The final Phantom Weapon, Occultum, is more than just another glamour weapon. It has the same item level as Grand Champion and Palazzo Diamond weapons, but its adjustable attributes and slightly larger stat allocation make it the BiS weapon for all content in the game.
Each Phantom Relic stage has its own unique grind that usually takes around a week or two. You can choose the stage you need , or pick the full relic for the entire farm from Penumbrae to Occultum stages.
| Stage | Item Level | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Penumbrae | 745 | 18 Demiatma and 1,500 Mathematics Tomestones |
| Umbrae | 760 | Five quest materials, 40,000 Aetherwell points, and 1,500 Mathematics Tomestones |
| Obscurum | 775 | Four quest materials, 1,200 Crystal Paste, and 1,500 Mathematics Tomestones |
| Eclipticum | 790 | Four quest materials, 300 Phantom Dispellers, and 1,500 Mathematics Tomestones |
| Occultum | 795 | Knowledge Crystal objectives, 30 FATEs, selected enemies, and 35 duties |
Penumbrae is the first Phantom Weapon stage. It requires three of each of the six Demiatma types. These can drop from FATEs and Critical Encounters in the Occult Crescent: South Horn or from FATEs in the six Dawntrail zones. After completing this step for one relic, you don’t have to repeat all this grind for other relics. All you need to do is purchase three Arcanite for a total of 1,500 Allagan Tomestones of Mathematics and exchange them for a completed relic for the selected job from Dodokkuli in Phantom Village. With our FFXIV Phantom Relic Boosting Service, we will complete the grindy part, and all you need to do is farm tomes to trade for any relic you want.
Umbrae is the second stage that adds a visual effect to the previous relic weapon. This time, there will be 2 quests. In the 1st, you need to craft or buy Rroneek Glue, Ut’ohmu Siderite, and three types of Synthetic Dark Matter. But the 2nd one is a real game changer, since SE finally listened to the community and made the relic really grindy. You must fill four sections of the Aetherwell Array by collecting 10,000 points from High-level Dungeon, Alliance Raid, Trial, and Normal Raid roulettes. This step can take up to a month of roulette grinding for casual players, and, like in the 1st stage, you can exchange the completed Umbrae for other jobs for another 1,500 Mathematics Tomestones required to complete the upgrade.
The Obscurum stage raises the ilvl to 775 and gives it a new glowing effect. We have 2 quests here as well, and the 1st one repeats the same process: just craft or buy some items and deliver them to Gerolt. But with the 2nd part, we continue our grind saga. What we need to farm is 1,200 Crystal Paste. It can be obtained from Dawntrail duties, roulettes, open-world FATEs, South Horn Critical Encounters, Heavyweight raids, Pilgrim’s Traverse, and other content. This is the longest step in the Phantom Relic Saga, and you can skip all this grind with our FFXIV Phantom Relic Carry service and unlock the 1,500-tome exchange.
With the Eclipticum stage, we are finally getting to the end of the expansion and the ilvl 790 Phantom Weapon stage introduced with the North Horn. The first upgrade requires a Monarch Whetstone and three crafted materials: an Ancestral Alloy Ingot, Ascendant Twine, and Majestic Polish. During the 2nd part, we go into the Occult Crescent and start grinding FATEs and Critical Encounters in the North Horn to collect 100 Phantom Dispellers of each type: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. There is also an option to farm High-level Dungeon, Trial, and Normal Raid roulettes to get them. The stage ends with a 1,500 Mathematics Tomestone exchange for three Ecliptic Arcanite.
The Occultum Stage is the fifth and final Phantom Weapon stage added in Patch 7.55. It upgrades an Eclipticum weapon to item level 795, and our relic finally becomes BiS until 8.0. To complete the first Occultum relic, you must fill a Knowledge Crystal. This means farming selected enemies, completing 30 FATEs across the six Dawntrail zones, and completing 35 duties:
After every objective is complete, you can select the weapon’s secondary attributes. Two selected attributes receive 447 points each, while a third receives 108 points. This customization and the higher total stat allocation make Occultum slightly better than Savage weapons. You can skip all this grind with our FF14 Phantom Relic Boosting Service and get BiS weapons for all your jobs without the grind.
Phantom Weapons are level 100 Dawntrail Relics that will be upgraded throughout the expansion, and by the end, they will become the BiS weapon for every job and the BiS for all Ultimates.
Absolutely! You can choose a full Phantom Weapon Boost or only specific stages, like farming Demiatma or completing the Aetherwell Array.
The fastest way to farm Demiatma is by running Critical Engagements in The Occult Crescent, which have around a 15% drop chance depending on the area. FATEs in DT zones is another option, but they are much slower with roughly a 5% drop rate. While some players finish all 18 Demiatmas in a few days, the grind can easily drag on. If you want to skip the farm and still get your relic, order the FFXIV Phantom Weapons Boost from LepreStore.
This stage is grindy as hell, farming Light for the Aetherwell Array can take over a week. You are looking at 100 plus Trial roulettes, 100 plus Normal Raids, 60 plus High-Level dungeons, and the real pain, 30 plus Alliance Raids. If you do not want to live in roulettes, just skip it with the FFXIV Phantom Relic Weapons Boost from LepreStore.
Own an Eclipticum weapon, complete the Knowledge Crystal objectives, and exchange it for Occultum IL 795 with selected attributes.
Yes. Eclipticum requires Obscurum, while Occultum requires Eclipticum. Choose the full option if you need all stages.
Yes. You can select the secondary attributes during the final Occultum upgrade.
It depends on the selected stage and your current progress. A single stage is faster than completing the full relic.
