Requirements

Ref unlocked via Skier’s Easy Money – Part 1 — or add our Unlock Trader option.

Ref, known in-game as The Host, is the Arena representative — a former sports functionary who now organizes pit fights across Tarkov and moves the prizes. He is the only trader whose progression runs on GP Coins instead of Roubles, earned through Arena play rather than raids.

That makes his questline the bridge between the two games:

• Arena performance turns into raid advantage. Ref’s stock is gear you unlock by fighting in the Arena, then bring into your main PMC’s kit.
• Item and currency transfer. After To Great Heights! – Part 3, Ref opens his services tab, letting you move Roubles, GP Coins, Lega Medals, and loot crates between Arena and your main profile. Transfer fees drop as your Charisma skill and Ref loyalty rise.
• Loyalty gates the best deals. Ref has four loyalty levels, and the top one needs player level 35 and 1.20 reputation. Reputation comes mostly from his own tasks — which is exactly what this service farms.

Ref Quest Quest Lines

• Easy Money – The entry point. Part 1 is Skier’s task that unlocks Ref at all.
• To Great Heights! – A six-part line and the most valuable one to finish. Part 3 opens the item and currency transfer service.
• Balancing – Two parts. Part 1 rewards trial access to EFT: Arena, useful if you don’t play it yet.
• Create a Distraction – Two parts of Arena-linked objectives.
• Against the Conscience – Two parts, some of Ref’s tougher combat tasks.
• Between Two Fires, Surprise, Decisions, Decisions – Standalone tasks that push reputation and unlock further offers.
