Wings of Eternity is a Wings mount from The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden, an Extreme Trial with Queen Eternal boss added in Patch 7.1. Sphene EX is a level 100, 8-player duty with a minimum average item level of 710 and is unlocked through the Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal after completing the Crossroads MSQ patch.
The mount can drop directly from the Sphene’s Burden treasure coffer or be purchased for x99 Totem Eternal from Uah’shepya in Solution Nine. Wings of Eternity is also one of the seven Dawntrail Wings mounts required to unlock the Wings of Legacy collection mount.
Why Sphene EX Farming Is Hard
Sphene’s Burden Extreme is not a difficult fight to clear once, but farming it dozens of times requires the whole party to stay consistent. World Shatter repeatedly changes the arena, while Radical Shift changes the platform again and immediately forces all eight players to spread correctly. One bad position can kill another player and quickly turn a farm pull into a wipe.
Absolute Authority is another major consistency check with consecutive baits, proximity AoEs, stacks, spreads, knockbacks, and raidwide damage. Even after reaching the final phase, the party still has to resolve more Radical Shifts and World Shatter before Preservation, the fight’s hard enrage. This is why Party Finder farming can become frustrating: every replacement player has to execute the same mechanics correctly for every clear.
Wings of Eternity Drop vs 99 Totem Eternals
With our FFXIV Wings of Eternity Boost, the static continues the farm until either the mount drops or enough Totem Eternal are collected for the guaranteed exchange.
There are two possible outcomes while farming Wings of Eternity. The fastest way is to drop Wings of Eternity from Queen Eternal. However, the drop is RNG-based, and in a PF group you still need to win the loot roll when Wings of Eternity appears.
The second route is guaranteed. Sphene’s Burden Extreme rewards x2 Totem Eternal per clear, and x99 Totem Eternal can be exchanged for the mount. If RNG is bad, the road to 99 totems can take up to 50 Sphene EX clears. Square Enix increased the Wings of Eternity drop rate in Patch 7.3, but no exact current drop percentage was published.
