | The current Forever version also contributes Hit, making the Balance investment relevant to melee Feral rather than only caster utility. |
| Shredding Attacks | At 3/3, reduces Shred’s Energy cost substantially, making positional Shred the centerpiece of this version of the Cat rotation. |
| Predatory Strikes | Provides melee Attack Power in Cat and Bear forms and unlocks Rend and Tear. |
| Primal Fury | At 2/2, non-periodic critical strikes from Cat abilities that generate Combo Points also generate an additional Combo Point. |
| Predatory Instincts | At 2/2, increases the critical-strike damage bonus of melee abilities by 20%. |
| Leader of the Pack | Provides 3% Crit to party members while you are in Cat, Bear, or Dire Bear Form and unlocks Berserk. |
| King of the Jungle | Turns Tiger’s Fury into an important Energy cooldown by instantly providing up to 60 Energy. |
| Rend and Tear | At 5/5, increases melee damage against Bleeding targets by 10%, rewarding strong bleed uptime. |
| Berserk | For 15 sec, gives Combo Point-generating abilities 100% additional Crit chance; it also removes Mangle’s cooldown and makes Mangle hit up to three targets. |
| Furor | At 5/5, preserves your previous Cat Energy and banks additional Energy while you spend real time outside Cat/Bear forms. It no longer enables the old instant powershifting loop. |
| Naturalist | The two remaining Restoration points provide a universal damage increase while also improving Healing Touch cast time. |
Level 60 Cat Alternative — Mangle + Mobility
A 9/38/4 variation spends three additional points in Feral to pick up Feral Swiftness and Mangle.
- ★ A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
- ★ A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.
Druid Feral Combat talent build — Balance 9, Feral Combat 38, Restoration 4.
9 / 38 / 4 Key talents: Berserk, Leader of the Pack, Mangle, Feral Charge, Rend and Tear 5/5, Ferocity 5/5Mangle replaces Claw in Cat Form and does not require you to attack from behind. That gives this version a much more forgiving generator when encounter mechanics deny reliable backside access.
The trade-off is that Restoration drops to 4/5 Furor and loses the Naturalist points. Which version wins in actual raids will depend heavily on boss positioning, movement, Energy flow, and final tuning.
Level 60 Feral Bear Tank Build — Theorycraft
Feral is also the Druid’s dedicated tank tree, and Forever adds several tools that make Bear substantially more complete than its original Classic version. A current community framework is 0/38/13.
- ★ A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
- ★ A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.
Druid Feral Combat talent build — Balance 0, Feral Combat 38, Restoration 13.
0 / 38 / 13 Key talents: Berserk, Leader of the Pack, Mangle, Feral Charge, Natural Reaction 5/5, Ferocity 5/5| Talent / Ability | Why Bear Wants It |
|---|---|
| Mangle | Adds an important Bear attack and becomes particularly powerful during Berserk. |
| Primal Fury | At 2/2, Bear critical strikes reliably provide additional Rage. |
| Natural Reaction | At 5/5, provides 5% Dodge and causes every successful dodge to generate 5 Rage. |
| Berserk | Removes Mangle’s cooldown and lets it hit up to three targets for 15 sec, creating an important threat window. |
| Lacerate | Adds a dedicated single-target Bear bleed to maintain between higher-priority attacks. |
| Furor | Supports Rage when entering Bear Form, making transitions back into the tank role less awkward. |
| Naturalist | Provides universal damage and therefore contributes directly to threat. |
This build should not be treated as proof of the final raid-tank meta. Boss damage, Defense requirements, crushing-blow rules, Tier sets, armor values, and healer Mana pressure are still incompletely tested.
Level 60 Feral PvP Build — Theorycraft
A useful current PvP framework is 0/30/21. It combines Cat mobility and bleed pressure with deep Restoration utility, including Nature’s Swiftness.
- ★ A new talent introduced with WoW Forever.
- ★ A talent that has been modified compared to Classic.
Druid Feral Combat talent build — Balance 0, Feral Combat 30, Restoration 21.
0 / 30 / 21 Key talents: Leader of the Pack, Mangle, Feral Charge, Rend and Tear 5/5, Ferocity 5/5, King of the Jungle 3/3The defining PvP strength is not simply Cat damage. Feral can move between stealth pressure, Cat mobility, Bear durability, roots, interrupts, and emergency healing.
Feral Charge is particularly important because Cat and Bear versions provide different forms of mobility and control but share a cooldown. Using Cat Charge to close distance can therefore cost you the Bear interrupt you might have needed moments later.
Community Feral Builds Worth Watching
| Build | Focus | What It Tells Us | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0/11/0 at Level 20 | Cat/Bear flexibility + mobility | A strong current-cap setup with Ferocity, Feral Swiftness, Heart of the Wild, and Feral Charge. | Icy Veins |
| 9/35/7 Cat | Shred + bleeds + full Furor | A useful current beta-client framework for a positional Cat rotation built around Shred and strong bleed scaling. | Public Beta-Client Build |
| 9/38/4 Cat | Mangle + mobility | Trades some Restoration investment for Feral Swiftness and Mangle, making the Cat rotation less dependent on attacking from behind. | Public Beta-Client Build |
| 0/38/13 Bear | Mangle + Lacerate + Natural Reaction | A current tank theorycraft framework showing how Forever’s new Bear tools could fit together at level 60. | Community Bear Theorycraft |
| 0/30/21 PvP | Cat pressure + Restoration utility | Combines Feral mobility and bleeds with Nature’s Swiftness and cheaper shapeshifting for extended PvP fights. | Community PvP Theorycraft |
All level-60 builds above are frameworks. Public calculator builds show what players are experimenting with; they are not evidence that a final raid meta has already been solved.
Best Race for Feral Druid in WoW Forever
Feral has fewer racial choices than most classes, and the new Skyborne option introduces additional Alliance and Horde choices. Current tuning favors slightly different priorities for Cat damage and Bear durability.
| Race | Why It Works | Best Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Night Elf | Elune’s Light provides 10% Crit for 15 sec on a 3-minute cooldown, creating a strong Cat burst window. Shadowmeld also provides situational threat and PvP utility. | Alliance Cat DPS |
| Tauren | Endurance provides extra total Health and 1% Hit, both highly relevant to Feral when the Hit is not wasted. War Stomp adds useful open-world and PvP control. | Horde Cat / Bear |
| Skyborne | The shared 1% Haste racial improves auto-attacks but does not increase Feral Energy regeneration. Horde Skysight movement also does not stack with Feral Swiftness. | Flexible alternative |
Current PvE direction: Night Elf has the clearest Alliance damage racial, while Tauren is particularly attractive on Horde whenever its Hit bonus remains useful. Final level-60 gear can change the value of a racial that contributes Hit.
Night Elf Cooldown Trap: Elune’s Light + Berserk
Do not automatically stack every Crit cooldown just because they are available together.
Berserk already gives your Combo Point generators 100% additional Critical Strike chance. That means part of Elune’s Light’s +10% Crit can be wasted on those same generators during Berserk.
Unless another part of the encounter strongly favors stacking everything into one window, staggering Elune’s Light and Berserk can give you more useful Crit coverage across the fight.
Best Professions for Feral Druid in WoW Forever
Profession optimization is still beta-sensitive, but Feral has several unusually natural combinations.
| Profession Setup | Why It Fits Feral |
|---|---|
| Leatherworking + Skinning | One of the smoothest leveling combinations. Skinning feeds Leatherworking, while Forever adds useful crafted leather gear plus Armor Kit and Embroidery options. |
| Engineering + Leatherworking | A strong endgame-oriented combination. Engineering adds bombs and utility, and Forever allows more consumables and explosives to be used while shapeshifted. |
| Alchemy + Herbalism | A self-sufficient leveling option with potions and long-duration buffs. Mixology increases elixir and flask effects by 25%. |
| Enchanting | Provides personal ring enchants and can become valuable if its endgame Attack Power options remain competitive. |
Do not permanently choose an endgame profession combination purely from pre-raid beta theorycraft. Final recipes, profession-exclusive bonuses, and crafted weapons can still change the comparison.
Feral Druid Stat Priority and Gear
Level 20 Feral Stat Priority
A practical current-beta priority is:
Weapon DPS > needed Hit > Critical Strike > Strength > Stamina > Agility > Spirit
- Weapon DPS: the most important Forever-specific gearing change. Cat and Bear attacks now scale with equipped weapon damage.
- Hit: extremely valuable until your attacks reliably connect with the content you are fighting.
- Critical Strike: improves direct damage and becomes increasingly valuable later through Primal Fury and Predatory Instincts.
- Strength: currently provides particularly strong offensive value to low-level Feral.
- Stamina: important for solo play and even more valuable when you regularly tank in Bear Form.
- Agility: still provides useful offensive and defensive value, although current level-20 testing places Strength ahead of it.
- Spirit: helps your Mana recovery between off-form healing and shapeshifting cycles.
Weapon DPS Matters — Weapon Speed Currently Does Not
This is one of the largest departures from original Classic gearing.
Do not treat Feral weapons as stat sticks. Cat and Bear attacks now scale from your equipped weapon’s DPS.
At the same time, current beta testing indicates that the weapon’s attack speed itself does not meaningfully change your form attack speed. In practical terms:
- compare weapon DPS first;
- then compare the useful stats;
- do not automatically choose a slower weapon just because old melee rules would normally favor it;
- do not keep a low-DPS Classic-era “Feral weapon” simply because its secondary stats look familiar.
Level 20 Gear Priorities
| Priority | What to Look For |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Upgrade aggressively. Weapon DPS now directly contributes to Cat and Bear damage. |
| Hit / Crit | Powerful whenever available, although low-level itemization limits how much you can realistically stack. |
| Strength | Excellent current-cap offensive stat. |
| Stamina / Armor | Increase in value when you tank dungeons or fight dangerous open-world enemies. |
| Spell Power off-set | Unusually useful while leveling because early Wrath scales with Spell Power and current testing shows Thorns snapshots Spell Power when applied. |
Current level-20 dungeon testing highlights items from Ruins of Lordaeron and Wailing Caverns, while Leatherworking’s Brawler’s Leather pieces provide another strong gearing route. Always evaluate the actual Forever tooltip rather than importing an old Classic BiS list unchanged.
Level 60 Cat Stat Priority — Provisional
No trustworthy final level-60 stat weights exist yet. A sensible framework is:
Weapon DPS > enough Hit for the content > offensive stats such as Crit, Strength and Agility
Crit has additional synergy through 2/2 Primal Fury and Predatory Instincts, but Berserk temporarily gives generators an enormous Crit bonus, which can reduce the marginal value of additional Crit during that cooldown. Final comparisons require level-60 gear and combat logs.
Level 60 Bear Stats — Provisional
Bear should prioritize surviving the encounter first and threat second. Armor, Stamina, avoidance, Hit, weapon DPS, and offensive stats can all matter, but the final Defense requirements and boss attack rules have not been fully established for Forever. Do not copy a Classic-era “defense cap” into a Forever tank guide until level-60 testing confirms it.
Feral Druid Rotation in WoW Forever
Level 20 Cat Rotation
The level-20 Cat rotation is intentionally simple because most of the spec’s later abilities have not unlocked yet.
- Keep Mark of the Wild and Thorns active before combat.
- Use Claw to generate Combo Points.
- If you have 4–5 Combo Points and the target will live for roughly another 6 seconds or longer, spend them on Rip.
- If the enemy will die too quickly for Rip to pay off, continue using Claw and auto-attacks instead.
- When Clearcasting procs, consume it on an eligible Energy-cost attack rather than letting it expire.
- Do not repeatedly leave and immediately re-enter Cat Form expecting Classic powershifting to generate Energy.
The amount of time spent waiting for Energy at level 20 is real. This is a consequence of testing the specialization at the exact level where Cat Form has just been unlocked and before Rake, Shred, Tiger’s Fury, Mangle, Primal Fury, and the deep-Feral cooldown package are all available.
Level 20 Bear Tank Rotation
- Maintain Thorns before the pull.
- Enter Bear Form and use Enrage when additional starting Rage is worth its temporary Armor penalty.
- Use Demoralizing Roar when its attack-power reduction is valuable.
- Use Maul as your normal single-target Rage spender.
- Use Swipe against multiple enemies.
- Use Bear Feral Charge to close distance and interrupt dangerous casts.
- Shift out to heal when the pull is safe, then return to Bear Form.
Bear is often the easier way to enter level-20 dungeons because the same Feral talent build can tank without requiring a respec.
Level 60 Cat Rotation — Current Theorycraft
The finished rotation cannot be proven until level-60 testing exists, but the current talent interactions point toward the following priority.
- Apply Rake when the target will live long enough for the bleed.
- Build Combo Points while maintaining enough Energy to avoid long dead periods.
- Maintain Rip on durable targets.
- Use Shred as the efficient positional generator when your build includes 3/3 Shredding Attacks and you can stay behind the target.
- If talented into Mangle, use it when positional access makes Shred impractical or when its other interactions justify it.
- Use Tiger’s Fury with King of the Jungle only when you have enough empty Energy space to receive the 60-Energy refill without wasting a large portion of it.
- Consume Clearcasting on an expensive useful generator rather than on something you were about to cast cheaply anyway.
- Use Berserk during an important damage window, but watch Combo Points carefully because Primal Fury makes generator Crits produce additional Combo Points.
- Use Ferocious Bite when Rip has enough safe duration remaining or when the target will die before another Rip can deliver enough value.
How Feral's Endgame Cat Loop Works
Forever replaces the old powershift spam with longer Energy-management windows. The goal is to keep a bleed active, spend Energy efficiently, and turn Tiger's Fury and Berserk into controlled Combo Point bursts without overcapping either resource.
Level 60 Bear Rotation — Current Theorycraft
- Use Feral Charge or another safe pull tool to establish the pack.
- Maintain Demoralizing Roar when reducing enemy melee damage is worthwhile.
- Use Mangle as a high-priority single-target threat ability.
- Maintain Lacerate on durable single targets.
- Use Maul when you have enough Rage that spending it will not prevent a higher-priority ability.
- Use Swipe to maintain multi-target threat.
- During Berserk, Mangle loses its cooldown and can hit up to three targets — use this as a major threat window.
- Natural Reaction and Primal Fury can both feed additional Rage through defensive and offensive events, so adapt Rage spending to actual incoming damage rather than following a fixed sequence.
Advanced Feral Mechanics You Should Know
1. Furor Is an Energy Bank — Not Classic Powershifting
This is the most important mechanical difference for returning Classic Feral players.
Old powershifting worked because repeatedly leaving and re-entering Cat Form could create a fresh chunk of Energy. Forever’s Furor is deliberately different.
At 5/5:
- you regain 100% of the Energy you had when you last left Cat Form;
- while genuinely outside Cat, Bear, and Dire Bear Form, Furor banks 10 Energy per second;
- the bank can reach a maximum of 100 Energy;
- instantly shifting out and immediately back in does not recreate the old endless Energy loop.
This means shifting can still be useful — especially if you leave Cat to heal, cast utility, or spend several seconds in caster form — but the decision is now about preserving and rebuilding a resource, not spamming forms every few seconds for free Energy.
2. Berserk + Primal Fury Creates a Combo-Point Burst Window
Berserk gives Combo Point-generating abilities 100% additional Critical Strike chance for 15 sec.
At 2/2, Primal Fury makes every eligible non-periodic generator Crit add an additional Combo Point.
Together, that changes how you manage the five-point cap. During Berserk, many normal one-point generators can effectively create two points at once. Entering the cooldown already sitting at four Combo Points can therefore waste part of your next generator.
Practical rule: spend Combo Points aggressively during Berserk and plan your Energy before the cooldown rather than simply pressing Berserk at five points and a nearly full Energy bar.
3. Your Weapon Is No Longer Just a Stat Stick
Original Classic Feral gearing trained players to care heavily about unusual weapon bonuses while form damage itself largely ignored normal weapon DPS.
Forever changes that. Both Cat and Bear combat abilities scale with equipped weapon damage.
The important second half of the mechanic is that weapon attack speed currently does not matter in the same way. The simplest gearing workflow is therefore:
- compare weapon DPS;
- compare relevant stats;
- only then worry about special effects or utility.
This is one of the easiest places for an old Classic guide to give actively bad Forever advice.
4. Thorns Currently Snapshots Spell Power
Current level-20 beta testing shows that Thorns checks your Spell Power when the buff is applied.
That creates an unusual leveling trick:
- equip your best available Spell Power pieces;
- cast Thorns;
- switch back to your normal Feral gear;
- the existing Thorns retains the Spell Power used when it was applied.
This is most noticeable while Bear tanking or fighting several enemies that repeatedly hit you. It is also very beta-sensitive, so it should be re-tested after major patches rather than assumed permanent.
5. Tiger’s Fury Requires Energy Space
With 3/3 King of the Jungle, Tiger’s Fury instantly grants 60 Energy in addition to its redesigned damage window.
Using it at 80–100 Energy wastes most of the resource component. The correct decision is therefore not simply “Tiger’s Fury is ready.” It is:
“Tiger’s Fury is ready, I have enough empty Energy space, and I can immediately convert the refill into useful attacks.”
6. Feral Charge Is One Cooldown Shared by Two Forms
Forever adds a Cat version of Feral Charge, but Cat and Bear Charge share their cooldown.
That creates a real decision:
- Cat Charge can quickly restore melee uptime or help reposition behind a target;
- Bear Charge can close distance while interrupting and immobilizing a caster;
- using one means the other will not immediately be available.
This matters most in PvP and encounters where an interrupt may be more valuable than a small amount of extra Cat uptime.
What Changed for Feral Druid in WoW Forever?
| Change | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Cat and Bear scale with weapon damage | Weapon DPS becomes a real Feral gearing stat instead of the weapon functioning mostly as a stat stick. |
| Consumables can be used in combat forms | Potions, Engineering tools, and other consumables are much less awkward for Feral to use. |
| Furor redesigned | Classic powershifting is effectively removed. Furor now preserves and banks Cat Energy instead of creating a flat resource burst every shift. |
| Tiger’s Fury redesigned | It now acts as a percentage damage cooldown, while King of the Jungle adds the major 60-Energy refill. |
| Omen of Clarity baseline | Feral receives Clearcasting without needing to spend talent points and learns it at level 20. |
| Feral Charge gains Cat functionality | Cat can leap behind a target, while the Bear version retains its interrupt/root role. Both share a cooldown. |
| Mangle added | Provides a new Cat generator and Bear attack, giving deep Feral a more complete combat kit. |
| Lacerate added | Bear receives a dedicated bleed and a more complete single-target threat rotation. |
| Natural Reaction added | Bear can gain additional Dodge and convert successful dodges into Rage. |
| Primal Fury expanded | In addition to Bear Rage from Crits, Cat generator Crits can now produce additional Combo Points. |
| King of the Jungle added | Provides the major new Cat Energy injection through Tiger’s Fury. |
| Rend and Tear added | Rewards maintaining a Bleed before using the rest of your melee toolkit. |
| Berserk added | Creates a major Cat Combo Point/Crit window and a Bear multi-target Mangle window while also providing Fear immunity. |
| Leader of the Pack changed | Now grants 3% Crit to the party and is mutually exclusive with Moonkin Aura. |
Best Legacy Perks for Feral Druid
Legacy progression is account-wide, but each character can spend its points differently. Feral benefits especially well from perks that accelerate the talent curve or reduce the downtime created by shifting out to heal.
| Legacy Perk | Why Feral Likes It |
|---|---|
| Talented | Class talent points begin at level 9 rather than level 10, allowing important Feral breakpoints to arrive earlier. The final maximum remains 51 points. |
| Thrill of Adventure | Restores Health and Mana after qualifying open-world kills, helping both Bear/Cat sustain and the Mana spent on healing and shapeshifting. |
| Well Rested | Improves rested-experience accumulation and cap, useful for Feral alts or characters leveled in shorter sessions. |
| High Alert | A situational open-world PvP option that improves stealth detection, although it does not function in battlegrounds. |
Feral Druid Leveling Tips
- Do not judge Feral from levels 1–9: you do not even have Bear Form yet.
- Use Bear heavily from 10–19: it lets you fight while regenerating the Mana used for healing.
- Do not skip the level-20 Cat Form quest: Cat Form is not simply granted automatically.
- Keep Thorns active: it contributes meaningful early damage, especially while tanking.
- Upgrade your weapon: Forever’s form weapon scaling makes a good weapon one of your largest damage upgrades.
- Tank dungeons when useful: the Feral tree supports both roles, dramatically reducing the time required to find groups.
- Do not overvalue old Classic Feral guides: weapon scaling and the Furor redesign invalidate two of the most important assumptions those guides were built around.
