Kalphite Queen Requirements
Your account needs:
- Active OSRS membership.
- Two ropes for the Kalphite Lair entrances, unless you already have permanent ropes in place after the hard Desert Diary.
- Combat gear and supplies for the setup agreed with support.
- Account access for Piloted, or an agreed Remote connection.

Kq Head, Tattered Head And The Desert Diary
The hard Desert Diary asks you to kill the Kalphite Queen once. The elite diary has a different task: talk to a mounted Kalphite Queen head in your player-owned house. Obtaining a head, stuffing it and mounting it are separate steps; this order sells boss kills, not completion of the whole diary.

For accounts below 256 lifetime Kalphite Queen kills, the tattered Kq head is a one-time drop at that milestone. If your account has 196 KC, another 60 kills reaches that milestone. Tell support if you have already reached it, received the tattered head or missed its pickup; another KC package does not reset the drop. Stuffing either head at the Canifis Taxidermist costs 50,000 in-game coins before it can be mounted.
Reaching Kalphite Queen Without The Shortcut
The Kalphite Queen is in the Kalphite Lair south-west of Shantay Pass. You can fight her without completing the Desert Diary. Before the shortcut is unlocked, each return to the boss includes the run through the lair, which is why banking and resupply matter when planning a longer farm.
The hard Desert Diary makes the entrance ropes permanent once they have been placed. It does not unlock the shortcut: that requires the elite Desert Diary and 86 Agility. A farm for your first diary head therefore does not assume that you already have shortcut access.
Max Gear, Budget Gear And Two-Phase Kills
Max Gear and Budget Gear refer to equipment available on your account. Support confirms which option fits your weapons, armour and supplies before the farm. This order pays for boss kills; buying or upgrading equipment is separate.
Each completed kill includes the ground and airborne forms of the Kalphite Queen. A 100 KC order therefore means 100 completed two-phase fights. Your equipment and lair access affect banking trips and the time between kills, so confirm the schedule for your chosen amount and setup with support.
What Can Drop During Your KC Farm?
The kills in your order give you attempts at the boss’s loot table. These are some of the drops players farm for:

A listed drop rate is not a promise that the item arrives by that kill count. A collection-log entry appears when its item actually drops, not simply because a KC package is complete. If you mainly want the pet or a regular head, choose the number of kills you want farmed with that chance-based outcome in mind.
