Discipline Priest and Holy Priest lead the current WoW Forever healer tier list at Level 30. Restoration Shaman and Restoration Druid follow in A Tier, while Holy Paladin sits in B Tier. The important part is that the gap is not large enough to make any of these healers non-viable for the PvE content available in the current beta.
This page ranks PvE healing at the current Level-30 cap. It is a different question from the WoW Forever Best Class Tier List, which compares complete class packages, and from the WoW Forever PvP Tier List, where control, survivability, dispels, mobility, and Mana pressure create a different healer hierarchy.
The current bracket also cannot prove the final Level-60 raid meta. Deep-tree talents, complete gear sets, raid encounters, profession bonuses, and tuning can all move these specs before launch. Use the ranking below to compare what the healers can actually do now.
WoW Forever Best Healers at Level 30 — Quick Facts
WoW Forever Healer Tier List at Level 30
| Tier | Healers | Current Level-30 Read |
|---|---|---|
| S | Discipline Priest, Holy Priest | The strongest current mix of healing output, Mana efficiency, defensive tools, and useful damage or utility between pulls. |
| A | Restoration Shaman, Restoration Druid | Excellent healers with strong sustain and group value, but slightly less complete than Priest in the current bracket. |
| B | Holy Paladin | Fully viable and utility-rich, but current healing throughput and Mana recovery trail the other four healers slightly. |
The current external benchmark is Wowhead’s Level-30 healer ranking for patch 1.60.1. Its methodology weighs healing and absorption, Mana efficiency, cooldowns, group utility, and offensive contribution rather than looking only at raw healing numbers. How We Rank Healers in the Current Beta
A healer that produces the largest single heal is not automatically the best healer. Level-30 dungeons reward the ability to keep the group stable without stopping after every pull, respond to sudden damage, and contribute useful support when healing demand is low.
- Healing and prevention: direct healing, healing over time, absorbs, emergency recovery, and how well the toolkit handles both tank damage and party damage.
- Mana efficiency: how long the healer can maintain useful output before drinking or slowing the group down.
- Cooldowns: what the spec can do when incoming damage suddenly exceeds the normal healing loop.
- Group utility: buffs, dispels, totems, auras, shields, mobility, and other tools that make the party safer or faster.
- Offensive contribution: how much useful damage the healer can add when nobody currently needs a heal.
If healing is only one part of your character choice, use the Best Class Tier List instead. A class with a lower current healer placement may still be the better main if you value tanking, damage, solo play, or role flexibility. For player-versus-player healing, use the separate PvP Tier List.
S-Tier Healers in WoW Forever
Discipline Priest
Discipline is one of the two strongest current Level-30 healers because it can prevent damage before the health bar drops and still recover efficiently after damage lands. Power Word: Shield gives the spec an immediate answer to dangerous pulls, while the Level-30 talent budget reaches Penance and makes the tree feel much closer to its intended Forever identity.
Discipline also gets value from Priest’s broader toolkit. Shields no longer shut down Rage generation for Warrior and Druid tanks, offensive dispels remain useful, and Wand Specialization lets a Priest contribute meaningful no-Mana damage between healing events without spending the same resources needed for recovery.
The tradeoff is that proactive healing rewards good timing. A late shield does less for the pull than one placed before the dangerous damage starts, and Weakened Soul still limits repeated shielding. Start with the WoW Forever Priest Guide if you are still deciding between Discipline, Holy, and Shadow. Once Discipline is the choice, the Discipline Priest Guide owns the exact current build, shield timing, Penance usage, stats, and deeper PvE planning.
Holy Priest
Holy reaches the same S Tier through a more reactive style. Instead of centering the healing plan on absorbs, Holy asks the player to match the spell to the damage pattern: efficient direct healing for focused damage, Renew for steady damage, Binding Heal when both the Priest and another player are injured, and broader group tools when several players need attention.
Holy benefits from the same strong Priest foundation as Discipline: efficient Mana tools, useful damage when healing demand is low, dispels, buffs, and a toolkit that remains useful even when the group is not taking constant heavy damage. At Level 30, it already has enough talent depth to feel like a dedicated healer rather than an early-level Priest simply casting whichever heal is available.
Its deeper Level-60 tools should not be used to justify the current S ranking. Prayer of Mending and later interactions belong to future progression, not the present Level-30 bracket. Use the WoW Forever Priest Guide for the class-level choice, then the Holy Priest Guide for the exact healing priority, Mana management, current-cap talents, and later Holy framework.
A-Tier Healers in WoW Forever
Restoration Shaman
Restoration Shaman is one of the most comfortable non-Priest healers at Level 30. The current bracket gives it strong Mana efficiency, Water Shield, Nature’s Swiftness, direct healing, dispel utility, and Totems that help the whole group even when raw healing is not the limiting factor.
Shaman can also contribute damage without abandoning the healer job. Searing Totem and Fire Nova provide useful pressure, while Shocks and the broader Shaman spellbook create more ways to help a pull than simply casting another heal. What it does not yet have is the full later support package: Windfury Totem is not part of the Level-30 healer value proposition, so the spec should be judged on the tools actually available now.
The WoW Forever Shaman Guide is the right first stop if you are deciding between ranged DPS, melee DPS, and healing. Once Restoration is the goal, use the Restoration Shaman Guide for the current build, healing priorities, Water Shield, Mana management, and later PvE theorycraft.
Restoration Druid
Restoration Druid earns A Tier through sustained healing, strong Mana regeneration, mobility, and excellent tank support. Rejuvenation and Regrowth allow healing to continue after the cast, Healing Touch covers direct recovery, and the current talent depth reaches important emergency tools such as Swiftmend and Nature’s Swiftness.
Thorns is another reason the class feels better than a pure healing-meter comparison suggests. In the current bracket, putting Thorns on the tank can add meaningful free damage while the Druid continues doing the normal healing job. That kind of contribution matters in dungeons where the healer is judged partly by how smoothly the whole group moves through the run.
Restoration is slightly less universally dominant than Priest in the current snapshot, but the difference is not large enough to make it a weak choice. Start with the WoW Forever Druid Guide if you still value the option to switch into Balance, Cat, or Bear later. The Restoration Druid Guide owns the healing build, HoT management, Mana rules, Swiftmend interactions, and deeper Restoration planning.
B-Tier Healer: Holy Paladin
Holy Paladin
Holy Paladin is B Tier in this Level-30 snapshot, but B does not mean bad. The spec can heal current content and brings a support package that no healing meter captures cleanly: Blessings, defensive cooldowns, durable armor, Retribution Aura, and the wider Paladin utility kit all help a group survive mistakes.
The reason it sits below the other four healers is more specific. Current healing throughput and Mana regeneration are slightly weaker than the S- and A-tier options, so Holy has less margin when a pull becomes long or several players need sustained recovery at once. Holy Shock gives the Level-30 tree a useful instant tool, but the deeper healing package is still incomplete.
That makes Holy especially attractive for players who want Paladin as a class first and healer as a role second. The WoW Forever Paladin Guide compares Holy with Protection and Retribution. The Holy Paladin Guide owns the healing priorities, Mana management, current talent route, and later PvE framework.
Best WoW Forever Healer by Situation
| What You Want | Start With | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best current all-around healer | Discipline Priest or Holy Priest | Both combine strong output, Mana efficiency, utility, and useful contribution when healing demand is low. |
| Prevent damage before it lands | Discipline Priest | Power Word: Shield and Penance reward proactive timing and give the spec strong emergency control. |
| Broad reactive healing toolkit | Holy Priest | More natural answers for changing tank, party, and self-damage patterns. |
| Mana-efficient hybrid support | Restoration Shaman | Strong sustain plus Totems, Shocks, Purge, and useful damage tools. |
| HoTs, mobility, and tank synergy | Restoration Druid | Sustained healing, strong regeneration, instant emergency tools, and valuable Thorns support. |
| Healer on a Paladin main | Holy Paladin | Healing plus Blessings, defensive utility, durable armor, and the option to tank or melee on the same class. |
Level 30 Healing Is Not the Final Level-60 Meta
The current ranking is useful because Level 30 exposes much more of each healing tree than the opening beta, but it still stops before complete endgame builds. Several defining talents, full raid gear, profession interactions, and encounter-specific demands remain untested.
That matters most when comparing the current Priest advantage with later hybrid packages. Holy Paladin can gain deeper healing interactions, Restoration Druid continues toward Wild Growth, Restoration Shaman gets access to later totem and healing tools, and both Priest trees still have deeper talents ahead. None of those future tools should be counted as if they were already available at Level 30.
Use this page to choose the healer that performs well now. Move to the class hub if you are still deciding whether the class itself fits you, then into the linked healer guide once the role is chosen. Exact point allocations and presets remain calculator-owned rather than being duplicated on this ranking page.
Turn Your Healer Pick Into PvE Progression
Once you know which healing style fits you, choose the group content you want to prepare for next. The current Level-30 ranking is most useful for dungeons now, while raids remain a later-progression goal rather than a finished Level-60 healing meta.
