Each Class has 14 total slots for skills. Eight of the slots are reserved for Mastery skills (think your regular common spells / skills), and six are reserved for Stigma Skills (think ultimate abilities / special skills). In regards to Mastery Skills, each skill has multiple tiers and can be upgraded all the way to level sixteen. Ten of those levels are upgraded by spending skill points obtained through leveling up your character. The remaining six can only be upgraded by completing your Daevanion Board. Stigma skills can only be upgraded through Stigma Shards, and Stigma Shards are obtained through end-game Transcendence & Expedition Runs and can be bought with Abyss Points. Constructing a good spell build is a bit of a headache itself, but actually making the build work and maxed out is a different story altogether.
