What are Challenge Dungeons?
Challenge Dungeons are optional Season 15 encounters that send you into a compact arena against a powerful boss. Unlike Nightmare Dungeons, they focus on a single high-stakes fight instead of a full dungeon with objectives and multiple rooms.
Challenge Dungeon Rewards
Challenge Dungeons award boss loot, with stronger rewards available at higher difficulty settings. You have a chance to earn Mythic items, Soul Splinters, Charms, or Greater Affixes, but there are no guaranteed drops from each boss.
How to Enter Challenge Dungeons
Challenge Dungeons are accessed through special portals that appear randomly while exploring and fighting enemies in the Overland. Enter the portal when it appears, select the available challenge level, and proceed directly to the encounter. The portals appear randomly, so you can spend up to an hour looking for one, or get ten in the same span of time.
Do I Need Keys for Challenge Dungeons?
Challenge Dungeons do not require keys, Nightmare Sigils, or other entry items. That makes them more accessible than Nightmare Dungeons, but less convenient to find.
Challenge Dungeon Difficulty
On Torment difficulty, the encounter can be increased by up to three Torment tiers above your current setting. This lets you get a difficult boss fight with high rewards without switching difficulty for the rest of the mobs in the Overland. The difficulty is represented as +5, +10, or +15 to boss level, which is about equal one Torment level each.
Is There Torment 15 in Season 15?
Torment 15 can be reached inside a Challenge Dungeon by entering from Torment 12 and selecting the maximum +15 difficulty. It is an encounter-specific difficulty, not a permanent Torment 15 world tier.
What Determines Challenge Dungeon Completion Time?
Challenge Dungeon portals appear randomly in the Overland, so the total completion time depends on how quickly the required portals spawn. The booster begins searching at the agreed service time and continues until the selected number of completed encounters is reached.
The order covers completed runs rather than a guaranteed number of portals per hour. Selecting more runs or a higher challenge level can increase the total service time.
What Counts as a Completed Challenge Dungeon Run?
A run counts after the ordered boss has been defeated and its rewards become available. If a portal closes, the connection is interrupted, or the encounter ends before completion, that attempt is not deducted from the number of runs included in your order.
