WoW Forever Profession Boost

WoW Forever includes nine primary professions and three secondary professions. Each character can learn two primary professions in any combination. Cooking, First Aid, and Fishing can be learned alongside them.

Crafting Professions

• Alchemy — creates potions, elixirs, and other consumables.
• Blacksmithing — creates weapons, armor, and metal equipment.
• Enchanting — disenchants items and adds permanent effects to equipment.
• Engineering — creates explosives, devices, tools, and utility items.
• Leatherworking — creates Leather and Mail armor and other leather goods.
• Tailoring — creates Cloth armor, bags, and other cloth items.

Gathering Professions

• Herbalism — gathers herbs used primarily by Alchemy.
• Mining — collects ore, stone, and metals used by Blacksmithing and Engineering.
• Skinning — obtains leather, hides, and scales used by Leatherworking.

Secondary Professions

• Cooking — prepares food with restorative effects and other bonuses.
• First Aid — creates bandages and other healing supplies.
• Fishing — catches fish used for Cooking, Alchemy, and other recipes.

Crafting professions can qualify for Profession Leveling or a Profession Kit, depending on the selected skill range and included materials. Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, and Fishing require active gathering and cannot be completed through a material kit alone.

What Changes in WoW Forever Professions

As we already mentioned, professions weren't totally reworked - but significantly expanded through an updated system and many new unique items and recipes.

• over 600 new recipes across professions and level ranges;
• crafted food with stat effects and a small experience bonus;
• three campsite objects for every profession;
• first campsite objects learned at skill 20;
• advanced Blueprint recipes from specific dungeon bosses;
• profession skill milestones may contribute to Legacy Challenges;
• Legacy Points are shared, but each character spends them separately.

Profession Skill, Materials, Recipes, and Blueprints Are Separate

Profession skill, materials, recipes, and Blueprints are different parts of profession progression. Skill increases through eligible crafting or gathering actions. Materials are the inputs used during that process. Reaching a skill target does not automatically teach every recipe, and Blizzard states that advanced Blueprint recipes can drop from specific dungeon bosses.

Choose Profession Leveling when you need a skill target. Choose a Profession Kit when you want to level an eligible profession yourself. Order a named recipe or Blueprint only when its exact source and inclusion are stated.
