The Umbral Hero title in WoW is a title that is awarded for reaching the top 0.1% player on the Mythic+ Score leaderboard. That requires you to earn around 3500+ M+ rating, which requires you to complete dungeons at much higher difficulty than the usual seasonal Keystone achievements such as KSM. The exact Mythic+ score cutoffs for the Mythic+ Rank 1 title vary from season to season, depending on dungeon rotation and people’s participation.

Every time you complete a keystone dungeon, you get some Mythic+ Rating. The amount depends on the key level, the speed of completion, and applied Affixes. The most surefire way to get a lot of M+ Score without the Umbral Hero boost is to run every dungeon within timer on highest possible difficulty. That will require some persistence and very skilled teammates. That’s the idea behind the WoW Umbral Hero boost: timed runs of difficult dungeons with a good team to get as much score as possible.

A team of professional boosters will carry you through difficult Mythic+ dungeons repeatedly to build up your M+ score until you reach what we predict to be the M+ 0.1% cutoff for the current season. The Umbral Hero boost is over at the end of the season, after you get your M+ 0.1 title. Please note that it will take some time for Blizzard to calculate the rating cutoffs and actually award you the title, so you won’t get it the second the next patch goes live.
