Why the Eagle Bearer Takes So Many Runs
The Eagle Bearer is the reason most agents run Dark Hours, and it is locked behind two separate rolls. Each of the four raid bosses can drop it at roughly 1% per character, and the chest at the end carries the far better odds at around 10%. Both are capped per character per weekly reset, which is why farming it solo means waiting a week for another attempt.
That cap is what VIP Loot x8 works around. Every agent in the party has their own chest roll, and with x8 all of them come to you, so a single clear covers what would otherwise take eight weeks of personal resets. If you would rather not think in probabilities at all, the Eagle Bearer Farm option simply runs the raid until the weapon is in your inventory.
Why Dark Hours Still Stops Groups
Dark Hours is always scaled for eight players, whether eight show up or not. The raid asks for coordinated damage phases, role assignments and timing that most matchmade groups never reach, and it is harder still on console, where communication tools and aiming precision work against you.
