WoW Forever class weapon quests give Paladins, Warriors, Shamans, Mages and Rogues rewards that ordinary dungeon farming cannot simply replace. Some chains return from Classic, while Forever introduces new faction stories and class-only rewards. The most useful targets during the Level 30 beta are Verigan’s Fist or Wolfsbane for Paladins, a Whirlwind weapon for Warriors, The Tempest’s Weapons for Shamans, one of three Mage wands, and Ruby-Adorned Blade for Rogues.
Which quest should you do? Choose the route for your class and faction, check its starting level, then look at the harder dungeon or elite stages before traveling. Most weapon quests open between levels 20 and 30, but opening the quest is not the same as being able to solo every encounter. Each selectable reward normally gives you one weapon, not the entire reward list.
WoW Forever launches on November 4, 2026. The October beta is capped at Level 30, and quest steps, side rewards and weapon stats can still change. The routes below follow currently documented Forever quests, with beta observations identified where they differ from the database.

WoW Forever Class Weapon Quests at a Glance
Start with the table below. The required level is when a chain or its listed service becomes available, not a promise of an easy solo completion at that level.
| Class / faction | Quest and reward | Starting level | Hardest practical obstacle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alliance Paladin | Verigan’s Fist via The Test of Righteousness | 20 | Materials from Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep; separate travel to Loch Modan and the Blackfathom coast |
| Horde Paladin | Wolfsbane via A Moon-Kissed Blade and Old Fire-Eye | 18 for introduction; 20 for weapon work | Cross-faction dungeon materials, then a Silverpine elite fight |
| Warrior (both factions) | Whirlwind Axe, Sword or Warhammer via Whirlwind Weapon | 30 | Elemental materials and the level-40 elite Cyclonian |
| Shaman (both factions) | The Tempest’s Weapons: three role-oriented choices | 30, after totem progression | Razorfen Kraul, Twisted Totems and the Thousand Needles elite event |
| Mage (both factions) | Mage’s Wand: Icefury, Ragefire or Nether Force | 30 | Scarlet Monastery Library, Arathi materials and a long travel chain |
| Rogue (both factions) | Ruby-Adorned Blade through The Eye of Bhossca | Database says 25; beta reports mail at 30 | Solo Stealth infiltration of Scarlet Monastery and the dead-drop sequence |
Useful distinction: the Paladin’s faction determines the weapon; Warrior, Shaman and Mage choose among mutually exclusive weapons at a final hand-in. The Rogue blade is a different kind of challenge built around infiltration. A high item level alone does not make every reward the best weapon for every specialization.
Get the Weapon You Actually Need
Once you know your class, faction, required level and reward, decide whether to run the whole quest chain yourself or arrange the eligible class-quest work after launch. Rogue is a self-guided route here; it is not listed in our current Class Quests service.
Which Class Weapon Quests Are New in WoW Forever?
Not every quest in this guide was invented for Forever. The differences matter if you remember Classic or Season of Discovery:
| Chain | Forever status | What actually changes |
|---|---|---|
| Paladin — Alliance | Returning Classic | The Test of Righteousness still awards Verigan’s Fist in the Forever database. |
| Paladin — Horde | New Forever route | New Forsaken-side story leads to the Moonsilver Blade and its Wolfsbane upgrade. |
| Warrior / Mage | Returning Classic chains | Whirlwind Weapon and Mage’s Wand remain available, with Forever-specific item records and beta balance. |
| Shaman | New Forever weapon chain | The Tempest’s Weapons follows totem progress and introduces rewards tailored to Shaman playstyles. |
| Rogue | Updated quest path | The Eye of Bhossca quest and Ruby-Adorned Blade reward appear in the Forever database; the sequence builds on the earlier covert class quest. |
Class quests are not automatically weapon quests. Warlock demon summons, Druid forms and other class unlocks belong to separate objectives. The current LepreStore Class Quests configurator lists several of those unlocks, but not every class quest in the game.
Paladin Weapon Quests: Verigan’s Fist or Wolfsbane
Paladins have the most obvious faction split. Alliance receives a two-handed mace, Horde receives a two-handed sword. Both are class-restricted, bind when picked up and reward a longer journey rather than a random dungeon roll. Neither character gets both weapons from one chain.
Alliance: How to Get Verigan’s Fist
- Reach level 20 and begin your Paladin class storyline. The opening breadcrumbs depend on your race. Continue through the Tome of Valor / Test of Righteousness progression until Jordan Stilwell in Ironforge provides the weapon notes.
- Collect Whitestone Oak Lumber. Find Goblin Woodcarvers inside The Deadmines, around the mast-making area.
- Retrieve Jordan’s Smithing Hammer. It is inside Shadowfang Keep, in the stable/courtyard section. Arrange dungeon access instead of assuming a level-20 Paladin can clear the entire instance solo.
- Bring Jordan’s Refined Ore Shipment. Take the related errand from Bailor Stonehand at Thelsamar, Loch Modan, recover the shipment near Mo’grosh Stronghold and return for the refined ore.
- Obtain a Purified Kor Gem. Follow the auxiliary lead toward the Blackfathom Deeps approach at Zoram Strand; do not confuse the prerequisite gem errand with a random boss drop from inside a full BFD clear.
- Return all four components to Jordan Stilwell in Ironforge. Complete the final weapon turn-in for Verigan’s Fist.
Time-saving route: pick up the extra item quests before entering each dungeon or heading to the coastal naga. Your biggest avoidable mistake is completing a dungeon and discovering you never accepted the quest that makes its item available.
Horde: How to Get Wolfsbane
- Begin at Bandarion Keep in western Tirisfal Glades. The chain starts as early as level 18 with Diplomatic Incident, then sends you into the Silverpine Forest storyline around Lumina Windsinger.
- Continue through the setup quests. The Windshaper storyline leads into A Moon-Kissed Blade and the materials needed to craft a special sword.
- Gather three materials plus Trevan’s Weapon Notes. Seek Whitestone Oak Lumber in Deadmines, Enchanted Silver Ingot in Shadowfang Keep and Purified Kor Gem near the Blackfathom Deeps approach through its prerequisite quest.
- Complete the forging steps. Continue through the Silverpine and crafting hand-ins until you receive the Moonsilver Blade.
- Defeat Old Fire-Eye. Equip the Moonsilver Blade for the elite worgen encounter south of the Sepulcher, near the Gilneas approach; its first successful hit is part of breaking the encounter’s shield. A partner is useful at level 20.
- Return for the upgrade. Finish Old Fire-Eye to receive Wolfsbane.
Do not confuse the intermediate Moonsilver Blade with the final Wolfsbane reward. The Horde story is new; following an old Alliance-only Verigan’s Fist map will send you to the wrong quest giver. The Paladin class overview covers Holy, Protection and Retribution after you choose your weapon.
Warrior: How to Get Whirlwind Axe, Sword or Warhammer
Whirlwind Weapon remains one of the most distinctive level-30 Warrior goals. The weapon quest itself is a Classic return, not a newly added Forever storyline. The catch is its difficulty: the chain leads to enemies above the current beta cap.
- Learn Berserker Stance first. Complete the class route through The Islander and The Affray, then follow the quest lead to Bath’rah the Windwatcher in the Alterac Mountains.
- Collect the materials. The Cyclonian stage requires 8 Liferoot, 30 Bloodscalp Tusks and an Essence of the Exile, the latter prepared through its own elemental gathering work.
- Prepare for an elite fight. The Summoning brings out Cyclonian, a level-40 elite. At level 30, a group is the sensible way to finish rather than repeatedly forcing solo attempts.
- Loot the Whirlwind Heart and return it to Bath’rah the Windwatcher.
- Choose one final weapon: Whirlwind Axe, Whirlwind Sword or Whirlwind Warhammer.
Which one? Whirlwind Axe is a strong default when slow, high top-end damage matters for leveling and Arms play. Other choices can fit specific weapon preferences or future builds. Do not treat a single beta recommendation as the permanent Level-60 answer. LepreStore currently lists Whirlwind Axe specifically; its product menu should not be interpreted as an unconditional offer of every alternative.
For talents, weapon speed and stance decisions beyond the quest itself, use the WoW Forever Warrior Guide.
Shaman: How to Complete The Tempest’s Weapons
The Tempest’s Weapons is one of Forever’s most interesting new class questlines because it asks a Shaman to restore elemental balance before claiming a powerful class weapon. It opens from level 30 after the relevant totem progression, but the required enemies and final event make it substantially harder than an ordinary level-30 errand.
- Finish your Air Totem / Call of Air progression. Check your Shaman quest log and trainer if the next step does not appear. Horde and Alliance use different starting NPCs, but follow comparable objectives.
- Complete Elemental Aid. Run Razorfen Kraul, defeat its final boss Charlga Razorflank and recover the clue about the quilboar ritual.
- Work through the follow-up investigation. The faction versions include Eyes on the Sky and/or Storm, Earth, and Fire. Collect the required Twisted Totems from creatures spread across areas including Dustwallow Marsh, Desolace, Swamp of Sorrows and Badlands. Quest records and objectives can differ by faction.
- Complete Heed My Call. Bring the corrupted totems to the Thousand Needles steam-pool event and survive a challenging elemental-and-quilboar sequence. This has included level-40 elite opponents during the beta, so plan for help.
- Claim your weapon. Carry the Eye of the Tempest to Bath’rah the Windwatcher in Alterac Mountains (around
/way 80.4 66.8) for the final reward choice.
| Shaman reward | Natural role fit | Why you might choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning’s Grasp | Elemental | Main-hand fist weapon with spell power and a Lightning Bolt critical-strike bonus |
| Tidebringer’s Claw | Restoration | Main-hand healing-oriented fist weapon with healing power and Healing Wave-related critical-strike value |
| Rage of the Storm | Enhancement | Two-handed mace with a Stormstrike damage bonus and a strong leveling weapon profile |
These are role-oriented recommendations, not three simultaneous rewards or universal BiS rankings. Your talent setup and current equipment still matter. The Forever database also displays different additional rewards on Alliance and Horde versions of the final quest; confirm the active final hand-in rather than assuming every Shaman receives the same shield or side item.
Beta change: Blizzard increased several Twisted Totem drop opportunities and adjusted creature respawns; the Eye of the Tempest was also changed to multi-drop. Older walkthroughs from the beginning of October may describe a considerably more frustrating farm. For the three playstyles, compare Elemental, Enhancement and Restoration in our Shaman overview.
Mage: How to Get Icefury, Ragefire or Nether Force Wand
At level 30 a Mage can begin the returning Mage’s Wand chain. This is a multi-zone quest, not a shop purchase or a one-boss dungeon reward. It ends with a choice of one school-themed wand.
- Pick up Journey to the Marsh from a Mage trainer and visit Tabetha, west of Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh.
- Start Items of Power and Hidden Secrets. Collect the materials requested for Tabetha’s wand and find Magus Tirth at the Shimmering Flats in Thousand Needles.
- Complete Get the Scoop. Locate the disguised assistant near the raceway and recover the information required to open Tirth’s strongbox.
- Run Scarlet Monastery Library. During Rituals of Power, loot the required book before leaving. This is a group-content step at the level-30 beta cap.
- Finish the materials collection. Items of Power involves Witherbark trolls in Arathi Highlands and a Jade. Check that both Items of Power and Rituals of Power are turned in before looking for the final quest.
- Return to Tabetha, finish Mage’s Wand and select one of the three rewards below.
| Wand | Best-matched school | Key characteristic |
|---|---|---|
| Nether Force Wand | Arcane | Arcane-focused spell-damage bonus |
| Ragefire Wand | Fire | Fire-focused spell-damage bonus |
| Icefury Wand | Frost | Frost-focused spell-damage bonus |
Pick for the spells you actually cast. If you level as Frost but plan to switch to Fire, make that decision before the final hand-in: the quest does not award all three wands. Our Mage Guide helps compare Arcane, Fire and Frost beyond this quest.
Rogue: Ruby-Adorned Blade and The Eye of Bhossca
Rogue has a different kind of class weapon quest: The Eye of Bhossca is built around Stealth, infiltration and the C dead-drop storyline. The reward is the Ruby-Adorned Blade, a Rogue-only one-handed sword with Agility and Stamina.
Level nuance: the current quest records show a level-25 requirement for part of the chain, while October beta players report receiving the next invitation by mail at level 30 after progress on The Horn of Xelthos. Check both your earlier quest completion and in-game mail if no new task appears; do not assume every stage opens automatically at 25.
- Finish the preceding covert Rogue work, including The Horn of Xelthos when required by your version. Check for mail from C as you reach the relevant level.
- Visit the C dead drop around
/way 47.1 71.1in Pyrewood Village, Silverpine Forest. - Prepare the Scarlet disguise. Beta walkthroughs describe a Scarlet Initiate Uniform in the stables behind Scarlet Monastery, around
/way 81.2 32.1in Tirisfal Glades. - Infiltrate the monastery alone. Use Stealth, disguise and Pick Pocket as the quest requires; a Scarlet Scryer’s key and a graveyard sequence form part of the documented route. This objective is not a normal group-clear substitute.
- Recover the Eye of Bhossca from the Library objective, then return it to the Pyrewood Village drop.
- Collect the promised payment. Watch for the final note/mail and return to the dead drop to claim Ruby-Adorned Blade.
Community walkthroughs document this solo route, but stealth patrols and reset interactions can change between beta builds. If one part fails, use the live quest objective rather than treating an old mob-reset trick as mandatory. Whether this sword beats a dungeon blade also depends on your spec and current gear: Combat, Assassination and Subtlety value weapon speed and damage differently.
Service availability: Rogue is not one of the classes offered in the current LepreStore Class Quests configurator. Use this walkthrough for the Rogue chain rather than buying another class’s quest option. For your build decisions, see our Rogue Guide.
Which Class Weapon Reward Is Worth Getting?
The most expensive error is measuring a quest weapon by item level alone. Your role, the time left before the next gear bracket, and whether you need a group can matter more than a small stat increase.
| Your situation | Practical decision |
|---|---|
| Level-20 Paladin still using a weak green weapon | The faction quest weapon is often worth planning, especially when you can combine Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep objectives with existing dungeon groups. |
| Level-30 Warrior without a strong two-hander | Whirlwind Axe is a meaningful target, provided you can arrange help for the materials and level-40 elite. |
| Shaman who plays multiple roles | Compare the three weapon options against the spec you actually use most; a healing fist weapon and a Stormstrike mace solve different problems. |
| Mage with one dominant damage school | The school-matched wand is the straightforward choice, but confirm your planned specialization before locking in the reward. |
| Rogue who values a solo class challenge | Do The Eye of Bhossca for the unique quest experience and possible upgrade; compare its stats against readily available alternatives before calling it BiS. |
| Character who will level quickly to 40–60 after launch | Consider whether the travel and group effort are still worthwhile. A memorable class weapon can be valuable without being your longest-lasting DPS upgrade. |
Want a broader comparison for every slot at the current beta cap? The Best Level 30 Gear Guide owns the role-specific dungeon and quest alternatives; this page stays focused on obtaining class-bound quest weapons.
How to Prepare for Class Weapon Quests Without Wasting Runs
- Check your faction, class and prerequisite quest log. A missing earlier class task can prevent the next weapon quest from appearing, especially for Shaman, Mage and Rogue.
- Accept every material subquest first. This is critical for the Paladin collection routes. Do not enter a dungeon hoping a quest-only object will work without its preceding hand-in.
- Reserve help for difficult stages. Cyclonian, the Shaman elemental event and some Paladin dungeon steps are not routine level-30 solo fights.
- Choose your reward before the last turn-in. The Mage and Shaman options support different roles; the Warrior choices have different weapon profiles.
- Do not mistake a dungeon clear for class-quest completion. A clear may satisfy one part of a chain, but the final quest reward requires its own objectives and hand-in.
- Confirm launch availability. Beta experience does not transfer to a new launch character, and the listed LepreStore quest-completion work is a post-November-4 pre-order, not a beta service.
For a character who qualifies, WoW Forever Class Quests Boost covers the selected eligible chain through its final hand-in. The menu currently offers Paladin, Warrior, Shaman and Mage weapon paths, plus specific forms and summons for other classes. Shaman’s All Totems is a separate selectable option when its prerequisite progression is incomplete. Character leveling and quests not selected in the order are separate. Before ordering, compare the exact chain and reward in the configurator.
Other Class Quest Rewards You Should Not Confuse With Weapons
A few class-exclusive discoveries overlap these searches without actually awarding the weapon discussed above. The Alliance Paladin chain ending in Return to Delgren currently grants the Cloak of the Divine Storm, not the Season of Discovery Divine Storm rune. It is a separate quest line from Verigan’s Fist, and the current beta evidence lists it as Alliance-only. Likewise, Druid forms and Warlock summons are class quest rewards, but not class weapon pickups.
Forever’s database also lists other class-restricted weapons, including the Mage-only Coldflame Saber. A class restriction alone does not establish an independently verified acquisition quest, so that item is not presented here as an extra Mage’s Wand reward or as part of this confirmed quest route.
WoW Forever Class Weapon Quests FAQ
Which WoW Forever class weapon quest is newly added?
The Tempest’s Weapons is a new Shaman chain, and the Horde Paladin story culminating in Wolfsbane is new to Forever. The Rogue Eye of Bhossca route is updated; Warrior’s Whirlwind and Mage’s Wand are returning Classic quests.
Can I start these quests before level 30?
Paladin weapon work is available from level 20, with the Horde introduction earlier. Warrior, Shaman and Mage weapon routes begin at level 30. The Rogue database lists a lower minimum for its quest, while beta players report a later level-30 mail trigger. Starting a quest does not guarantee solo completion at that level.
Can I get all three Shaman weapons or all three Mage wands?
No. A single final hand-in asks you to select one of the available choices. Verify the tooltip and your primary spec before claiming the reward.
Are class quest weapons tradable or guaranteed dungeon drops?
No. The weapons listed here are personal class-quest rewards, not items another player can trade to you or drops guaranteed from an unrelated dungeon clear. Several chains include dungeon objectives, but the class quest needs to be completed through its own final hand-in.
Does LepreStore’s Class Quests Boost include Rogue?
Not currently. The published configurator lists Paladin, Warrior, Shaman and Mage weapon chains alongside selected Druid forms and Warlock summons. It does not list Rogue’s Eye of Bhossca, Hunter or Priest quests, or every other class chain.
Is the class weapon quest the same as my final Level 60 BiS weapon?
Not necessarily. These are early-to-midgame class rewards. Level 60 gear progression introduces different dungeon, raid, crafted and quest weapons. Use a class weapon because it is good for your current role and worthwhile at your present level, not because it is guaranteed to remain best at endgame.
