How Our FFXIV Master’s Bestiary Boost Works
Four steps from checkout to the reward on your account.
FFXIV Master’s Bestiary Boost Requirements
A Beastmaster cannot catch a monster above their current level. Some beasts require level 50, so full 50/50 Bestiary completion requires Beastmaster Level 50.
- Active FFXIV account with Dawntrail and an active subscription.
- Beastmaster unlocked.
- Beastmaster Level 50 for full 50/50 completion.
- Any duty needed for a direct capture must be unlocked. If that beast has a solo unlock method, support can use it instead.
How Your Master’s Bestiary Order Is Handled
The service is completed in piloted mode because beast captures must be made on your character.
What Is the FFXIV Master’s Bestiary
The Master’s Bestiary is Beastmaster’s collection log added in Patch 7.56. The first version contains 50 beasts. Captured beasts appear in the Bestiary and can be assigned to three Battlehorns. Each beast has its own Tempered Release action, giving Beastmaster 50 different Tempered Release actions in total. It serves a similar purpose to the Blue Magic Spellbook for Blue Mage, but records captured beasts and their actions instead of learned spells.
With 50 beasts, there are 19,600 different three-beast combinations (50 choose 3). Crucible encounters show enemy weaknesses and effective status effects before the fight, so having more beasts gives you more options when you need a specific attack type, debuff, or status effect.

The Master’s Bestiary has 50 Beastmaster beasts. Most are caught in A Realm Reborn open-world zones, but several entries require dungeons, a trial, raids, or an Alliance Raid. Cu Sith is your starting beast and does not need to be caught.
Is Catching Beasts RNG-Heavy?
Capture chance improves as you weaken the beast, but you should not need dozens of attempts on the same monster. Most of the time goes into finding the correct beast, reaching the required Beastmaster level, and getting to the dungeon, trial, or Alliance Raid where it appears.
Some beasts can also be obtained without catching them in their original duty. Cornago’s Jar lets you add a beast to your collection without a direct capture. The item is obtained with Beast Cores earned through the Crucible of the Unbroken, so beasts tied to group content can still be collected through solo Beastmaster play.
