How to Choose Diablo 4 Currency and Materials
What Counts as Diablo 4 Currency and Materials?
This category covers spendable currency, crafting inputs, boss keys, Boss Trophies, upgrade materials, socketables, and current seasonal resources. Gold pays for crafting, enchanting, upgrades, vendors, and player trades. Runes activate Runewords or supply Mythic recipes. Obducite pays for Masterworking. Lair Boss keys open personal reward Hoards after the fight. Five matching Boss Trophies can be transmuted in the Horadric Cube into a random Unique from that boss’s loot table.
Direct Trade or Farming on Your Character?
Choose a direct-trade product when the item can move through Diablo 4’s trade window. Gold, Lair Boss keys, Boss Trophies, Superior Lair Keys, and stocked Mythic Rune Craft Sets are transferred to your character in game. You stay on your account and do not share a password.
Account-bound resources cannot be handed over by another character. Obducite, Murmuring Obols, Red Dust, and Soul Splinters are earned on the receiving character. Flawless Horadric Gems are farmed and crafted there. The current Runewords service obtains the selected Runes on that character. These services use the mode shown on the product: Piloted, Selfplay, or Remote Selfplay.
Choose the Resource by the Result You Need
- Gold: select the amount for crafting, enchanting, Masterworking costs, vendors, or player trading. Gold is not Platinum and cannot buy Battle.net Shop cosmetics.
- Runes: the Runewords service lets you select the exact Ritual Rune, Invocation Rune, and quantity required by your build instead of accepting a random bundle.
- Flawless Horadric Gems: choose the exact gem type and quantity in the Horadric Gem service. One assigned player farms the inputs and crafts the ordered gems on your character.
- Mythic Rune Craft Set: receive all 18 Runes for one Jeweler recipe in the selected gear slot. You provide an Item Power 850+ Unique base and three Resplendent Sparks unless Sparks are added to the order. The recipe creates a random class-usable Mythic in that slot, not a named Mythic.
- Lair Boss keys: choose the named key and quantity from Diablo 4 Boss Keys. Each key opens your personal reward Hoard after the matching Lair Boss dies.
- Boss Trophies: Living Steel, Distilled Fear, Exquisite Blood, Malignant Hearts, Shards of Agony, and Pincushioned Dolls do not open Hoards. Transmute five matching trophies in the Horadric Cube to create one random Unique from the corresponding boss’s loot table.
- Obducite: choose the amount needed for Blacksmith Masterworking. The Obducite service farms that account-bound material on your character in Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes, or Kurast Undercity.
Current Seasonal Materials
Season 15 adds two different Splinter products. Abyssal Soul Splinters are account-bound Jewelry gems: choose one of eight named types and the quantity, and one assigned player farms matching copies and upgrades them through Amalgamation to Abyssal rarity. Splinter of Evil is a progression service for the selected Diablo, Baal, or Mephisto path and continues until that chosen Splinter drops. Both require a Seasonal character.
Fixed Quantity, Exact Choice, or Random Result?
Gold, keys, trophies, Obducite, and most material products sell the configured quantity. Runes, Horadric Gems, and Soul Splinters also let you choose the exact type. Splinter of Evil instead guarantees pursuit of the selected path until the Splinter drops.
The Resplendent Spark service obtains one guaranteed Mythic from Echo of Mephisto for each purchased Spark and salvages it. If you choose to keep that Mythic, it replaces the Spark result; it does not add another Mephisto run. A Mythic Rune Craft Set guarantees its 18 Runes, not the name or affixes of the Mythic created afterward.
Realm, Mode, and Character Requirements
Match every order to the character that will receive it. Gold supports Seasonal or Eternal and Softcore or Hardcore selections. Soul Splinters and Splinters of Evil are Seasonal. Superior Lair Keys currently use the Eternal Realm configuration. Direct trade requires a character that can meet the assigned player and accept the items. The Soul Splinter product can add leveling to 70 and a Torment XII unlock; Resplendent Spark can add the Torment XII unlock. Piloted products require account access.
Currency and Materials Are Not Unique Items
Use this category when you need D4 currency, a crafting input, key, gem, Rune, or account-bound farm. If you need a named piece of equipment, use Diablo 4 Unique Items. A material order does not guarantee an unrelated random equipment drop.
What Changes the Price and Completion Time?
The total changes with the resource, exact type, quantity, realm, game mode, and service method. Direct trades depend on stock and the scheduled meeting. Character farms depend on the amount and activity used to earn it. Configure the exact product and use the total and ETA shown for those selections.
