The Venomous Abyss Boost
Unlike Midnight Patch 12.0, which introduced three raids at once, The Venomous Abyss is the only raid available in Patch 12.1. Depending on the chosen difficulty, you'll need 20–30 players to conquer this zone. Storming into the Venomous Abyss, you'll face eight bosses, taking down hostile Amani trolls and Ula'tek cultists to earn the best possible PvE gear, rare achievements, and cool collectible items. As always, this raid challenges players to work as a tight-knit team to finish the main PvE adventure of Patch 12.1 as quickly as possible. With a Venomous Abyss boost, you'll get through the raid without any unexpected hiccups and enjoy all the rewards stress-free.
Where Venomous Abyss Is and What to Expect
To find the raid, players should head to the brand-new zone of Patch 12.1, the Coiled Isle, which is located east of Zul'Aman. This sunken temple serves as a prison for the evil Amani serpent goddess Ula'tek, whose corrupted blood has been feared for generations of trolls. Guided by the dark whispers of Malacrass, Zul'jan is on the verge of freeing this menace, risking the corruption of all Azeroth. To stop him, you just need to find the Venomous Abyss entrance located in the Coiled Isle zone.
Raid format:
- Challenge for a well-coordinated group of 10-30 players (Normal and Heroic) or 20 players (Mythic mode only requirement).
- Runs usually take 1–2 hours, depending on team members and their experience.
- Clear roles understanding and coordination are required (for tanks, healers, DPS).
- Features eight Venomous Abyss boss encounters: Nek'zali, the Soulcoiler, Vashnik, Breath of Ula'tek, Mor'zahi, Vexhul, Sszorak, Zul'jan, Ula'tek.
- Allows players to earn the iconic Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge FoS achievements and Glory of the Venomous Raider meta-achievement.
Enemies and Bosses in The Venomous Abyss Raid
The raid is divided into three complex zones: Essence of Ula'tek (featuring the Nek'zali, the Soulcoiler, Vashnik, and Breath of Ula'tek encounters), Beasts of Ula'tek (featuring the Mor'zahi, Vexhul, and Sszorak encounters), and Ula'tek (featuring the Zul'jan and Ula'tek encounters). Between the boss fights, you'll face an army of reanimated troll dead, Amani spirits, and soldiers of Zul'Aman warlords from the past. Random PUGs can't handle this challenge, especially on higher difficulties where the most valuable rewards are found.
Let's meet your enemies:
- Nek'zali the Soulcoiler – Restored by Ula'Tek power shadow hunter, who calls the other Soulcoilers to serve the serpent goddess. Single-target encounter.
- Entombed Sentinels – Corrupted by the venom of Ula'Tek ancient golems that guard within the vaults in the past. Multi-target encounter.
- Vashnik the Malignant – Creature that distills Ula'tek's venoms into ever more danger forms. Single-target encounter.
- The Lost Explorers – Hostile troll Mor'zahi threatens a band of tortollan explorers. Single-target encounter.
- Sszorak – A horrifying creature born from Ula'tek's toxic venom and living instrument of vengeance. Single-target encounter.
- The Twin Fangs – The first of Ula'tek's blood and the vicious guardians of the serpent goddess. Multi-target encounter.
- The Coiled Altar – The spirit of Amani warlord Malacrass and corrupted Zul'jan. Multi-target encounter.
- Ula'tek – Captured evil serpent goddess of Amani tribe from the past. Single-target encounter.
