Why The Omega Protocol Is So Hard

The Omega Protocol is difficult because it tests two different things: progression consistency and reclear consistency. During prog, groups usually struggle most with Phase 5 Run: Dynamis, because reaching it already requires clean execution through P1-P4. During reclears, Phase 2 and Phase 6 often become the biggest wipe points because they leave very little room for recovery.

Prog difficulty order: P5 > P2 > P6 > P1 > P3 > P4.

• Phase 5 – Run: Dynamis: The hardest progression phase in TOP. The trios are long, punishing, and require clean coordination through Delta, Sigma, and Omega. Reaching P5 also means your group must execute P1-P4 consistently, which makes every pull a major endurance check.
• Phase 2 – Omega-M and Omega-F: The second major wall for many groups. Party Synergy is fast, strict, and unforgiving, while Pantokrator into Party Synergy often becomes the first real filter of the fight.
• Phase 6 – Alpha Omega: Mechanically simpler than P5, but much less forgiving. A single death can end the pull, and healers have to handle constant movement, precise mitigation, Wave Cannon damage, and the final healing check.
• Phase 1 – Omega: Program Loop is a focus check, while Pantokrator requires precise movement for each number. Mistakes early in P1 send the group back before the fight even opens up.
• Phase 3 – Reconfigured Omega: Hello World is mostly a mitigation and positioning check. The main danger is players clipping each other with Nisi debuffs or dying to raid damage.
• Phase 4 – Blue Screen: Usually the easiest phase once learned. Most wipes here come from the DPS check, missed flexes, or basic execution mistakes.

TOP Reclear Difficulty by Phase

Reclear difficulty order: P2 > P6 > P5 > P3 > P1 > P4.

• Phase 2: Still dangerous in reclears because Party Synergy is a quick 8/8 body check with very little time to recover from mistakes.
• Phase 6: A perfection check. Even when the mechanics are known, one death or failed Exasquare dodge can stop the clear immediately.
• Phase 5: Extremely hard during prog, but more stable in reclears once the group understands the trio timing and Dynamis flow.
• Phase 3: Easier after prog because the mitigation plan and Hello World positions become predictable.
• Phase 1: Mostly a focus check in reclears. Experienced groups should pass it consistently.
• Phase 4: The lowest reclear risk unless the group misses the DPS check or makes a simple positioning error.
