- One Lichtenberg obtained on your character. Farming continues until you receive it; the order does not stop after a fixed number of unsuccessful cache openings.
- Run and Gun: movement and headshots build charges for a bonus-damage shot with Shock. PvE and PvP have different values.
- Other weapons, gear and resources earned during the farming session, plus the Season Pass and SHD experience earned along the way.

Use a level-40 character with access to Red Moon Unleashed. The Prototype add-on uses the upgrade process; it does not require a random Prototype event drop. A naturally dropped Prototype and an upgraded regular rifle are different ways to obtain that quality.
Self-play lets you play your own character alongside the booster. Piloted requires private account access; Ubisoft prohibits sharing login details, so this method is not risk-free.
The 1-hour start and 4-hour completion are estimates, not a fixed cache count or a drop deadline. Express and Super Express do not change the selected weapon criteria or the Prototype prerequisite.
Run And Gun And Where Lichtenberg Drops
The charged shot is a burst of damage, not a permanent damage bonus.

During Red Moon Unleashed, Lichtenberg comes from Gear Caches and Red Moon Altars. Ubisoft lists the regular weapon at 7% and its Prototype version at 1% in the Gear Cache reward pool; altars use that same pool. These figures do not guarantee a drop within a set number of openings.
Event Keys used for Gear Caches cannot also be kept or donated. The event runs through November 3, 2026. Check availability before booking near the end of the event; this page does not promise the same farming source after it ends.
