About FFXIV Wings of Mist Mount

Wings of Mist is the sixth Dawntrail Extreme Trial mount, added with Patch 7.4 on December 16, 2025. It drops from Hell on Rails (Extreme), a level 100 Trial where you encounter Doomtrain in a unique moving-platform arena. The mount itself is directly tied to the Doomtrain and Alexandria story theme. Its journal describes the Wings as being found near the railroad tracks of Treno and connects them to the Mist Continent. The drop rate was increased, and after the release of Patch 7.55, Doomtrain Wings can be traded for 99 Runaway Totems, giving players a guaranteed way to get the FF14 Wings of Mist mount.

What Are Runaway Totems Used For?

Runaway Totems are a guaranteed Hell on Rails Extreme reward. You receive 2 Totems for every Doomtrain Extreme clear.

You can use them for two main exchanges:

  • 10 Runaway Totems for an IL 775 Runaway weapon.
  • 99 Runaway Totems for the Wings of Mist mount.

Both exchanges are handled by Uah’shepya in Solution Nine. Because of the 99-Totem mount exchange, you no longer have to farm Doomtrain forever waiting for pure RNG.

How to Get Wings of Mist in FFXIV

Wings of Mist can drop directly from Doomtrain in Hell on Rails (Extreme), or you can exchange 99 Runaway Totems for the mount.
