The community’s most requested villain from FFVI and Sigmascape — Kefka Palazzo — finally got his spotlight in his ultimate form. Released on June 2, 2026, with Patch 7.51, this is the last and most difficult Ultimate of Dawntrail before 8.0 Evercold. This ultimate is driven by the iconic Dancing Mad theme, carrying over Sigmascape’s mechanical DNA. But unlike other raids, this is a true duel — for about 90% of the encounter, it’s just your party against Kefka himself across 5 phases. “Mister Prime” was involved in the development of the new Ultimate — the same guy responsible for the upcoming Evolved mode for Evercold, a completely new battle system for every job in the game. This fight represents the future and the vision of FFXIV’s hardcore content.
