Who Is Armorsmithing Leveling For?

Choose Armorsmithing if you want to make armor as your character progresses and skip leveling the profession yourself. It covers seven equipment slots, from your helm to your cloak, so you can work toward individual upgrades without waiting for a particular armor drop.

The boost levels your profession and opens recipes. You then need the ingredients and successful crafts to make the armor you want. A finished Dragon Lord set is a separate goal, not the result of a profession-leveling order.

If you only need one tradable piece, compare its Marketplace price with the cost of leveling and crafting it. For weapon or Guard recipes, choose Blacksmithing; for bows, staves, and jewelry, choose Handicrafting.

Novice or Professional: Choose Your Armorsmithing Levels

Novice and Professional each have levels 1–50. Choose one rank, then set your current and desired levels within it. Novice 20–50 finishes your Novice training; it does not also cover Professional 1–50.

Novice starts with Orichalcum Ingots, Strong Leather, and Orichalcum armor. Further leveling opens Expert’s and Artisan’s Orichalcum recipes. Professional adds Dragon Lord armor and processed Balaur leather.

These are profession levels, not character levels. Expert’s and Artisan’s in an item name describe crafted equipment, not extra ranks sold by this service.

What Armor Can You Craft?

Armorsmithing makes breastplates, greaves, helms, pauldrons, gloves, boots, and cloaks. Both factions craft Orichalcum armor in Novice. Professional adds True Dragon Lord recipes for Elyos and Star Dragon Lord recipes for Asmodians.

Each recipe opens at its own profession level. The table compares recipe families across the ranks; choosing a low target level does not unlock every recipe in that column.

How Do You Unlock Professional Armorsmithing?

After Novice 50, complete the Armorsmithing Specialty Skill upgrade quest. Elyos speak with Neet in Verteron; Asmodians speak with Valencia in Altgard.

The test asks you to craft a Novice Armorsmith’s Fabric (Bound). One attempt uses 6 Orichalcum Ingots and 3 Odyle for either faction. Completing the quest upgrades Armorsmithing to Professional.

Reaching Novice 50 and completing the promotion are separate steps. More Novice crafting alone does not open Professional.

Materials and Armor Crafting Chains

Armorsmithing uses both metal and leather. Early recipes combine Orichalcum Ingots and Strong Leather with Refining Stones and Odyle. Professional armor adds materials such as Tanned Thick Balaur Leather and Wrathful Mind.

What does a basic breastplate need?

One Orichalcum Breastplate attempt uses 2 Orichalcum Ingots, 4 Strong Leather, 3 Refining Stones, and 1 Odyle. This is one recipe, not the total material budget for leveling.

Why do later recipes need earlier armor?

Expert’s Orichalcum Breastplate consumes a Splendent Orichalcum Breastplate. Artisan’s Orichalcum Breastplate then uses an Expert’s Splendent Orichalcum Breastplate. Both True Dragon Lord Breastplate and Star Dragon Lord Breastplate require an Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Breastplate alongside their other ingredients.

Keep an earlier piece if you plan to use it in the next craft. Splendent versions come from chance-based combo results, so opening a recipe does not guarantee the upgraded item. Extra attempts can increase your material costs.

Your armorsmith completes the crafts needed for the purchased levels. You keep unused materials and equipment left after leveling; ingredients and earlier items consumed in recipes cannot also be returned as finished stock.

Crafting Armor for Yourself or for Kinah

For your own gear, start with the slot you want to improve. Compare the finished armor’s stats and price with your current piece before committing materials to its crafting chain.

For sales, compare the price of the finished piece with the cost of its ingredients, required earlier armor, and repeated attempts. A leveled profession lets you make those items yourself, but profit depends on your server’s prices and demand.

Requirements, Piloted Play, and Completion Time

This service requires a level 45 character and account access for Piloted play. It is available on PC through Steam or PURPLE. For Professional leveling, your character must already have Novice 50; the promotion to Professional follows the quest described above.

One assigned armorsmith signs in and controls your character. You provide access and approve login authentication if prompted. Log out during the session so you do not interrupt the crafting. You can work, go out for dinner, or watch with the optional Stream extra.

How long does Armorsmithing leveling take?

The estimated start is 1–2 hours once your character is ready and access is arranged. Estimated completion is about 1 day. Your level range, materials, and server conditions can affect the schedule. Express and Priority is available as an extra.
